Which means you can get a lot of lines by doing shoddy work? nm
x
I think what that poster means is that SM

to ask for a job to do only 300 lines per day (which for an average MT is about 1-1/2 to 2 hours a day) and a specific kind of platform AND to just "hop on during the day" is just too unrealistic in today's world.

Most companies who hire for part time want a true part-time schedule, 15-20 hours per week, 600+ lines per day (versus normal full-time 1200 lines).

I mean, think about it.  300 lines a day is maybe 2 consults or 2 H&Ps, 1 psychiatric report....see what I mean?  It's really not much work at all.

no, the poster means in the PS of the

She means the name of the poster of the ad, a
very ethnic name, not common like Smith or Jones.
Either that, or the poster means that they are being
help out within the 40 hours, but increase the line count because of huge volumes. I am sure if she works for TT she does not have OT... but she does have a chance for incentive because the more you do the more you get paid anyway. Just my 2c.
It will get better, I hope. Too much time on my hands means too much time on ebay! lol nm

This means editing: 15 lines pro minute,
or 1/3 of a line pro SECOND.

To keep this tempo, you cannot make a SINGLE correction.

Even READING at this tempo is almost IMPOSSIBLE.

Do you think we are dummies that you can sell this to us?

Are you a VR sales person?
"Paid" just means it comes out of the vacation lines
.
Wow! This means 19 pages in 1 hour! One page has 40 lines.
This I will n e v e r , e v e r believe, only if I see it with my very own 2 blue eyes!

LOL !

2000 lines a day at $0.18 cpl. Believe it.....Not original poster, another one making $$$$. nm

you know full time means sm
different things to different companies. If this is IC find out how much they consider full time. Some companies will tell you 1000 lines or 1200 lines etc. If you can do that in 6 hours a day then it still might work for you. I don't see how an IC company can tell you how many hours to work. They can say we hire for so many lines a day. If you can do that in 30 hours per week, go for it! I turn around 300-350 lph so what they call full-time and what I call full-time are two different things. If they hire you as an employee that would be a different situation. But IC I bet is based on a certain number of lines only and not number of hours............at least it should be!
Second time this was posted and still have no idea what it means...
x
It is so obvious you are the same poster each time.
//
Agree with above poster, time to move on. sm
If they aren't returning your calls now and ignoring you, imagine what it would be like if you worked for them?
They work with you to make sure you get the lines required or the amount of lines you want...
I have never had a problem getting more work
You'll see this poster every time something is said or asked about Keystrokes. sm
He/she has a bitter attitude about them but never provides specifics. I think everyone just ignores this person. I know I did, and I am glad as I love my job at Keystrokes. It did take a few weeks to get started but they were waiting on my ID from the hospital. It was worth the wait. I have been there 4 months now.
I agree with the above poster. It is bad business to not pay your employees on time. I mean ....
after all, when was the last time you were able to tell your credit card companies, mortgage company etc.. hey, I am supposed to pay your bill on the 15th but it might be later than that, or may not at all. I mean GET REAL. Do these transcription companies not realize you have obligations too and you need to be paid on time. I think so...but they dont pay you..because they can. I would call them and them you want your check by Monday or you will take action, and once I had my check, SO LONG DEADBEATS. You deserve to be be paid.
I agree with the above poster. Two months?? Wow.. time to move on.. Can you say jacking you around..
I knew you could..
"overtime" is not a generic word. "incentive" is a generic word. Over time means time
x
She probably means the lack of work.

Always had a ton of work to make up, but never had any work to make it up with...always got e-mails telling me everything looked good, BUT I needed to get my line counts...it was literally impossible for me on my account and my supervisor never got in touch with me when I e-mailed multiple times about getting other accounts. Got multiple e-mails about how good I was doing and just regular company e-mails daily, but never anything about another account. I got frustrated with never going over $300 every two weeks working 25 hours a week.

Other than that everything was great about the company.  No complaints other than that. Would still be there if that wasn't the case.

IC means they cannot tell you WHEN to do the work, only X amount
Otherwise by IRS definition you ARE an employee. I have been seeing a lot of ads lately where companies want ICs for particular hours, and I can't believe people fall for that. The definition of IC versus employee is simple: Who has control? If you have control, you are IC. If the company has control, you are an employee.
If there is no work everyday almost all day, that means how does anybody?
how can you meet any kind of line count? I can't being on and off all day.
i love EHR!!! means I can work from anywhere

What it means: "Not enough US MT's who want to work
Reading between-the-lines:

'--- which is exactly what we planned when we dropped US MT pay, so we'd have an *excuse* to choose offshore first, US workers second.'

That eScription ad sure goes against 'Truth-in-advertising', doesn't it?
80% of work is VR/20% is straight which means...
probably 95% is VR or it is an overflow account...but you are right, just saw an IC for 8 cpl for 3rd shift!!!
An MTSO can say I need these lines by this time, and you, as an IC, either say yes or no.
:+
700 lines per day IS part time.
That is what I was told.
FYI OSI full time is 10,000 lines ppp
Now, if you can just get enough work available to get that, and not get on one of the accounts where they take a good 9-11% of lines right off the top, you'll be doing good.
Got paid, but once again not for all my lines. Third time in a row
I have been shorted.  I'm done.
outsourcing means the work is sent outside the office
so if they do not have an inhouse transcriptionist, they outsource the work to a service or IC.  Off shoring is work done somewhere outside U.S.  However, most people do not make a distinction between the two. Outsourcing CAN BE offshoring and often is used interchangeably.
She means asking MTs to work OT but not record hours
not her own
I think she means clinic work in general.
x
"Just me" means just me and no one else, that simple, go to work
nm
Thank you! I'm looking for part-time work to supplement my no-work full-time job.

MTSO says I need X lines by X time and will pay X cpl. IC says either "yes, I can" or

Anyone know what full time is for KS? Lines or hours? nm
x
Thanks so much. How many lines are required for full time? nm
x
Full time = 1200 lines per day. nm
xx
Not sure about the 40 hours for full-time, but 11,000 lines per pay sm

period are required.  I think right now they are hiring for Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday.  You decide which shift/hours you want to work, and I tihnk they will allow you to do a split shift if you prefer.  There is some flexibility in that you can let them know any changes you need to make, but generally you are expected to work the hours you commit to working.

The platform is ExText, which is Word-based and very easy to use.  The insurance is very affordable, I think. You have a choice between Aetna or Coventry, and then 3 choices as far as coverage -- ultimate, choice, and standard.  I have choice coverage with Coventry (single plan), and I think it is around $70 per pay period for medical, dental, and vision, with a $750 deductible, $15 copay for office visits.

Hope this helps!

I think it's a lot slower. I'm having a hard time getting lines, but I'm
nm
Can you get "full-time" lines in 24 to 32 hours?
My company didn't ask me how many hours I planned to work, they asked me how many lines I planned to do. I can do full-time lines in part-time hours and that's all they care about.

The good companies are out there. Don't give up.
Now you can not make your lines in 9 hours! More time for 2nd Job.
x
Transcend, is full time 40 hours or X lines?
x
I love it. Got my full-time lines first week.
First time in years I am back to making my old money again. A good match for me, at least. IMHO. Been in the business over 26 years and I like it a lot. Can see acct. specs while typing, samples, have normals and inserts, etc. Never a problem and that was from day 1. And I am not a recruiter, I am an MT who has been around the block enough times to know a good think when I have it and to stay put. Good luck to you.
You have absolutely get your lines in the vast majority of the time - sm
In other words, you cannot have technical problems one day, decide to run errands the next, and then the 1 day out of 3 you decide to work there is very low work and you cannot get your lines in they will call and/or send an e-mail asking why.  You need to be doing what you agreed to in your contract or you are going to get fired.  I think that is true at most places now.
Does anyone know the minimum lines required part time for Amphion? Thanks. nm
n
Any info on what is full time for DRC? Hours or lines? Any flexibility? TIA. nm
xx
LOL. What teeth? Lost them when I couldn't get full time lines
Just gumming whatever I can! LOL.
I am able to get my lines/hours in as long as I flex a little within my time window. (sm)
Are you hiring on now or just looking?
Poster does not work for TT, but

We SHOULD be able to do that, but it is disabled/blocked from us at TT.  I could do that, also, plus much more, when I worked inhouse on ExText.  Woe is us . . . .

See poster above having no work this a.m.
And that poster was told off, that it is her fault and she needs to find another job. Wondering if you would understand about her not having work to pay for Christmas. I certainly understand.
