Oops, meant to post under credit check
That really irks me that a company thinks they can run someone's credit without authorization - business like them need to pay through the pocketbook - maybe they will learn a lesson.
I don't mind undergoing credit check if I'm told in advance and I authorize it - but I would DEFINITELY go after a company for the maximum penalties allowed if it ran one without my consent.
From above post. Oops, meant my MTSO support

Actually, the policy lapse time is approximately 63 days.
I've never seen it 45 days but maybe that is what several companies are changing to.. I hope not. With the 63 day lapse between policies, it helps because it gives you a chance to get your own individual policy for a month or so because or in the interim when you get another job and wait for that new policy to kick in.
What is treating your employees as "more than just a number?"
eTransPlus has an add on MT Daily and has that statement in bold letters. Unless something has changed, even while I type this, or unless they have some employees they relate it to, then that statement is absolutely not true.... unless maybe, not returning employees e-mail messages when they are concerned about their job stability, i.e. running out of work weeks on end, or maybe conference calls where the "remote transcriptionists are on mute" and cannot express themselves, or only time you hear from anyone is when there is a backlog. I e-mailed my account manager for two consecutive days with concerns of not enough work on both accounts, he has yet to reply. But then, the work got out of turn-around time and there was a heavy backlog, and guess what--- the very same manager sent out an e-mail--- lets get that backlog down." We were out of work 3-4 weeks ago, now they have a post saying they are hiring. Whats up. Big turnover or what.
I should have said click "more". I guess you have figured it out, and you are most welcome.
Use your brain, please...
If you really believe you can make more money working directly for the client, then do that. Or, better yet, go out and find your own clients and see how much they are willing to pay for MT services.
My brain......
I have 17 years of acute care experience. I work at home for a large 350-bed hospital, along with doing clinic for KS. I also do maternal-fetal medicine for another company. I would put my brain up against yours any day. Sometimes having a change, such as clinic, helps to give the brain a rest when spending a day with ops and maternal-medicine reports (which by the way is not easy work). Don't judge me just because of an observation I have made. I have been where hospitals and companies don't assign work out in the hopes certain people will leave. My advice to you, if you don't like it, find something else instead of complaining about it on here.
It is Sunday, my brain's day off.
