You are so right! Patient safety should be #1 but after working in QA for over 2 years now, I am shocked to find that the #1 is line count. MTs now only care about line count and they resent QA feedback. You have to be SO CAREFUL with feedback as you will inevitably be taken the wrong way. MTs now do not care about quality..they only care about $$$ and they seem to think that the company is there to serve them not the other way around. They feel they are the boss! It took me MANY YEARS to get to QA and my pride has been dashed by disrespectful MTs. I was always grateful for any feedback that improved my work. This is not the attitude I see now. It is a very thankless job. We get the worst of the worst and some MTs even abuse QA by sending blanks that they just didn't want to take the time to fill in ...just let QA fill in the blanks, don't waste their time, get free line count from QA!
