I've worked for QED for 3 years and I like the company. Admittedly, I have nothing to compare them to, as this is my first MT job, but they're very nice people, the techs respond quickly to problems, the equipment works well, and my supervisor is great.
Yes, we do have to pick a work schedule and stick to it, but that's no different from most jobs. And they do try very hard to provide us with work whenever we are supposed to be working.
They're very even-handed. When they ask me to work extra on occasion, I do if I possibly can. When I ask for time off, they are very accommodating. I recently saw my mother through a bout with cancer and they bent over backwards to help me schedule my time so I could be with her. I really appreciated that.
For me, it's working very well. I'm not making a lot of money, but enough to support myself. I get faster by the month, and my paycheck goes up accordingly.
By the way, they pay (on time) every week by direct deposit and have various little contests, bonuses, ways to earn extra money, which is nice. Last week, for instance, I received a $35 bonus, a nice surprise.
