Rigid standards of professionalism? lol please sm

Because I want you to not leave sissyluvspuppies@whoknows.com as your address, that makes it rigid?

Because I want you to save your darn resume with YOUR NAME ON IT, that makes it rigid? lol

Even funnier, that I want to be able to read through your resume/email without losing my eyesight because of your hideous stationary that is cartoons -- that makes it rigid?

I've a sneaking suspicion you are one who will take this free information and run with it should you ever be knocked off your high horse, lol.

If you don't have a resume, you're application won't be accepted at our company.

Go ahead. Don't apply. You're not breaking my heart, honey! lol

20 for PT and 40 for FT. But they are RIGID in scheduling. sm
I turned down the position because of this.
What a sad attitude about professionalism.
I hope you mean a laidback lifestyle. You should ALWAYS be professional with your work, regardless if you are working from home in your PJs or working in an office in a business suit.

Professionalism is what is expected. It is how you will get rewarded.

AAMT sets the standards, whether you like them or not.

Sounds like you generally have a poor attitude toward anything that takes effort or education.

Respect and professionalism
I agree. We deserve more respect, our paychecks on time and being treated like humans and not machines. I can do without the gifts, but more money like someone else suggested sure would be nice. The first post was truly from the heart. Thank you for sharing!
You had an argument about her professionalism?

your bounds by discussing something like that with her?  I mean, after all, it's her company.  Is it really your place to talk to her about her professionalism when you work for her?

And when you say she fired you - did she say you're fired?  Seems fishy to me that she'd email in an hour about work if she really did fire you.  And she doesn't have to fire you, she can just say she no longer needs your services.

Industry standards
are a 3:1 ratio

4:1 ratio is slow and I'm not trying to diss you, just giving you facts.

Industry standard also uses 1 minute of dictation = 10 lines of transcription, which I've found is more like 8 most often, but that doesn't change the industry standards.

Those links don't give you the specifics you asked for here, but those links will show you where the REAL ADVOCACY for MT is --- IOW you'll notice that ADHI/AAMT is NOT cited

Thank you. I appreciate the professionalism you displayed in your post.

Look it up in the dictionary, the word professionalism.
I don't pay any attention to people who might use the word fraud. I am a professional.

I post to encourage others to know that they do not have to just do MT that you can move up.

You think I am a fraud, think it. That does not intimidate me at all.
also dock your pay for not meeting QA standards..nm

Was going to work for them, but was NOT impressed with their lack of professionalism!!

definition of decent: Acceptable standards
making $50,000 a year as an MT is beyond decent, it is really great, but realistically a decent living would be less, which is what the poster asked, as the definition of decent is to have acceptable standards.
Speech recognition, research, and professionalism
There are 2 different types of speech recognition, so maybe you need to do your research. Your answer certainly did not really explain much.

Being a true professional is certainly not being displayed by you shouting (using capital letters), so maybe you need to learn more about all these things.
Agree - woth 4 cents each by my standards.. NM

She was talking abt not meeting standards in a short time - sm
like a week. Doesn't sound like she was good enough to keep around for longer.
Well, sign me up.. I want a job where I make half until I am up to the Wicked Witch's standards
Geez.. what are they trying to say, you'll get a raise when what freezes over. They have got to be kidding and boy for all that money you wont be earning you'll need to go out and buy some equipment for almost $200, which will probably take you a few months to pay off at the rate they want to pay. What a joke.. Give me a break. Thanks for sharing that great job opportunity haha
"becausse" is high standards? nice. typical of the caliber of MTs they have.
