Some posts say they provide no benefits. Some posts say they have a line count quota and other posts say there is no line quota. Some say they deduct for errors and other posts say they don't deduct. Some posts say they offshore and other posts say the don't offshore. Very confused. That's why I posted another inquiry into this company.

All that information is in the archives. It may even be 3 or 4 posts
down from where you are asking. Maybe how many years of experience they have isn't listed, but then there are no guidelines which we are told to follow about posting about a company. I know I worked for SoftScript and it was horrendous and I didn't have any non-ESL dictators. Someone else will post about how wonderful a company it is, but all of the Ex-SS have figured out it is probably management because we ALL know better. I figure there is there are at least a dozen posts and 11 of them are negative then it is a bad company. I do agree though that a newbie doesn't know there is anything better out there.
Many times people post read the archives and I'm guilty of that, because a company has been discussed so much and the very same questions asked again and again and again. I tihnk it is up to us to do our own research, just like the word boards aren't for those too lazy to Google something.

I had looked up the platform too and I think it's worth a try. Again, I've been on platforms like Escription which I averaged $30 an hour on and others have said they were starving. So, again, I think it is also up to the person.

I called the phone number and it answers for Macro-Solutions. I also checked with the BBB and sure enough they have been in business for a long time and have an excellent rating BUT the contact name is different than the name given with the BBB, but that could be because it is the HR person posting the ad. I still think that something is fishy with it, who knows though.
Any information on All Type. Could not find anything in the archives.
I know they are hiring so I am just trying to gather some information before applying.
I noticed that some of the archives had contradicting information also.
Thought maybe someone that worked for them currently or recently could give some insight. I guess no job is perfect and there is good and bad everywhere, just depends on what you can and can't live with. Have been offered a job and just want to make the best informed decision I can.

on this company, IF it is the one out of Fort Mill, SC, and none of the information is good, bouncing checks, no pay, etc., etc., etc. 
These conflicting statements may be due to their
hiring seasoned MTs. The person interested would need to ask them directly.

I do not give out that information. However one co I made $17
was Medquist. My current company pays different rates to different QA and I would never post what I earn. They do not need QA people. Just do the best you can and try and negotiate a fair QA rate for yourself. It will come. Unfortunately, even at $17, that is only half of what I earned as an MT. I once had a QA position that paid me $20 as an employee. You just have to negotiate.
When I advertise, I give all that information as
well as all information related to the job.
I worked for one company once that had their pre-canned ads. I hated them because they told nothing. They did give their website, but it was way old.

I get what you are all saying about them not having to give give you work, but...
I guess I just figure that as an IC, I am basically my own business and it is my responsibility to make sure that the work is done when it should be. I just think that if the standard of the company is 24 hour TAT then that is what I am agreeing to do when they hire me. There are advantages for both of us to the IC senerio, they do not have to pay benefits, or take care of collecting and reporting the taxes, and I have to adhear to the 24 hour TAT (or what every thier standards are) but can do that during hours that are convenient to me. Of course it is better for the company if they know exactly when I am going to be sitting at my desk and typing that is why they have the option of hiring employees. Just my opinion and wanting things to be like they used to be.. I guess I have to get out of my time warp or look a little harder for a company who really knows what IC status means.

Does anyone know why all the posts are so old whenever I want to research a company in the archives? Almost all of them are from 2004 and very few from 2005. If they were posted in 2005, then they are usually many months old. Also why aren't they posted in chronological order with newest ones first? Please help me understand this. Thanks.

Can someone tell me why I cannot access the archives any more? Why can I not research companies that are hiring through the archives? Is anyone else having this problem? Also is someone removing the responses to questions posed by people looking for information on certain companies? Well I looked in archives and only saw one where the person was happy working for them. Somehow I don't think that's your point,so have you worked for them????

Maybe she wanted RECENT information. The stuff in the archives tends to be fairly old. I read it too when I was considering them last year.
I don't know where the info comes from that they only have overflow accounts. That is not the type of account that I am on with them. The only regular time there is no work is Sunday. The only other time there has been no work in the middle of the week was around the holidays when the clinic was closed at Christmas and New Years and most clinics had slow work then.
Bottom line, to the OP, you have to make your own decision. If you get an offer and have a good feel about it, go for it. If you don't have a good feel about it, then you need to listen to your instinct. Good luck with whatever you decide.

are favorable toward Diskriter, but not for the supposed reasons stated above. This person is seriously misinformed about Diskriter offshoring at this time. It is my understanding that a long time ago they offshored to the Caribbean islands but that is not happening any more and all the work is kept here in the U.S. now.
Whoever wrote the "Beware" post is not telling the truth.

A while ago there were some posts of people not getting paid and checks bouncing. I would be careful and investigate. I don't know much about them but it would be nice if they were a good company.
