spent looking up addresses, etc. They kept you on because they can't find anyone to put up with the low and steady income.

Yup, lots of ESLs.. I like the company though and
after a while, once you get used to them, they are not so bad. Sometimes, I find the US physicians worse with mumbling, etc
Only problem: Lots of ESLs.
Easy money makers if you can understand. Lots of times you can't and have to leave blanks.
BTW, I am a little leary of Indian docs giving me a psychiatric evaluation. They come from a company that worships rats, cows and giant phallic symbols. They are going to tell ME about my sanity? Puhleeze.

I make 950-1000 per week
I am an employee, only 8 cpl with incentive over 1200 lpd, work a strict 8 hr/day, 40 hr/wk shift. I do work on only one account, about 75% op notes, although it is a very large teaching hospital so still have a very large variety of dictators (currently wrestling with my list of 500+ new residents for this summery). I have full hospital benefits. It is possible.....
$700 is very good, except as IC you are losing 7.5% in having to pay your own taxes.
I used to make that $1000 a week but
that was in 1989 or 1990. Wish on.
I cannot believe anyone would make $1000.00 weekly after taxes.
That is very good pay
If you can't make 1000 lines in 8 hours,
in the wrong profession.

I was just curious because I have had some people tell me they make over $1000 every week and that
seems impossible to me.
The last time I heard, they were over 500 and plan to be over 1000 by the end of next May sm
because of new accounts, expanding accounts and I think buying two smaller companies at the end of this year. I have a good source, so these are accurate.

EASY to make line count!
My experience was the opposite. I routinely did 1600-2000 lines a day, WAY over minimum of about 1200 lines a day. I can't make that now in my current job, but at Spheris it was easy. It does depend on the accounts you're assigned, though, so I don't doubt that it COULD be hard to make line count at Spheris. Just depends.

Been working with eScription for about 6 years now and absolutely love it. Would not want to go back to straight transcription ever.
I also make great money with it ~ at least $50 an hour, consistently.

$1,000 a month would be part-time and easy enough to do.
Most people don't consider it good pay, but it's a reasonable goal if you have a spouse or supplemental income. Even as a newbie, $1,000 per month divided by four weeks is $250 per week. That's 25 hours at $10 per hour, or 125 lines per hour at $.08 cpl.
Posts on pg 2 here and lots at bottom of page 3 make them kind of iffy. nm

Do you think they are going to discourage you on the very first day of hire. NOT.
Obviously, you are one who is getting cherry-picked reports, but your time will come for the difficult dictators just as we all get.

but I found it difficult to make any money there. They use a Word counter, which is definitely short. Some TATs they have are unreasonable. Because of the way work comes in, your work day could be stretched from 6 in the morning to 9 at night. I like to work with a set schedule, so it was not a good fit for me. They may have different platforms now.
Pay always on time, platform is easy, they've always been nice to me, do have several accounts to
avoid running out of work. I do MT and QA.
There is a time clock, but LPH is easy to achieve and bonus is not done by that any longer. SM
