Plenty of things to be paranoid about, but MUTE isn't one of them.

... or maybe you've never been on an UN-muted Acusis conference call where you hear everybody's dog barking in the background, everybody's baby crying, and the UPS guy trying to make a delivery. I'm GLAD she put it on MUTE... and she was available by IM if you'd had something important to say/ask. ;-)
