In Reply to: Radioogy Question: What is a good rate of pay on a per report - LAMT
I live on the East Coast and have been getting paid anywhere from $1.50 to $2.00 per report and $2.00-2.50 per page all depending on what type of reports I am transcribing.

Radiology pay question..What's a good rate per report for
Radiology reports?? $1.20?? Am considering job offer.
I have found that by report for Radiology
always gives you more money. I was getting 11 cpl. I asked to go by report and am getting $1.10 per report and make almost $50 more a week by report.
I will only work by the report for radiology and only if sm
I am paid for links and extra for specials. I type 120-200 reports a day for Keystrokes and make more money by far than when I worked for another service and when I worked for a hospital. But make sure that you are paid for links and make sure that the person who hires you and/or trains you is familiar with the account and can tell you what the average report count is. Go with a service, such as Keystrokes, that is known for radiology. There are a few out there but make sure that they have enough radiology accounts to keep you busy. There are slow periods just like with any speciality and a good service knows when they are and how to schedule for them. Do your homework. Not sure if KS is hiring but they have the most rad accounts based on what I researched two years ago prior to going with them. Good luck!
Radiology pays per report...
nm
Radiology by the line for one account and by the report sm
for another. I make more by the report though.
radiology line versus report
I think the answer is to ask your recruiter at the start about the account you will be on and hope she will be truthful. I was outsourced from a hosp. not long ago, offered a job with the company hospital was going with so already knew the docs and reports. These were very wordy docs and the new company was going to pay us by report. Didn't not take the job because I knew ahead of time the reports were much too long to be paid by report.
Would have taken the job if
only they had paid by line.
Asked up front next time about account and was told
reports were mostly short
and normal. I was lucky
enough to find truthful recruiter. Hope this helps.
Radiology pays per report or lines depending on
account. Per report is less than other companies out there, but line pay was about average.
Radiology job on MTJobs paying 75 cents per report...
Will we be reduced to pennies? There is no way you can make a living at 75 cents per report.
what is the going rate per report pay for rad? thanks in adv.
rad-report rate
I know Keystrokes pays per report and is Meditech. I worked for them a short time but they did not have enough work for me. Also, MVTS pays per report but I worked on IDX for them.
Hmm..If this is the radiology account, I thought they were paying on a per-report basis..sm
I worked for them for a little over a week and we were being paid per report. Must be a different account they were recenting hiring for or either they changed the pay structure.
At any rate, my experience was less than grand as well.
Radioogy Question: What is a good rate of pay on a per report
basis for transcribing radiology? TIA
Futurenet AQ not paid by report any more? Going to line rate.
sucks
What line rate does Spheris pay for radiology MTs?
TIA
Keystrokes has the best radiology accounts IMO. I have plenty of work and radiology only. nm
I make a good living and rarely run out of work. When I do, it is for a few minutes at a time and usually because the rads have not started early enough. No other complaints!
Keystrokes for radiology. They are the biggest for radiology out of all of the companies out there.
I have been there 2 years and have been very happy. I make a lot more money than when I worked for Edix/Spheris.
Keystrokes has a radiology division. They used to be radiology only but their sm
customers started referring other departments to them.
I know that they just got a bunch of new accounts!
For radiology, Keystrokes is the way to go. They seem to have the most radiology accounts. sm
I have been very, very busy since starting with them 19 months ago. No complaints at all other than one or two of the radiologists who speak at the speed of light and expect us to be able to transcribe what sounds to be a mouse on a treadmill!
for MQ STAT employees tier rate applies to ME rate as well and how calcluated?
for a STAT MQ employee: Does anyone know if the tier rate is going to be applied to the ME rate as well or are they going to go with the 80% of the MT rate for each tier level? If the tier rate doesn't apply as well to the ME rate then going by the 80% of the MT rate is less than if the tier rate would be applied. I'm sure that MQ is going to go by whatever keeps money in their pockets. Guess this is a question for the supervisor tomorrow.
Their line rate was less than my current nat'l rate, even with mucho experience. nm

VR rate is 1/2 rate of traditional typing,I believe it is 4 cents line.
I took that to mean you can get to that rate after 1600 lines and that is not the starting rate.
:
Webmedx ASR rate is 70% of your regular line rate. sm
So if you are on a 9 cpl account, you get 6.3 CPL plus any bonus / incentives / shift differential.
From the current editing rate not typing rate
.
If radiology is going to VR, why are there so many job openings for radiology MTs? nm
nm
Ascend Radiology & MDI Radiology?
Is anyone currently working on or know anything about Ascend radiology or MDI radiology accounts? What platforms do they use? Do they have a lot of ESLs or crappy dictators? Thanks in advance
is the VR line rate 60% of the regular typing line rate?

Rad report pay - sm
Wish I knew where you got $1.35 as a norm. The most I've ever been offered was $1.25 and that was for Meditech radiology, the pits. Care to share where you got this norm? TIA
KS rad report pay - sm
Recent interview I had stated $1.10 report, and $2.25 report for specials (interventional exams), but the rest of the pay scale didn't turn me on. They don't pay for each exam under the specials, ( no linking for angio/TPA/cath insertion, etc), figuring the $2.25 would cover it, but no way does that make up for the length of some of those exams. Wasn't my cup of tea.
Pay per report. sm
I worked there for a while. Got $1.25 per report but the reports were very long and the platform horrible. Wasn't worth it.
per report
I agree with the person who said if its plain films that are typed then go with per report price.
pay per report
MedQuist pays per report for Radiology and uses Meditech.
Thanks - doing rad and by report
so not sure how that will work. Thanks!
WOW $3.50 report?
I want to work where YOU work! That's the most I've heard.
Also, per report - sm
Per report pay is only as good as the platform, and only IF you get paid for links, like CT ABD/PELVIS being dictated as one report, but you get paid for two reports, etc. Platform and company policy has a lot to do with profitability being paid by report. Lots of things to consider.....
Their MTs need to report them to the IRS - nm
Pay per report
Can anyone tell me what the pay per report might be? They say each page is 42 lines and each report is approx 2 pages. Does anyone know the going rate per report? Or is there such a thing?
why would you take 1 h for a 4-5-min report...
even if it is difficult? Why not just send it to QA, get a 2nd set of ears, or something? That's just too long.
Does anyone actually report this
I also totally agree. I see this on here a lot but I am wondering if anyone has reported any of these companies. I know I did with one. Has anyone else done so?
Nothing will change if people don't take any action.
.75 per report
Yes and I asked what type of reports you would be typing? she said it included MRIs, CTs, interventional radiology. I do wish she was joking, what MT with 5 years of experience would transcribe radiology for .75/report?
Do all of the above and then report them to the IRS...
nm
MDI-MD Anything new to report
Mixed reviews in the archives. Going from employee to IC and wondered if I should try. Thanks in advance for your feedback. Nothing that recent, so before I sent info to them, I thought I'd see how it is these days.
Thanks!
I just did a report--sm
with spaces 913/65=14.046 x .9=1.264
w/o spaces 765/55=13.745 x.9=1.237
That would be a .2 per report difference. If you did 100 reports per day it would be a $20 difference and a $200 difference in a 10 day pay period.
I do not think it evens out.
Alt H Anyone know how to go to end of report? sm
I'm wondering if there are Keystrokes to go to the end of the report on the Bayscribe player? Thanks!
If you report them to the IRS
do you have to give your name. If you do, aren't you just screwing yourself out of a job?
Maybe if we report them...
There are some serious personality issues at TTS. Even though one of the owners no longer has continuous contact with the MTs, the people who do are simply clones of her with the same micromanaging, domineering, threatening behavior.
I found this on how the company could be punished for treating ICs as employees:
If it finds a company guilty of misclassifying its workers, the IRS might require the company to pay all back withholding taxes plus interest, even if the misclassified independent contractors have already paid their taxes. The IRS might also levy huge fines and press criminal charges against the company officials. Once the IRS moves in, it opens the doors for the other agencies to collect their due. If there's anything left, the misclassified independent contractors might collect, too. Misclassified independent contractors have successfully sued for unemployment insurance, stock options, overtime pay, retirement benefits, profit sharing, disability payments, workers' compensation and more, in so-called permatemps and related lawsuits.
Pay per report
I have worked in Rad doing pay per report. I would not work for less than 1.25-1.50 per report. Some companies (hospitals) will pay as high as 2.00 per report.I don't know any Rad. MT who would work for 75 cents per report.
Thanks,
Ellen
Pay by report?
Are there many places left that pay this way?
How many lines are on a report? nm
Line on each report..
I was not given that info. I guess that would vary though, wouldn't it? These are acute care reports. Thanks anyway.
I'm paid by report...
make about $25/hr., and I think a year of radiology experience is plenty if you are really good. So go 4 it!
