I used CS at a hospital, and the manager showed
me how it was possible to assign a wide range of values to different things you have to type. It was 5 years ago, but I was surprised at how specific the settings could be - much more detailed than just counting by the line. It could detect spaces and pay you much lower increments for that stroke if they wanted to, but still you might be technically paid something for each space! They can also use it to help the MTs, buy weighting certain dictators so you actually make more for the certain ones that everybody agreed were more difficult. Most services are not going to show their MTs how they set these things.
Katrina showed us a thing or two about how
animals are treated in THIS country, not to mention the people. (It was the government who PURPOSEFULLY cut funding to repair the levee...)
We are ALL paying much more now to fix the problem than would have been paid to properly maintain and prepare the area. AND new legislation is on the books to protect care for animals in hurricanes.
WHEN are we going to learn? PREVENTION is far less expensive than ANY punishment or fix?

To whoever said they were hired, and then no work. Nobody showed up for work. I hired Carol (for the 2nd time), sent her work assignments, and again I woke up with no work, just excuses why she could not work, again the second time. In fact, several Transcriptionist (the same ones over and over) keep answering the ad, and then never show up for work.
As for 26 surgeries, yes. Got the operative reports and scars to prove it.

I meant this is the only way to get my foot to the right job by going back to school part-time. So many colleges offer online courses that you can do from your home, but of course you have to go to the actual school to take your tests like in math, etc., so you do not get caught cheating. It's really worth completing your education these days. I figured my daughter will be able to come home on her own in about 3 years, so I should be able to find a decent job by then rather than making 6 or 7 cents a line as an MT. I cannot get anywhere with that kind of money.
