OP--Don't be disheartened

IMHO, the majority of MTs agree with you wholeheartedly. These individuals who seem to be lacking empathy, are likely experiencing other issues, maybe not even MT related, and get some kick out of displacing their own anger onto you today. You just happened to be the convenient target of the moment. Maybe this disgruntled person is someone with very low self-esteem, or someone with an overabundance of insulin or testosterone or some other chemical out of balance in his or her body. You can never really tell. My vote is that he or she is someone who is upset because he or she could not control others in the way that he or she wanted to. So, again, he or she is displacing his or her anger onto you. People are really quite predictable.
But, it is not about you; their apparent need to attack you is actually an indication of a flaw in them.

Just some thoughts....you can tell me to MYOB if you want to. I think it is important for you (and for me and for all of us) to realize that we really do not know what is going on. What we do know is that we have a terrific communication problem (or lack of communication problem) but not much more. While it is important that we be able to talk about what is happening, it is also important that we not scare ourselves. Perhaps there is some contractural reason in one of the accounts that D cannot explain things now. There is this saying in the Talmud that says GIVE EVERYONE THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT. I am trying to do that, while at the same time protecting myself. Yes, I give MDI the benefit of the doubt, but I also went out and got myself a second job because I don't want the B of A hauling me off to jail. Disheartened, please do not give up yet. It may be that this whole thing will set itself aright. I think we each need to set some timelines and boundaries that work for our own situation. For example, at the beginning of July I told myself that if this was not straightened out (i.e., suficient work in my accounts) by the last week in July that I would get a supplemental job. There wasn't and I did. So please realize that we do have options. I want to hang on at MDI because I genuinely like the respect the people. At the same time, I also need to protect myself and so I did what I need to do to ensure that I will have income should this happen again. In the absence of any explanation, I have no reason to believe it will not happen again or that it will happen again. As the tech guys say INSUFFICIENT DATA COMING THROUGH. So my bottom line is I am going to look out for myself, albeit in the nicest way possible. I do think that the situation will reveal itself ere long. I do not think it can continue on this way for a long period of time. And I would like to add my thank you to everyone for being to civil and decent. It is so wonderful to see a group of people be able to share ideas without attacking.
