What good companies provide computer, etc. without charge for that equipment?
Do you know of any companies that provide computer, with or without cost to the MT?
Does Transcend provide computer equipment
for employees?
Are there any companies out there that provide equipment
for their transcriptionists? I am finally able to get high speed internet services in my area and am anxious to get started working at home.
Thank you for any information.
Companies that provide Equipment?
I am wondering if there are still any companies that provide equipment. I have almost 20 years of experience, have a pentium processor and Windows XP, but I do not have a foot pedal... Does anyone know off hand?
Which companies provide equipment?
Just wondering which companies provide equipment, i.e., computer. Thanks in advance.
What companies provide equipment?
Which companies provide the computer?
Do any companies still provide all the computer hardware and software programs?
Companies that provide a computer
Good Day,
Hope some of you are willing to help me out. I am running out of Unemployment Benefits and need to start applying for jobs again. Tried a few months back, but gave up after not receiving any decent, living-wage offers. Now my computer is on its last leg, throwing another obstacle into my job-search efforts.
Would anyone working for a company that still provides a computer to full-time employee MTs please provide the company name and, if you know, what they charge for computer rental?
I did research this in the archives, but there was no current information, and I had previously read a few times that more and more companies are stopping that practice and requiring MTs to provide their own computers. In my case, that is the old the chicken or the egg problem. My personal computer is old and does not meet some company's hardware requirements. I cannot get a decent job without a new computer, but I cannot pay for a new computer unless I have a decent job.
If anyone would care to share any good job openings, that would also be great. LOL
Any help is sincerely appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
Equipment for part-time
Amphion does.
part time work plus computer
I'm looking for a part time (15 to 20 hours/week) transcription position. I would like a company that supplies the computer. I am a CMT with 7-years' experience with acute care basic four plus multispecialty transcription. Any suggestions?
don't they provide equipment...sm
even if you are an SE. I know I worked as an SE for them before, and used their equipment. So, why were you providing your own?
Do they provide equipment?
Also, do they have IC positions?
Is it possible to type clinic work only?
MQ does provide equipment

These used to provide equipment
Medquist (NJ), OSi (GA), Transcend (GA), Amphion (WI), Transtech (TX).
Any companies looking for part time QA
I'm interested in working a part time IC position (day shift) that pays a decent hourly rate. If you know of someone looking for people, please let me know.
As far as I know, the only equipment they provide is a footpedal....sm
and the software, so you'd have to provide the rest of the equipment (computer, references books, etc.) Their website is www.gimtnet.com
Go to Webmedx. They provide equipment.
I love my job there.
I work for 3 companies part time and....
don't have any work either. I made $50 in two weeks for one company, $40 for the other and $300 for the third. What a joke!! I do have to make a living to pay our house payment. I have been at this for almost 20 years....so SAD!!
Are there any companies that offer part-time
employee status? I am looking to work certain days of the week, but I'd like part-time employee status? Is there anyone that is currently in that type of situation that could steer me in the right direction? I have a lot experience and am very reliable. Thanks in advance for any help in this regard. I appreciate my fellow MTs and their opinions count in my book.
Any companies hiring part-time?
I need flexibility. Willing to do a certain number of lines every pay period. I started with MedScribe of NJ and already they run out of work and seem to be dodging my emails about a secondary account. Afraid I made a bad choice.....
What kind of equipment, if any, does Deventure provide? sm
I went on their website and it didn't really have any information like that. I applied for one their positions on the Job Seekers Board, but I thought maybe I need to find out as much as I could before I talk with them, that is if they want to talk to me! Thanks.
webmedx and spheris provide equipment
d
Focus DOES NOT provide equipment, only headaches
Are there any companies besides Amphion that hire part-time
I need a company that allows you to make your lines without demanding that you be on from this second to that second. If it's part-time it's obviously because you have other things to do and your life doesn't revolve around a set schedule. If I can get my work done at 3AM so why would that bother anybody?
Is there a company that doesn't mind when you work as long as you meet your quota and are accurate?
Are most part-time jobs with companies a few hours every day or are there
jobs that exist where you can work a few days during the week? If you can help, thank you!
Yeah, and do any companies offer PTO for part time?
TIA
Are there any good companies that hire part time?
I have two years of acute care experience, and I need a part-time job to supplement my current income. If everything works out, I will need to go to full time in March. At this time, I can only work Friday and Saturday nights.
I have been applying to several companies, but they keep giving me the run around. One company even told me I did very well on their test and that I was put in a pool of transcriptionists to be contacted. The recruiter called me once, and I missed her call. I called her back and left a message, but I have not heard anything else from her.
Any advice would be appreciated. TIA!
Don't they provide all equipment, etc., at no charge? All things considered....
I've never worked for them, although after applying and passing their test quite awhile ago, they continually email me. I've never accepted because their constant advertising campaigns remind me of used-car salesmen.
I think they and Diskriter both provide everything though, so that's a perk for anyone with an older system.
Any companies needing part time help on a Lanier account?

Can anyone recommend companies that offer IC status, part time?

Does MDI-MD provide a computer? NM

I am not sure if they provide a computer...
but they do provide the software that you will need. They are an AWESOME company to work for, at least that has been my experience (I am currently employed with them on the dictaphone platform), and they do offer medical/dental/vision, sick pay, vacation pay, holiday pay, and maternity leave. It is based on your line count x the minimum lines they require per week then divided by 40 hours, to come up with your hourly pay...for example, if your line count is 0.6/per line (just a figure I am throwing out to give you an idea), then multiply that by 5000 lines (which is the minimum lines required per week) equals $300/wk divided by 40 hours equals $7.50 per hour. That is what your holiday (+ lines for the day if you work....so double time of sorts), vacation, sick leave, maternity leave, etc. would be based on...hope this makes sense. (Sorry if any typos, it is late, and I am tired but wanted to reply....I hope I have at least helped!)
Yes, they provide computer.... sm
When I got pregnant, this was with a different company and a different insurance plan (not transcription related) 8 years ago, but I did get maternity leave that was paid. I don't think our insurance at Webmedx has maternity leave, but it does have short-term and if you are out of work 14 days that kicks in, so that may apply for maternity leave as you take FMLA, I think. I am not totally sure, though, on our insurance or how short term disability works, but that is what I was told before when I inquired. If out of work 14 days, short-term kicks in at a percentage of your regular pay. You can get more details when you call. :) Good luck to you. Just know that when you search you will find what you want. Hang in there.
They provide computer, but there is no sm
rental fee for it. I think there may be a deposit tho. Not sure about that.
Yes they provide computer - sm
and you have to use theirs. It's a great deal though, you get a brand new Dell computer with flat screen monitor, foot pedal, etc. It's strictly for work, nothing else can be loaded on it and no one else can use it. Helps to make sure you are maintaining a HIPAA environment and they provide full 24/7 tech support - it breaks - they FedEx or UPS a new one ASAP. No rental charge either - I think there may be a deposit now though. It comes already loaded with all the software and VPN client stuff.
MDI-MD does not provide computer.
