Nope, just tired of the whining; feels like a daycare center

Seems to me all the time and energy put into this board whining over something that cannot be changed would be more wisely used either (a) learning VR or (b) putting out one's resume.

Nope. We just get sick and tired of our company getting bashed
at every turn. We love this place and have run out of patience with posters like this who clearly have no idea what they are talking about.
Have you never lost your patience?
Yes--I also do daycare. I do transcription PT

BRAVO, Single Mom!!! You are 100% correct: Daycare is not s/m
raising your kids any more than a SCHOOL is. I am so insanely sick and tired of the people on here who have NO idea how it feels to be without food and money to take care of their children. I would suspect that a great deal but NOT all) of the people telling the OP to stay home and not try to better herself with a nursing education and a nursing job have someone else who helps them pay the bills... do ya think?
tired, tired, tired of all the tech
problems with these platforms. I just want to work on an old fashioned program, like WP5.1 or Medrite, maybe with voice wave. Too many problems. Does anybody know any companies that use something like these. Just call me a dinosaur lover.
nope, not me, NOPE Worked to hard and long to sm
know what I know, my expertise is worth more and constant updating . Keep looking on the job boards. Email and ask if VR, pay for space and lowest to highest line rate for the POSITION (generic question) not I have 20 years exp. etc
Whining
Had to reply to this one. Accidently sent to her email. She thinks I'm whining. Sorry if I seem to be to anyone else. I was only trying to find out if there are others? It must be nice to be able to say Oh, I look at this as a little vacation. I am the sole provider of a 6-year-old little girl living paycheck to paycheck, so yes I do get worried when there is no work. I wasn't blaming anyone or anything. I was just curious if maybe it was just my accounts. Never expected such a reply. Always seems to be a smarta... in the bunch. Thanks all you other understanding considerate nice fellow MTs out there.
Whining
*However, what disturbs me just as much is the attitude of so many MTs. If the shoe is ever on the other foot, these MTs will be begging for someone to tell them what company is best and who pays the most, only to be told nanny, nanny, boo, boo! Why can't we help one another? What is it going to hurt to give company names? Are these MTs job scared? If not, why the cut throat attitudes? So sad!*
That is MY definition of whining. No offense, seems exaggerated description of us MTs. My day is OK, thanks
not everyone feels that way...
I just had to say that I have saw the posts regarding those who did not like you or said that you were awful to deal with, but I don't agree. I'm still with D&L after you brought me on and love it. I never had any problems with you. You handled your job and kept me in work. I was very surprised to find you no longer there. I wish you luck in whatever you are doing now!
Yes, me too. I know how OP feels. I also SM
want to add to GP, you sound like a wonderful person and I have always enoyed your posts.
I'm not out of this, but the end should be coming soon.
I just don't want to have to listen to the whining when this happens, as you know it will. nm

This board can be used for more than whining. SM
I personally skip over the obvious whiny posts. But when I was looking for a job, I found it invaluable to come here and read about various companies. It helped me weed out the obvious bad ones and send my resume to the better ones.
I've been doing this for 6 years - from local doctor (actually my brother-in-law) to hospital to large nationals. I tend to sacrifice speed to accuracy and take pride in my work. However, I have worked for 5 companies this year - yes, FIVE - with 4 of them (which I still consider to be good companies) unable to provide enough work for me to pay my bills, that is to say 8 hours a day, a minimum of 150 lines an hour. I have an excellent work ethic, sign on at the beginning of my shift, work 8 hours, my last QA rating as of 2 weeks ago is 100%. So, what I'm not understanding is - is it me or the companies who are mismanaging? Do I have a legitimate complaint or am I also a whiner? Something is definitely going on with this industry - and not all of it good. Let's put it all out there, the Stepfords and the whiners, and see if we can make gradual improvements to our industry.
P.S. I love my current company and finally have enough work to keep me busy - woohoo!
ah..stop your whining already..
get some work done so you can pay your bills and feed your kids LOL
Perhaps instead of whining and complaining
you should find a different profession? If you don't like your company and the way they treat you why not leave? You're allowing someone else to cause you grief and misery; most wouldn't take it, they would have enough sense to go elsewhere.
Why? Because you incite whining?
You bait people who are already hurting and when they strike back, you call it whining.
You are pathetic.
Certainly a better idea than whining along with them.
from under a bad MTSO and working in a situation that they can be proud of.
Feels kind of right, what your saying
"The other troublemaker"
It is evident that not everyone feels the same way
I am another MT that feels a recruiter should be here arguing for or against their company. If they are good company, they will retain good MTs whether they offshore or not. In regard to company paperwork, not everyone is inclined to own a fax machine. It is not a prerequisite for a job.
finally, someone else who feels the
way that I do. We are all human beings with feelings and deserve to be treated as such. Thank you.
IMO, FN feels MTs are disposable
They must think there is an endless supply of warm bodies to do this job and put up with being treated poorly. I really didn't have any trouble with the staff, the platform or the pay -- there just was no work. Therefore, I took on a second job and phased away from working for them. I need money to live. Getting 5 jobs, then No Job Available for the rest of the day was unacceptable.
Does everyone get it yet?!? They don't care about their transcriptionists. What they care about is their TAT and being sure to remain over-staffed. When I told them I was leaving, the response was, Well, you have to do what you have to do. We are all replaceable in their eyes: Disposable, robotic typists. Their loss.
Quit whining and grow up
So, you were fired from Spheris. Probably because you couldn't cut it. You get 90 days to make your production, and if after 90 days, you aren't producing, they will cut you loose. Why should they keep people like you, who are obviously bitter, and carrying a huge chip on your shoulder, when there are other so-called newbies, with good work ethics who want to work hard, and are willing to put in the time required to get the production required. 3 months is a long time to get used to an account, and build your production. There must have been more to your firing than what you state in your post.
Hopefully you will find employment elsewhere. But, I would urge you to change your attitude, lose the chip on your shoulder and grow up. Don't blame everything and everyone around you. Take a look at your production, skills, etc. and then ask yourself again, why Spheris let you go.
Ok, I won't. It IS hard to sing over the whining.

Exactly MOVE ON and quit whining
This has been going on for months and months and months. Obviously a new group of MTs over and over and they go through the same thing.
Nagging, whining WOMEN!!!
Exactly why I choose to work at home!!!!
Bunch of whining ladies
Andrea Renner does not care about postings here, she thinks the moderator will remove it! Seems she considers hard working participants here as bunch of whining ladies!
MTSOs need to know the work is going to be done consistently. Not just when someone feels like
:+
She acts as if she feels threatened and angry
At least that was my impression of her.
You're right though. She'll get her come-down some day.
Just curious as to what MTSO feels is good pay for
x
10.5 w/ benefits & niceness feels good to me
.
Yep. This MT feels like a ping pong ball...
Meanwhile, because the last 6 months has not been the best with the MTSOs, owe lots of bills, and looking to change jobs for about the 3rd time. Actually very tired of being promised and then not having a full paycheck. What am I to tell the bill collectors today? I am going to apply to another job, or take on another, because my job is always running out of work? Talk about a poor credit reference. Uggg. Signed the ping pong MT.
Anyone hire on with MQ recently that feels it's a good fit? Getting the pay you wanted? nm

You'd be surprised who feels they aced tests but didn't.
Everyone always thinks they are the big kahona in testing but I am never surprised at lower scores.
If you bombarded them with tons of emails, etc., you probably hindered your ownself.
Never be too sure of yourself. I see it undone every single day.
A company feels like if you keep your credit in good standing, then
they can expect the same from you. I am in total agreement with a company checking, I have nothing to hide, in fact am very proud of what my credit score is. They don’t care what you owe or how much you owe, the only thing they are looking for is how do you handle your credit. When you are renting now, places check your credit. Smart move on their part.
Just hate whining and complaining when there are backup accts with plenty

not to mention, this feels like a push to make this just a part-time
job because it seems to be happening already. My partner drives a school bus and they do that to the drivers, they only allow them to work so-many hours a week, with absolutely NO benefits, other than the few the union has gotten them, and the bit higher pay scale. My partner also has had the union fight for his job many times especially when new managers would come in and right away want to 'clean house', get rid of the higher paid, senior drivers. It costs him 37 dollars a month though for 10 months and that is a drag too but in the long run, he does have some protection and the union is only as strong as its members. they are also in bed with management most of the time but these managers are usually nasty, aggressive, and would rather just hire their friends and family, and that is one thing I appreciate the union for, if nothing else...
you have to have an advocate - someone has to have our best interest in mind if we are ever to keep our jobs...
What "new center"?
nm
The Transcription Center
Has anyone worked for this co. in Texas that could comment?
Try Kimball Medical Center
I'd still contact the solution center
I got the email from my STM this week as well (bet we have the same one!), but I have not been experiencing any problems. It is still very possible that the reason you are having so many difficulties is something to do with your router (if you have one) or ISP. I know how frustrating it is when the platform keeps freezing up on you. I was having so much trouble until I changed the settings on my router and now it is smooth sailing. Definitely contact the Solution Center and see what they can do to help you. There's no reason to suffer through it if there is a fix out there.
Doctor's Medical Center
I searched this board and couldn't find any specific info on this company. Does anyone work for them? Know anything positive or negative about them? Know about their pay scale?
A local surgery center
I was referred to them through someone else. They have had trouble keeping a transcriptionist. Now I know why.
CMC (Carolinas Medical Center)
is located in Charlotte, NC. I know, because I used to work there. They have bought A LOT of the hospitals in North Carolina. It is a VERY large corporation. Good company to work for.
Anybody work on the outpatient surgery center at e-MTS?
Interested in knowing what the account's like, i.e. platform, dictators, productivity, et cet. Tx.
Cheyenne Regional Medical Center
Does anyone know anything about what it is like to work for Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. Can you work remote? How is the pay?
Sonora Regional Medical Center
This seems to be the name of the hospital Janis Reed advised. She says the ad said weekend only. Rather snappy reply from her via email.
8 center per gross line...as good as 9/65 cpl?

Anyone here for for University of Kansas Medical Center? Please let me know. Thanks.
I work at home for a national now and I'm wondering if KU outsources or does in-house and about their benefits. Not a newbie, have 11 years experience in acute care. Rock chalk!
I just read on their website under Employment Center (sm)
that they are hiring. I know they had a job listing posted on here a week or so ago for experienced Docuscribe MT's. I work on Meditech there but would kill to get back on Docuscribe again! I loved it...
Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia is hiring - nm
x
I see that Cheyenne Regional Medical Center is hiring.
"Training" is on location but after training, there will be multiple excuses as to why you can't go home to work. Supervisor is NEVER there. Pay is not TOO bad, but working in-house is horrible. Just thought I would throw my opinion in and try to save the next poor soul who falls for their "promises".
Another example of the "bizarreness" is when I worked for our regional medical center
Nicholas who was clearly of Indian descent kept faxing and calling the transcription department of our hospital wanted to submit a bid to do our transcription. The manager politely declined but he continued to call EVERY day..I guess to see if she'd wear down. She then faxed them an official stop contacting us letter but it continued. Finally, she had the hospital's attorney send them a final notice in regards to legal action and they called after that. Honestly, at that point, I came home so I dont what ever become of it. I know it blew our minds. It must be a cultural thing.
