Never lived there, but visited there a lot - had a friend who lives in that area. You are right about the standoffishness of the people. Not friendly at all.
Also, to the OP - it's coooooooooollllllllldddddddd up there! The ground is usually covered by snow in October and you won't see grass again until April or May.

I was offered a job there but at the time I wanted to work from home and they only wanted in house. The Mayo system itself is very impressive. I can't tell you how much I hated Rochester though. Hard to find affordable housing for one thing and the most UNFRIENDLY people I have ever seen. From the clerks in the mall to the other people in our apartment and neighborhood, just plain rude and snooty. I have never been so glad to move in my life. Think twice before moving there!!
Does anyone have any thoughts on the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN? Would you relocate to work .....
there? Would you like to work there? Would having worked for a place like this look good on a resume? Just want some opinions here. Thanks everybody!!
