In Reply to: Anyone like ProType in PA? nm - killing time instead of working!
I have worked for ProType in PA for the last year. I think they are great. My time is flexible and I make as much money as I want because I can work as much or as little as I want and when I want. Pay periods are twice a month, which is the 1st through the 15th and the 15th through the end of the month. I saw a posting that said they never knew when they were going to get paycheck, but I have never had a problem. I usually get my paycheck within 4 days after pay period ends like any hospital I ever worked for and they pay twice a month. I have been very happy with them. The work is steady. There are lots of dialects and lots of specialties because they are University of Pennsylvania and a teaching hospital and also Temple University Hospital (so doctors rotate as fellows and students come and go). They fit you to what your experience is and there is always someone available if you have questions. The owners are great!!. I got sick right after I started with them and I couldn't work very much. They stuck with me and were very supportive until I got back on my feet. That is more than I can say for another company I used to work for. (When my dad had cancer and I took even 3 days off they griped about it. That was Transhealth out of Franklin, Tennessee by the way. They were very regimental about when you worked and always looking over your shoulder. I didn't like them at all. They weren't very forgiving about scheduling at all!) Anyway that is I what I think of ProType. Great company to work for, great pay, and great hours.

Protype
Worked for them for about a year from 2001-2002. They have been bought by Cymed so everything may be different. They were very unorganized, mom & pop kind of place. Otherwise they were great, but I was doing letters and they could not come up with a mailing list in the whole year I was there, had to make my own database. Imagine that impact on your line count? Luckily my husband has a paycheck, otherwise I could not have done it that long.

Not much work ever. Are they hiring? IF so, I am surprised, because we don't have enough work.

ProType (Penn.)

More ProType questions
I also am interested in Protype. Specifically would appreciate info on what platform they use. Also the old info looked like there was no direct deposit. Has this changed? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
ProType is AWESOME!!!!!NM
The work is BEAUTIFUL!!!! and pay is pretty darn good.
Protype web page
I couldn't get onto their home page at www.protype.us as it said something about 'Apache' being installed on their page. Maybe they are in the process of building a web page. Anyway, I sent a pasted resume to office@protype.us and we'll see if I hear anything back.
ProType in PA and flexible hours
I have worked for ProType for 1 year. They have flexible hours for the MT that is looking for it to work around her 3 children's schedule, and with regards to the MT looking for their address or phone number. They are ProType, Inc. 8794 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082 or you can contact Maureen with your contact information and any questions at office@protype.us or fax her at 1-610-853-9600, and she will get in touch with you as soon as she is available. See my other posting under ProType for specifics about company and my feelings about working for them. I think they are great! You do not have to live in PA to work for them.
