Let me first say, that I have NEVER posted anything on these boards, but I just feel a duty to warn anyone else that may be in my situation with this company. I want to warn all of your of this company. RUN in the other direction. GET YOUR OFFER IN WRITING! I am someone who prides themselves on being detail oriented, always show up for work on time, and work commonly work over, and I have 15+ years of experience. I will post MY name, because I am not afraid of these idiots. First off, I requested my offer in writing. That email, twice, was never responded to. All I wanted was to verify my pay. For me, their offer was 10 cents a line, plus 1/2 cent a line for all work going through my exclusive account for which they also wanted me to manage, YET, they would NOT give me any way to see what the bi-weekly line count was so I could determine my what my paycheck was. Would they screw me over???? You betcha, that's why they wouldn't give me an offer letter in writing. They told me I would have no problem making 1400 every two weeks. Would they give that to me in writing? NO way!! Just a verbal. I wasn't asking for EXACT amounts, just maybe give me historically for the past two months what the line count has been on this hospital, so I would have a ballpark of my paycheck would be...NO WAY... Melissa seemed like I was asking something ABSURD and told me she had never had this problem with anyone else. What, it's a problem to ask what my paycheck will be before it's deposited???? Sure, I could do the line count on my own transcribed reports...by the way, which you can see below was not going to be much, since there were about 5 reports on the weekends to transcribe, which is why she put me on a lower paying account, with TONS of work. OK, enough of that...
They rarely answer emails. The regional manager is as unprofessional as they come. A flake if you will. Her name is Melissa. How they keep customers is beyond me. Their mode of transcription is ARCHAIC. I needed 6 log in IDS, just to obtain patient information, at which time, I would have to transcribe the work in Word, save it by the patient name, the job number, the date, another system number, the doctor, and my initials, RIDICULOUS!!, and post the job to an FTP site, post the job in a payroll folder, and then, log back in and do the whole password garbage all over again. All in all taking about 20 minutes to type a 3 minute report when all was said and done. I might add, Melissa wanted me to work 7 DAYS IN A ROW, without a day off. I swear to GOD, that's the truth. She stated, Well, as a manager, you won't have to work full 8 hour days.. No day off people!
Please, do yourself a favor, and do not bother with these incompetent people. Work for a national company that gives you a written contract, you work 5 days, have incentive pay for hard work, and are rewarded with technology that makes your work easier. Just my opinion, as I have no direct experience with this company, but....
When THAT many MTs have had issues with a company and the archives are full of negative, do not even consider working for them! I trust the opinions on this site and take their warnings seriously. It's better to pass up a job than to be 3 months down the road, time and money tied up in this place, and be very sorry you did. Best of luck in your job search.

All of these posts have made me feel like I'm stepping in the right direction!
I've never seen this many positive posts about a company on here! I'm so glad that I decided to contact them and now have an interview!
TT doesn't care about their MT's anymore; just under Dictaphone's direction and OVERHIRE du
knowing that they were going to lose MT's due to the recent strong enforcement policy that every MT going to VR and low PAY. They hired early to take care of the loss of MT's due to this policy.
Most of their accounts were acquired through Dictaphone and are Dictaphone controlled!!!! TT has picked up an account or 2 on their own, but most work is handed down by Dictaphone.
Of course, there is always TT mgmt's excuse of it being a holiday, doctors on vacation, low census at hospitals due to patient's not getting admitted due to a new year with insurance new deductible, and of course, that always EXCUSE of new accounts coming onboard (and NOT), but we can't tell you about it !!!!!
They are actually trying to get rid of MT's who have tried VR and did not like it, so are continuing to get paid their normal, low line rate by doing straight transcription, like we get a FORTUNE at TT anyway for straight transcription. But mgmt has to find a way to keep their paychecks GOING UP AND UP . . .

Just a little message since you asked. Hardly any regular paid transcription work left for TT MT's (transcribing as in the old days, I am speaking of).

I used to work for them though not on the radiology account. I knew two girls that did work on the radiology account and they hated it, but she had no one else to work. So they had to work horrible hours and the CEO was constantly pestering them to work more (they both have since left). Their line counting program counts short too. I had to work 12 hour days when i did work there just to make any money. They play favorites with the MTs, the office staff treats you like crap when you do need something, you will never make more than what you are hired in at and the list goes on.

This is probably one of the worst MT companies out there. I made the huge mistake of working for them just over a year ago and ended up quitting after only a month. You won't be dealing with anyone except people in India. You can't understand a word they say and they constantly will harass you through Yahoo IM asking when you are going to work and why you are not working, but when you needed to IM them for tech support, they would take forever to answer, if they even answered at all. My experience was that they are very, very rude to their MTs and all of their QA and account managers are in India. I was scoring at least 98% on all of my QAs, but they kept telling me that I needed to improve. There are much, much better companies to chose from. I would stay far, far away from this one. I ran and never looked back.

Late payer...and will lie and say she sent the money and didn't. You can tell by the postmark when you finally do get your check. Also, there is a line count discrepancy.

Worked for them for 2 weeks in March--haven't yet and will never see a penny of the $150+ they still owe me. I gave up asking. Don't believe their ad that they offer MTs a great whatever--blah, blah. A word comes to mind: ruthless. Just my input.

There is a difference between OSi or MQ, or some other MTSO willingly offshoring and a hospital/client moving offshore for financial reasons. Not all these moves are controlled by any company or management, they are controlled by the clients. Some hospitals will request offshore for financial reasons, others forbid it. To say that OSI offshores big time makes it look like they did it. . . this is inaccurate..

Hear ya! I thought it was just me. Type 120 wpm use all my expanders, burn my brain, and can get nowhere near $25 an hour. I would imagine anybody who is getting $25 is possibly blessed with an account from heaven? Not so here. Have a nice weekend!

I had the extreme displeasure of working for this company a few years ago when they bought out Cymed back in the summer of 2006. They offshore all of their work, treat their MTs like second-class citizens, and I was almost always running out of work. My pay checks were always getting screwed up and I could never get in touch with anyone in the office and, when I finally did, they were usually very rude and ignorant. Like I said, I haven't been there in almost 3 years, but I have heard that they are even worse now. I have been with the same company since I left SPi and I am a million times happier!

This company is horrible. I worked for Cymed until they were sold to SPi. I left there in February 2007 and never looked back. Management was constantly changing and my paychecks were screwed up often. This is the LAST place you want to work, trust me!

.09 for straight/.04 for VR but 80% is VR and 20% is straight typing.

Synernet is a horrid company. Pay is low.. 7 cpl for NO spaces on 55 line... they claim it equals standard pay. . NOT NOT NOT
Julie is a horrid trainer.. puts you on hold all the time, gets mad if you call her with a question. Does not teach you all the applications to the platform then gets pissy if you have not figured it out on your own along with everything else.
Lines are not abundantly produced, hard to get 150 lines an hour, let alone industry standard of 200 lines an hour.

I am going to test with them. Does anyone have any feedback about Fast Chart? Can one advance up the pay levels quickly, or are you stuck at the horrendously low starting rates? The information they have sent is pretty confusing.

that's one of the mistakes a VR program can make very easily (although it was my too fast hands that made it)!

with the greedy MTSO's, the needless QA nitpicking, the voice recognition, the work that is left being shipped overseas to be done by people who will work for peanuts.
I see the writing on the wall and will put all my eggs in one basket no longer. Back to college for me!
I don't want to be standing in the umemployment line holding a Burger King application when the bottom finally does completely fall out of this soon to be nonexistent profession.
If anyone refuses to accept the fact that this is the end of this job and it's time to start planning accordingly, that's up to them and I wish them the very best of luck.

Can anyone tell me how long it takes, on the average, to start making 9cpl with Fast Chart? I just received their pay scale chart and it seems like one has to do an anwful lot of typing just to get up to 9 cpl. Is their platform user-friendly? Thanks for any info you can give me.

They start you off at 6 cpl at Level 1 and move you up a level according to your cumulative lines from Day 1 and accurately typing all reports. From the best I can tell their top pay is 9 cpl on all shifts, which is Level 8.

Your post on Unlimited LD was way at the bottom so I figured I would post a new thread ...
I am unsure on who else there is that has Unlimited LD services that are indeed unlimited. With AT&T and MCI, they have a hidden clause that states it is NOT unlimited and that you have to get a biz line, yada yada yada, which costs hundreds of dollars.
So my suggestion is if you dont feel comfortable with going through Vonage, then maybe check with your cable/dsl companies that offer VOIP ( voice over IP) that gives you LD services .... OH wait, Go to best buy, they have VOIP adapters through diff companies! I totally forgot about that

I started 2 weeks ago with Fast Chart and have given my 2-weeks notice. My computer does not like the software and have had problems since starting with different problems daily getting logged on and with the software not saving autotext. Sometimes have ran out of work in the past 2 weeks. Made a whopping 240 bucks the last pay period so I said see ya. Starting a new job tomorrow which is better pay. I'd think twice about this company.

I worked there 2-1/2 weeks and got paid squat, which is why I quit and work for another company now which I love so far. Worked on 4 accounts and couldn't make a thing.

I have almost 15 years experience and they only paid me 0.85 a line. Out of the 3 months I was there their pay was late over 4 times in a row - at Christmas to beat it all! And the supervisors bothered you every 5 minutes chit-chatting on IM bringing production down. Plus they were the most offensive people I have ever worked for. They had an EXCELLENT hospital account that I was on but lost it due to their unprofessionalism and I am talking it was a MAJOR account - a great account! They did pay for all of the overdraft fees for the VERY LATE direct deposits. But to avoid future headaches, run fast away from them!

In my experience, I worked there about 3 weeks. For one thing, pay was horrible. Secondly, I hated the platform, something was always going wrong with it, so ended up bringing home about 250 bucks per pay period. Needless to say, I have moved to greener pastures.

I worked for Fast Chart many years ago. I started out at 5 cpl, went up to 7.5 in a short while. Yes, very low pay, especially when I used to much more pay. I had to take the first job that came along until something better came along. Yes, the pay was low. I worked 12 hours per day to bring home about $750 twice monthly. I feel that I won in the end because I walked away with more specialties under my belt, more knowledge, more experience, and took all of this with me when I bailed out. I just did what I had to do...
