Quotas decreased at SPi

You can bet that with the quotas going down that they have made changes in what is counted....i.e. 800 line quota means that you probably are not going to be paid now for spaces, headers/footers, etc. - another way of taking money out of your pocket. You can bet that they will be still charging the client for them. It looks like smoke and mirrors, so I'm outta there.

Agreed. Also, editors often have quotas, too. nm

Does it seem that work has decreased in many areas since
MQ did their not-so-smart illegal billing? This probably should be on the MQ Board but I feel what they did may be affecting a lot of us. Hospitals and other accounts used to have so much work we didn't know what to do with it. Now, it seems more work is being done on site or in-house. I can't help but wonder if the trust is all but gone due to what happened with MQ. I may be wrong, but it sure seems that way.
Question about decreased line counts with DQS.
Has anyone actually compared reports they did in their old Medquist platform to an exact-same report (such as a canned op note) in DQS, to see if there is an actual decrease in the way lines are counted? Or do you think your production is decreased because of having to get used to the new system, building your glossary program back up, and losing your "normals."
No - significantly decreased. Bayscribe stinks! nm

Is it typical for decreased pay for not meeting line requirements? sm
I know every company is different but has anyone had their pay rate decreased for failure to meet line requirements? I have heard of taking away benefits, etc. before but never heard of decreased pay rates for IC because of this nor have I ever heard of the pay rate being different for full time versus part timers within the same company. I have health issues causing my lack of meeting line requirements. It isn't because I just don't want to work. I guess this is just another tactic to take money out of our pockets and into theirs like the pay rate isn't low enough already. Geez by the time I cover my expenses as an IC, I doubt I come out with anything anyway. I might as well just work for free for the government to donate all my money overseas!
Has anyone ever figured out how much difference is needed in pay between IC and employee to cover average expenses related to the job? I know standard is 1 cent usually and that does not cover my expenses.
