In Reply to: Do any of you have experience with... - MT in MT
I sent a resume and got an introduction letter. I tend to wonder if they are a new name for another company, but that is my intuition, no proof.
This is the ad that looked pretty well too good to be true. If you have been an MT for a while you know that if they are going to pay you that much AND benefits, the work is going to really suck. There is no free lunch, not any more. Benefits are not free. I have PTO, dental, medical and vision. I am not paid what I am used to getting, but that 1 cent I used to get would not cover half my taxes, and it was a drop in the bucket for some medical insurance.
What I am trying to say is, is that likely the benefits are not that beneficial (think pricey) and most likely the work is very difficult and/or the company has some ugly habits...like calling you to work extra on your days off, demanding more lines than God could deliver day in and day out, or the perhaps the managers have issues.
The last job I had being paid 10 to 12 cents a line (I got 11) was about 80% ESLs. When there was work, which they ran out frequently, they would expect us all to drop our lives and work until the queue was down. When there was no work, we would be promised that a new account was coming online anytime (I waited for 4 months hearing that). It was not a nice experience. If you have experience and need to work like NOW go to Keystrokes, Transtech or Transolutions. I have friends who have recently hired with all three of these places and they were put to work fast. They all like their jobs too.
