that an employee's work ethics or commitment level is any better than IC. You commit to what you want and need, and the fact that you or someone else may have to transcribe 1500+ lines per day versus 500 doesn't make you any better or committed when you get on to work. That's the feeling I get from you. It sounds like you might be envious of those who don't have to transcribe as much as you do because they don't need to and have help and/or don't need insurance. I'm happy for anyone who doesn't have to do this FT or work two and three jobs to make ends meet.
I know as an IC, I'm insulted by MTSOs who still think 7-8 is something big! They are out of touch, clueless and downright cheap. Bottom line, you do what you have to do, but I can tell you that I am helping to drive the price up, not down. I know my worth and my quality, and I don't settle for anything!
