Of course the bottom line is that with the new platform anyone anywhere can get into all accounts in

all offices so it really doesnt matter where you are. I think MQ is probably just going to dump everyone into accounts that are behind and totally eliminate overtime or any kind of bonuses, etc. That is already in place in the NE so just a matter of time.

IMO, the bottom line
after seeing all the negative posts must be Amphion (for no weekends unless you want them) and MDI-MD (for good Bayshore software). Would most people agree?
Bottom line...
Amphion employs the best of the best...if you can't cut it, they cut you loose...simple.

Bottom line....
When Americans leave this country, or when work is sent outside of this country, they/it should accept the fact that things may not go they way they hoped. Another example is Lisa Ling's sister. American officials do not have the right to go into another country and try to make them change their laws just because the victim or person on the bad end of the stick is an American.
The Thai ppl are handling Carradine's case just as they would for their own people. Just because their country does not conduct CSI-type investigations does not mean that American officials can just barge into their country and make them do this or that.
These MTSOs who are rapidly sending work to other countries will soon find out that this is not the thing to do. It's just a matter of time before a major breach or misuse of information occurs.
You need to look out for your bottom line (sm)
While the people at MDI are great, that is not going to pay your bills. They created the situation you are in and you should not have to HAVE 2 jobs. I say keep the second job, you just never know WHEN the low work will happen again, and it will.
Bottom line...
If an MT cannot keep up with the demands of the job while maintaining high-quality standards, then they need to find a different profession. If a person feels that at 7 or 8 cpl they will not be able to correct and proofread their reports, then they either need to find a job that pays enough to do that or they need to find a different profession. Is it acceptable for a physcian to slack when it comes to quality because he isn't being paid enough? Is it okay for him/her to begin surgery and leave it half done because he thinks he will not make enough money off of this patient? You see, this is ALL about the patient. It is not about US. We are here to service the patient and create an easy-to-read, accurate document of their encounter. I know for myself, the day I cannot create a high-quality, accurate report is the same day I leave this profession.
Bottom Line at Amphion
I have been reading all of the comments about Amphion and having worked there and done well and also knowing people who haven't done well I think the bottom line is that if you have 10-key skills (if you have to ask what that is you don't have them) you will do well. Slow people and those who don't have 10-key skills will not do well at Amphion. If you are fast and productive you can make a lot of money at Amphion. It is not for everybody and certainly not for slowpokes. Can we just see everybody's side to this drawn out saga and give it a rest now? Thank you.
Don't believe it if they say it. If it means the bottom line,
I think you need to suck it up and learn to do ESLs or you'll be left behind.

well...your bottom line is lower
than I would accept. I currently make 10 cpl and will not go lower than 9.5 for transcription and will not go lower than 5.5 for edit.
Now, someone making 7 cpl currently will say....yeah, I will work for 8 cpl, that is a raise for me.
Also, there are some out there making 3 cpl for edit, if they were offered 4 or 5, they would take it.
How can we set a standard like this?
Bottom Line -- Mgmt always says that
cherry-picking is not allowed and will be dealt with; however, it very rarely is. If management is not going to take care of it, nothing you can do. Just type and go on. This way, you will get up to speed on these dictators and it will not matter in the long run.
MQ - their bottom line pay 2 cpl offshore or pay us NOTHING for ASR -nm
The bottom line is money...
3 cpl for VR...more money in their pockets. On the contrary to some of the replys to my first message...VR does save a ton of money for these hospitals, but these MTSO's know that the MTs can do more lines per hour with VR and hence, lower the pay to 3...so disgusting.

the bottom line - Cherry-Pickers are scum,
should be fired, and should not even call themselves MTs. If you have a job, you type what is assigned to you. Don't like it?! Take up burger-flipping. Only incompetent MTs cherry-pick.
True. bottom line - our job is to produce accurate, legal - sm
medical documents in the ENGLISH language. No one is ever quite as proficient in a second language as they are their native one. We spend our whole lives continuing to learn the nuances of our own language. If my medical record affects my care, or a possible court case, and ESPECIALLY my ability to receive & retain health insurance, you better believe I want it typed by a person for whom English is their #1 language, and by someone who is paid enough to actually care about the quality of the job they are doing.
"chuckle" raise in 3 days, not to their bottom line advantage is it.
Hey gooble up this one if you like. Not me!!! I could understand if hourly, but we are not. WE are the one who lose already, learning there program, acct spec, formats, the various QA preferences, learn/get an ear for each dictator. We LOSE BIG TIME because it takes time for all that above stuff, we cannot just sit down and zoom off. Hey but grab IT see how the attitude is toward MT with 6 cents offer, it says something ya know.
Bottom line is administrators trying to save a buck. Many drs. don't want records going offshore.

Bottom line: What does it pay per line?
.
15 years ago, I charged .22 per line to big accounts. Now I have been forced down to .13 per line.
This is in part due to offshore companies, in part due to newbies coming in and underbidding to get an account but not being able to service it and then the account expecting everyone else to meet that price. The market is being driven down by many forces, and it is not pretty. I used to pay .14 per line (gross line too) and now pay my subs 0.08. It is not something I wanted to do, but something that was necessary. With only 15 MTs, I feel the squeeze more than some of the big companies out there, but cannot grow and keep up the same standards.
Healthcare in general is not the money-maker it once was, and transcription has taken a hard hit over the years.
no, one platform for all accounts. nm

What platform does KS use for RAD accounts?
Horrible accounts - platform sux! nm

MDI-Florida has some accounts on this platform....sm
Good luck with your job search!
It's not just the platform and accounts that slow you down.
I haven’t worked for WebMedX for a couple of years, but the numbers I had to work with then were as follows (DISCLAIMER: Just as I was leaving, they were thinking about totally revamping their bonus system, so the numbers below are probably not currently accurate, but will give you some idea of what WMX thinks their MTs are capable of):
140 lines per hour average minimum. New employees placed on 90 day probationary status to learn platform and account specifics. Expected to reach 150 lines per hour average after 4 weeks. Line defined as 65-character line, which includes all body characters and spaces inclusive of formatting characters such as bold, italics, underlines, caps and tabs. Header and footer characters are not included in the line count.
Bonus paid as follows (in addition to your base pay per line):
Average lines/hr Bonus per line
160 to 180 = .0015
181 to 220 = .0030
221 to 250 = .0050
251 to 275 = .0075
276 to 299 = .0100
300+ = .0150
This is for the average for the entire two week pay period, so if you have a really great day and hit 500 lines per hour, then have several really bad days at 100 lines per hour, they take the average over those two weeks.
HOWEVER, if you fall below 140 lines per hour average, they DEDUCT pay:
0 to 124 = - .005
125 to 139 = - .0025
WMX is definitely looking to make a profit, so my way of thinking is they feel confident in offering a bonus that will not affect their bottom line and, as far as they are concerned, not going to be achieved by the majority of the MTs working for them. In fact, when I left, many MTs were complaining that they were no longer getting the same bonuses as they had just a few months prior and they were MTs who had worked for WMX for several years and were already very familiar with the platform and accounts.
As far as getting back up to speed, there are several factors that prevent smooth transition. First, you are on 100% QA review for the first couple of weeks, at least, and depending on the Editors you get, you may have to completely rethink what you have learned before. Then, there is the dreaded time clock. It is totally automatic. From the minute you log on to get your first report, you are on the clock. If you stop to look up a drug or find a new surgical instrument, your line count is affected. They tell you to log out for everything when you are not actually typing. That means even 2 minutes to stretch or go get a drink from the kitchen. Next, they seemed to have a lot of platform slowness. There were times when you could sit for a minute or more just to switch from the demographics page to the actual transcription page, or when trying to release the report. Sometimes, the platform would just freeze altogether, and you had to reboot. And they do periodically run out of work, depending on the accounts you have. So, if you want to keep your line count up, you have to keep logging off, which makes an 8 hour shift turn into a 10 to 12 hour day. Some people with families just don’t have the time for that. Not to mention, if they are in overtime, if you already have to put in a 10 hour day to get an 8 hour shift in, overtime will probably have to be on your days off. Also, most of their accounts are now going to ASR/Speech Recognition, and that system has many bugs left to be worked out that has caused many MTs to complain that they are not making as much money as they were before.
I am sure there are WebMedX MTs just itching to correct me and let you know how great WMX is. The above are my personal observations/opinions while working for them, just to give you another perspective.
Good luck.
Keystrokes accounts have more than one platform
Every account has a different platform (it depends on what the client wants to use). Some use ExText (which both of mine do), some Meditech, and some are on other platforms that use a C-phone.
Pay? Support? Platform? Accounts?
I have not seen any real specifics, but I understand about wanting to inform prospective employees and share your dislikes. I am being asked to submit a schedule at the interview when I don't know a tootin' thing about what I'd be getting into.
I'd like to know the bad platform and which accounts run out of work. I'm supposed to have bac
accounts to work on...Please email me.. I cant afford to work on the Mojave Desert LOL
Phoenix Medcom-Ortho accounts..Pay, platform, etc..
How are they to work for also. Any information would be appreciated. I have 10 years of ortho experience and was thinking of applying..
Does JLG have nice accounts to work on and is their platform user friendly.
:
Current information on WordZXpressed, how they are to work for, accounts, platform etc.. anyone??
Thanks for any input you may have.
Pay always on time, platform is easy, they've always been nice to me, do have several accounts to
avoid running out of work. I do MT and QA.
An ad from Dec. for them said you need a second line. They may have more than 1 platform/software,

Easy platform, assigned accounts, always plenty of work. Great OM and boss. nm
Actually, there a lot of accounts that are on-line (approximately 30%). sm
All of the ortho accounts are on-line, some radiology, most clinic and some basic 4.
some rad accounts pay per line/some per report.
I would call and ask them these type of company policy questions. They are nice people.
This place is for the hands-on side of day-to-day working for a company and those experiences encountered.
Most KS rad accounts are by the report with a few by the line. sm
By the minute in radiology would kill your pay as most are under a minute.
The only reason the one MedSurg account is by the minute is because their system has a lousy line counter that was not accurate, so KS managers told them that we could not use it and they figured out a way to do it by the minute. I have worked on that account in the past when they were in a bind but I do radiology 99% of the time.
Welcome to Keystrokes! They definitely have the best rad accounts out there!
Scribe platform line count
What are your line counts with the Scribe platform? I'm only getting half of what I did with DocQscribe.
Scribe platform line count
I was told I got paid for all headers, footers and expansions, but so much has to be done manually, like open sound file, click to save, then click to close, then click to send, then click to send with note or without note, etc. With DocQscribe, so much was done automatically including downloading a file behind the one we were doing.
Scribe platform, how to see line counts? sm
Does anyone know how to get individual report line counts in Scribe platform? I can see the lump sum, but I want to see individual report counts.
Well only if you get your own accounts or are paid gross line.
There is no way a transcription company will pay you that much. I have one of my own accounts too and make 12 cents per gross line, and I make around $50 per hour on average.
QA per-line pay? Guess that accounts for all the nitpicking...sm
If they have to make their lines, they'll nitpick you to death with their corrections du jour. And back and forth amongst them, if there's nothing there they'll find something there.
They are changing line count programs, not platform.
nm
if your platform is decent at OSI and you make line count....
nm
Their platform decreases your line count tremendously!
