Diskriter insurance. Wow!
I do not work for Diskriter, but I think I probably will soon.  I just wanted to post here that everyone is always complaining about ridiculous rates we have to pay for insurance and the crappy coverage (A very ligitimate beef in my opinion) and wondering who has reasonable rates with good coverage.  Their insurance rates are phenomenal and their coverage is out of this world as far as copays and coinsurance are concerned.  I currently work directly for a hospital (Should have the best coverage right ? - WRONG!) My premiums will be less and coinsurance WAY less than what I pay now.
Diskriter insurance
Diskriter has great insurance with BCBS. I pay about $350 per month for family policy with $500 deductible and 100% coverage. There is, however, a $75 copay for office visits. This may be pricy for some, but the coverage is great. They do offer less expensive polcies with less coverage too.
Diskriter or TransTech for insurance...sm

I'm curious about the insurance rates for a family of 4 for these 2 companies and if you can you make a decent wage to help pay for these insurance premiums?  I worked at one place that had pretty good insurance but had a tough time making enough money to pay for it (and still pay my bills, etc).  Any info would be great -- thanks!

How long does it take for Diskriter insurance to take
I'm talking about health insurance for Diskriter employees, not their hospital accounts.

Diskriter--Anyone know if they have decent insurance rates for their employees??
Any help is appreciated.
Fairly flexible but they do like a schedule. Insurance is good. Benefits are good in my opinion.

For the past week, work has been a little slower but I think that is common in every company..some days busy and other not.

Spheris supes/QA are good, insurance not good; they offshore

Diskriter. NEW information on pay, work, QA, good, bad? NM
,
Is Diskriter a good company to work for?

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Insurance not good
I work for Spheris and I have had their insurance for the past 2 years. In that time i have never been to the doctor. However, I have a history of breast cancer and was told I would not be covered as far as getting mammograms. Also the deductible is 3000. So, I will just have to go without insurance.
Looking for the good, bad, and ugly for the editing side of Diskriter

I checked archives, but all i found was old and I know companies change often, and it was all the transcription side of things, so thought I would see if anyone had info on how it is to be an editor.  I have the info they pay hourly...how much per hour?

Thanks!!!

Pay and health insurance good.
Some of the QA who work for Precyse are the finest people this side of heaven.  I couldn't keep up with my lines and what I had typed, so I moved on.  Overall, a good company and they handle a lot of Baptist accounts with people you can understand.
How much is the insurance, is it good, affordable?
I really need insurance and don't want to apply if it is not affordable.
They pay half and it is really, really good insurance. nm

Does anyone know of any GOOD, reasonably priced, health insurance?- sm
I would love to find a good health insurance company that I can purchase independently.  I LOVE the company I work for but unfortunately they do not offer health benefits.  I greatly want to stay with them, but in need of some serious health insurance.  Does anyone know of a plan that I could look into that is reasonably priced?  Any ideas or suggestions would greatly be appreciated since one trip to the ER could make a huge bill....Thanks!
Can you tell me if this is for good insurance, deductible, copay etc..??
I had a good rate before when I had insurance but the deductible was $5000 and no copay so it wasnt worth it.
It is $400 a month, but they pay half. It is good insurance, too. sm
I recently had surgery and my only costs were my deductible. The hospital split that $1000 into 10 months for me, so it was not so bad, and now the rest of the year, I am past my deductible. It is a LOT better than the insurance I had with Spheris.
Anyone know of a GOOD company with affordable health insurance?

Hi.  I am a 14+ year MT.  I love the company I am with but they offer NO benefits whatsoever.  Does anyone know of a company that is looking for a dependable MT that offers reasonably priced health insurance and would give at least 9-1/2 cents a line (which is what I am getting now). Any help would be greatly appreciated.  THANK YOU!

The current insurance is not bad. The coverage is decent, and they pay which is good. sm
I actually hope that they don't change, but I know that it is a big hassle for the office because they are in the middle. Too big to be individual coverage rates and too small for the best rates. I talked with the HR manager, and she told me that the rates they were given for one company tripled once all the worksheets were in. They based the price on the worst case scenario or worst health. Now they can get a flat rate but only if half of the FT employees sign up. I could here the frustration in her voice when I was talking to her. Insurance companies do not always play fair.
Keystrokes has new insurance (finally) that is reasonable and good coverage. sm
The cost for a single person is $404 per month but they pay 1/2, so it is $202 or $101 per pay check (1st and 15th). I received my papers and card and rx card last week and the coverage is better than the BCBS that I had with others. $20 per visit co-pay, instead of $50.
Seeking company that offers good benefits including insurance.
Ideally, I'd like to find a company that offers medical insurance at a reasonable cost for family (under $500 a month) and a decent line count rate. Anyone have any ideas on this. Thanks.
Transolutions? Anyone know how good their medical insurance benefits are, costs, etc..specifically
family coverage. They say you only have to work 32 hours to be eligible so I'm curious what their benefits are like. Thanks
Focus Infomatics--Anyone have any experience with their insurance benefits, good rate, etc..
Yes, I know all there is to know about them in the negative form but people respond only if you know about their insurance plan. Thanks
401k funds are protected by govt insurance similar to the insurance
that banks have (FDIC). It is safe even if the company goes under.
The insurance cost is double for Transcend but insurance probably doesn't factor in for her.
I have heard more good things about Axolotl than Transcend, although it seems Axolotl may be less flexible with your schedule and someone told me that QA was pretty strict, which should not matter either if you have worked for a hospital and know what your QA score is.
The insurance plan in my opinion is excellent insurance. I am not sure if it will change when it'
time to renew or not. I really hope not but I know that a lot of companies change every year in an effort to keep costs down because most insurance companies start raising rates after you have been with them a year. The insurance is Great West and they also have excellent dental and vision plans. I believe the cost is less than $70 a pay period for the employee.
Insurance sucks compared to my old insurance... sm
The insurance seems like they don't want to cover anything, even simple prescriptions I used to pay 4 or 10 dollars on I now pay 20 to 43 dollars.  I like the company/people so far, just don't like the insurance.
Insurance Questions: Can you tell me what you pay for insurance through your

MTSO, which MTSO it is and whether the coverage is decent?  I currently pay $92.00 a pay period for decent coverage but am trying to figure out if I am getting a good deal or if I could do better elsewhere.

TIA.

The best co. ever! Good work, good people, good pay, good bennies.

Yes there is! Good pay and good bonuses and good benefits.

Run do not walk!  Are they still offering 8 cpl? Even for their difficult accounts, with tons of ESL you cannot understand.  Hard to make line count because if you're good they move you around all over the place.  QA not bad, pretty nice ladies in that department.  But I did hear recently that the one with the initials RP left and that was a blessing.  And their incentive sucks.  Benefits were always costly, but they did have a reasonable PTO.  Equipment was crap.  And the IT guys have nothing better to do than spy on you if you use their computer to look up something on the internet, and ream you!  It's like "Big Brother is watching!"  And the CEO monitors the line counts, and if you do not get your line count and you have their insurance he will terminate you.  They do not listen as to why MTs cannot get their line count either, Oh Gee do you think that having to look up patients on patient sheets might slow someone down? Especially when you have to look it up by number and not by patient name, and nothing is in order???? Diskriter may be a fit for people who only need a 2nd income, but if you need more then "pin"money, I'd look elsewhere for employment.

Diskriter
anyone know anything about Diskriter?
diskriter
Thank you very much. I really appreciate it.
Diskriter
This is very encouraging news! I do like the recruiter that I spoke with too. She answered all my questions and that makes me feel that if she can answer my questions, hopefully the rest of the company, especially management, is good too.
Diskriter

You should ask the recruiter how many accounts are overflow, and how many accounts are re-records, and how many have census sheets you have to look up the pt name, and account number, or there's one account where you have to look up the pt under the pt number.  So if those options are a fit for you then perhaps you might be happy there, frankly I prefer my demos to populate the screen so I do not have to take the time to look up the pt in an email, because they send you computers where you cannnot have a printer and you have to constantly flip back and forth from one page to the next looking for patients, and are they still paying 8 cpl with that incentive that 9 cpl?  If I were you I would apply to Transcend, there's a lot of happy people here regardless of what you read.  They pay holiday pay 3 cpl more on holidays, Diskriter does not, they pay you a cumulative incentive, Diskriter does not, and the platform is great to work in.  And the line count is right on.  But to each it's own, frankly I would not roll out of bed for anything less than 9 cpl!  Oh, and if you can wait a month to be paid, did the recruiter happen to mention that?Depending on what shift you work, especially it if it 2nd and weekends, it's like a ghost town on holidays!  Depending on when you start it could be six weeks before you see your first paycheck.  I understand there are a couple of leads that are the leads from hell!  The downside of Transcend is the 120 day wait for benefits, and the year to start building up vacation, but I would rather take the xtras $$$!  For me they were not a fit, but they can be for others, good luck to you!

Diskriter
Get off them. I work for them and I am leaving for reasons other than business. They want simply the best, that is why they hired me. Go back to bashing MQ and get off Diskriter, a very innovative company. And hell no, I am not a recruiter, they prefer quality over quantity so get good at it or get out.
diskriter
dont waste your time. Apply at Amphion or some other reputable company that does not send the bulk of their work and their biggest accounts overseas to be done and leaves the recorded, the small accounts, the bad quality and the work that you make the least money on for the people in the US! Go to somewhere where you have a chance to make a decent living and get some decent work.
DISKRITER!!

The platform is easy to learn, paid training with decent line count for 65 char/line , and I have the best supervisor I've ever had who actually LISTENS and helps me out!  Try them out!

Try Diskriter as

I left an in-house job to work full time at home. I am an employee of the hospital, but Diskriter manages work flow, etc.   Benefits are SO much better than the MTSOs with low-cost health insurance, vision, dental, life, retirement, etc.   The benefits will vary depending on which hospital you are employed at, but generally I would think they would be still much better  and less expensive than a national.   Also, you work on only your hospital, so you just have one account.

I know Diskriter had an add on MTjobs about a week or 10 days ago.  They were hiring 15 MTs for a Florida Hospital.  Hope this helps.

Diskriter
I love Diskriter too.  You won't see many posts, they might over-hire and bust up our good thing.  They have been very, very good to me.
Diskriter
Unless your back is in need of having holes punched in it, I suggest staying very far away.
Diskriter is so sad...

Okay, lets think about just that.  If they have competent IT support, this should not be an issue.  Do they not have virus programs to protect themselves?  Do those of you working for this company not get that other services do not put this restriction on you and let you do your job without the hassle and they have no HIPAA issues?  It is their equipment, no doubt, but they lack ability to maintain equipment adequately and are always fearful of the MTs interacting.

This company is located not too far from my home and I have worked for them, both in the office and at home.  They had great potential, but it is so sad how they lack the funds, knowledge and understanding of what makes a transcription service efficient, proficient, and money making.

Diskriter
I currently work at diskriter, haven't been there long, but they have a lot of work and have been a good place to work so far. They also pay you for any time down time so I would imagine you wouldn't run out too often.
Diskriter
I left Diskriter because you could never hear anything. I was on an account that was rerecorded. The sound was awful. At that time they did not pay for down time. However, I did read somewhere, maybe here, that they got in trouble with the labor board awhile ago for something. Not sure what.

Don't know much about Webmedx, sorry.
Diskriter
Bad experience with them years ago, but I doubt that their corporate mentality has changed, nor the core group of people.  I would avoid them.
