Not everyone got the treatment you obviously have gotten

The training is a joke. Half hour on the phone is what I got. Broken promises as to how much work would be available, no job skipping, etc. This list could potentially be very long. I'm glad you have had a very good experience, but not everyone has.

I don't say where because I know not everyone gets the same treatment. sm

I work for a national and have several hospitals in my work pool, each with several dictating docs/PAs/NPs of all different nationalities and dialects. But I do have a primary account which I absolutely love and which really boosts my line count on the days I get it. Only a few of us work on this account. I have also been with this same company for many years, have proven myself to my supervisor professionally and personally, and I have consistently excellent random reviews. I did not always have this account as my primary. My supervisor knows I love this account, and she knows the dictators are generous with normals, but she also knows I never have to send one of their charts to review and that I can turnaround a LOT of these charts per hour. So in a sense, having this account is a reward. I am sure if other MTs knew how easy (to me, at least) this account is, they would want it, too.

So I would not say what national I work for because I know there would immediately be several other MTs on here claiming that their situation is the exact opposite, nothing but ESL dictators and mushmouths, etc. Well, that's how it was for me when I first started wtih this company. It has taken several years of steady effort to get to this point (and very little complaining). For every one 2300-line day there were three 1300-line days.

I empathize with those who are struggling, I have been there. It was a few years before I got to an income that I was truly proud of.

Treatment

First of all I would venture to say that any glowing reviews about Futurenet came from people who do not need benefits, i.e. those who have husbands who work or those who just want mall money.

If you need a full-time job with benefits - do not apply to Futurenet.
Not everyone receives the same treatment. Maybe

QT is probably better than lots of companies, but they are on a serious downhill course.   I don't mind working extra occassionally, but we get it caught up this week and then next week it will be behind again and we'll be asked to work again.  If they are staying out of TAT it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know you need to get rid of those not doing their share and hire new ones.

Disgruntled employees are disgruntled for a reason.  Sure there are those who just aren't going to be happy/content with any company, but there have been several posts over the last few months where people have noted a change in the company.  Some if it I think is due to EDITED leaving.  She seemed to balance the work so that you didn't get garbage 2 days in a row.  Also L started her business and there didn't seem to be anyone looking after TAT, being balanced in the work distribution, you didn't know who did what, e-mails didn't get answered, QA problems, etc.   There was talk maybe 2 years ago about selling to the squid and I was told not to believe it, that it absolutely wasn't true.  If there is no basis to the offshoring issue, I feel they need to come forward and let us know, either way.   When you take a position you do it based on current information, if the situation changes I believe you should know so that you can decide what to do.

SOME treatment, even if slow, is better than
.
What makes u think u should get special treatment?
Tons and tons of ESL and you can't avoid them.
I didn't like the way we were given preferential treatment (sm)
and the MTs were treated like peons. The owner told me about different perks that QA got, but the MTs did not get, because we were considered the elite. Even though I was in QA, I never thought that I was better than the MTs, or elite. I was once an MT, so I remember how it was, and I didn't like their attitude. That is one of the reasons that I left.
Honest/personable treatment, no DD but pay on
a lot of ESL or just plain difficult dictators.  They are growing.  I was switched to a new account they added in the middle of a work day with no notice...wished I had been asked in advance if that was what I was interested cuz it blew productivity for a few days and lowered my check since I was not yet familiar with the first account and new to the platform.  Competitive pay, IC status.  No extra phone line needed.  They use AIM when you are working...may or may not get support even if someone is assigned to cover for questions/help.  I left to return to work for a previous MTSO where I had worked.
Honest/personalbe treatment...
Thanks for your reply. Looks like I'm better off where I am, even without knowing the pay.
So you deserve special treatment? sm
MTs that don't have kids are ALWAYS stuck with the weekends and nights. It is expected of us to take up the slack for the MTs with kids ALL THE TIME. And when asked ONE TIME to switch and work a night or a weekend so an MT without kids can do something, the answer is always NO I want to be with my kids. Go ahead and flame me because personally I'm SICK OF IT!
sick and on treatment and they were laughing?
honestly, one day these people will get their due.. unreal that people can laugh at someone's misfortune, an employee no less. Tacky and sad.
