No idea of pay, but from their website, they seem to be Phillipine owned, like SPI/Cymed?? And

If you'll read through past posts you'll find lots of
recent info. Why do you need menitoring if you already work as an MT. Unless you do clinic work most companies will require you to work at least one weekend day, at least initially.
If you'll read the archives you'll find out everything
you want to know, none of it good.
If you'll read more carefully you'll see
I was referring to AFTER she's missed out on a job, having a friend do sort of an audit to tell her what what was wrong with her test she submitted -- not cheating.
I'll try to look and see if they put in on their website
But as an IC for them, I can tell you that we received a memo dated 1/13/06 outlining the exact details of how many jobs per day would be offshored and indicating that Transcend cannot ignore this dynamic in the market. I cannot post the contents of the memo, or I would. It's up to you, it's a small amount they're offshoring, but to me - the fact that they're looking at it at all, is not good. I'm looking elsewhere and will not work with anyone who does not have a 100% US based workforce.
I'll have to re=check their website
I could have sworn they said US owned/based with locations worldwide.
from now on i'll go straight to the company website. sm
i didn't realize a simple question would stir up some negative comments. i find the comment about the IQ very insulting and unnecessary.
You have to go to the website and log in to read the

MDI-MD..I read on their website that they pay for...sm
spaces and punctuation! This sounds great! Most places don't pay that do they? What is the norm when places say 65-character line...does that include spaces and punctuation?
You can go to the website and read!!
You can go to www.axolotl.com and read how and when they started.
I just read on their website under Employment Center (sm)
that they are hiring. I know they had a job listing posted on here a week or so ago for experienced Docuscribe MT's. I work on Meditech there but would kill to get back on Docuscribe again! I loved it...
Yes, don't even think about it. If you'll read the
archives there should be plenty of information why you should look elsewhere.
If you read through the archives you'll see not
much good about this company, especially from people who refused to listen to the issues that others had and went to work for them anyway. They offshore big time, constant turnover. I wouldn't consider it.
If you read the archieves you'll see Spheris
is NOT a good company.
SPI is in Tenn. and already has Phillipine alliances. nm
s
They offshore. Lots of posts about them if you'll read
the archives.
If you read your paperwork, you'll see that is an option they have. Also, the state of Illinois
does not have right to work law, any employer can fire you at any time without cause.
Worst company to work for. Read the archives and you'll
be hard pressed to find anything good about this company.
It's an ASSOCIATION, people. Not a union.
It's not so. There is no union for MTs.
They have broadened their scope, true. They have finally changed their name to fit what they really are focused on -- healthcare documentation.
MTs are a vital part of that process.
However, the AAMT or AIHD or whatever is NOT your union. Stop groaning over these things.

it's not your content, it's theirs. obviously
ya gotta let QA know if there's wrong info but on verbatim accounts, that is what it means.
you're not giving good patient care, the docs are. you keep covering for them like that and you'll always be the one griping like you are about it.

I think there are ups and downs with every job, and there will be some people with bad experiences with axes to grind. I think my coordinator does an excellent job at keeping the work flowing. I've always had plenty of work and now OT. Never a problem with pay, and I believe the pay scale is adequate. They are doing a good job with communication, but it's not overly saturated with emails and IMs. I love having an update 3 or 4 times a day on ther different accounts I type. Besides everyone I have had dealings with has been pleasant and personable. No folks with agendas or bitter people that I have come into contact with, as with other jobs I have had.
AAMT has a new name: Association for Integrity of Healthcare Documentation.
Medical Transcription has been voted out of their title.
Thanks, Medical Content Specialist:)!

Most of the truthful posts were deleted for content
Just paste it and let it go. They're looking for content, not format, when ....sm
...the resume is sent via a web contact form. If you are a good MT with good qualifications, they won't care how it's set up, but do make sure words are spelled correctly. That's a huge bugaboo when I read resumes.
The coroporate office is located in America..American Association for Medical Transcription..not sm
Association for American Medical Transcriptionists. If you don't want your stuff overseas..tell AMA, your congressperson, etc.
How am I wrong? You pick apart the poster's message without looking at content. sm
It would seem it is an appropriate moniker for you to use, because you certainly do not seem to be a human.
You should check out the Nuance website and the Focus website
Nuance is Dictaphone and since a lot of use Dictaphone equipment, you can say we all have something to do with this. If you are surprised at the website above, look at the US website of nuance. Just IMHO and try to get both sides of the corporation.
Probably figure you'll want Way more than they'll offer, whatever it might be. :) nm

It's not at the IRS website. It is in my state website.
It is clearly written that any employer out of state is bound by the laws of my state as far as taxes. Look at your state website.
I read all read all the threads in the "companies" section
of another board, MT Chat, and Googled each one that got positive reviews. If they had a website and a way to apply online, I did so. And that was how I got hired at TRS. They were not advertising at the time. By sheer coincidence I applied to Transcend just before I applied to TRS, and they were not interested in what I had to offer at the time. And now they've got me anyway, since they bought TRS. Interesting how things work out sometimes.
Companies with negative reviews, or company queries that got only a terse I sent you a PM reply, I passed over.
I read your post. What do you want me to re-read?
and it seems those are your posts, too, so things just didn't add up and seemed inconsistent. If a place dropped me down to p.r.n. at 7 cpl or whatever and I already had another job where I could get 1000-1500 lines, I wouldn't give the first place a second thought so just couldn't figure out why anyone else would.
Their website does not say that (nm)

Do they have a web site. I am having trouble finding one; thanks
don't know if this will help but here is a website with a ton of
transcription services on there and what each one offers and what they are looking for.

Do they have a website I can look at. nm

I just went to their website....sm

Does HIP have a website? Are they hiring?
I went to their website
but did not see where they don't pay for headers, footers, etc. Did you speak with them or where did you get this info?
Website for them?
The website I found didn't have any MT infor or a way to apply. Does anyone have this information they could pass on? THANKS!

Do they have a website or an ad somewhere?
I have decided I have had enough with the company-who-will-not-be-named. I admit I can't take it anymore, though I thought I would retire with them! I would love to work for a nice NJ company - Jerser girl that I am. I am looking for a nice company with work, so they sound like a match. Can anyone share how to get in contact with them? I'll be googling in the meantime, but would appreciate any other contact info!
Do they have a website? TIA

Good luck. I know how hard it can be to find a good company. I, again, absolutely LOVE DSG and all the supervisors! They also give positive feedback, which is another hard thing to find in a supervisor/company.
what website?
Could you give me the name..I searched but found nothing.
Website
Do they have a Web Site? I searched for them on the intenet and came up with nothing.
Website
Do you have their website address or where to contact them? Do you work for them as an employee or an IC? TIA
Website - Thank You
I had the feeling that it couldn't be posted. Thank you for the information. I googled, and couldn't find a thing on them at all.
