I totally agree with you.

They come across as knowing more than you but I have found so many mistakes that they have made on my documents.

When I go to QASAR I feel totally abused sometimes.

Since I am not being paid for the time I use to look at QASAR I am tempted to just not even waste my time.

However, I feel that MQ is still looking at QASAR as part of our performance rating which is totally not agreeable with me.

Anyway, don't take it personally and call them on THEIR errors.

Dump the Nazis.
Too many authoritarian QA tyrants have decided on their own that language is a science. It is not. Some may be on power trips while others may use meaningless punctuation corrections to justify their existence.

Obviously there are a few hard and fast rules for punctuation such as a period at the end of a sentence and a comma separating items in a list but it doesn't go much farther than that.

In general a comma represents a PAUSE in the narrative. I've seen way too many complete thoughts interrupted by pauses that only serve to slow down the reading of the text for no reason other than some QA Nazi has decided that a comma must always precede the word but or although or some other such nonsense.

My rule: Punctuate if necessary but otherwise don't waste the reader's time with excessive pauses or other trivia.

perfect world would be one without Jews is similar to some QA's thinking that a perfect transcript is one with punctuation and grammar according to their style, and nothing else.
