No, my check has been late 2 times in 3 years, PO fault, not StatIQ's.

I don't think you have to worry in the least that they are not paying you. I guarantee it has been lost in the mail. Please do call them. The times mine has been late, I have called and always been told if it is a week late to tell them and they will re-write a check and send it. They want to know if you don't receive it.

Is anyone waiting for a check from StatIQ?
Checks get mailed out on the 1st of the month and it is now the 15th and I still have not recieved mine. Today is the 15th and my second check of the month will be mailed out today, but yet I haven't even recieved my first check for July.
I have emailed them twice over the past few days and have yet to get a response. Just curious if anyone else is having any problems with getting paid.
I don't care why your check is late
Late is late. There is no excuse for any company paying anyone late. Quit that B#$TCH NOW.
Forget my check is 2 weeks late, I am quitting my
job because I have to use some of my ink to print out paperwork. If that is an honest-to-goodness complaint, you need a dose of reality.
A printer with ink will cost about $30 to $40. My company owes me $900 in back wages and $900 in current wages. Yes, I refuse to work any more until I am paid, but I am still out almost $2000. All they say is check is in the mail.
If you can put your MT-princess resume out there and get a better job that doesn't require you to spend thousands of cents on ink, you should go for it.
I did to. Work late shift and did not check msg in time. Hope to get recap

You are years too late for that. nm
I've worked there several years, and have never had a late paycheck nm
nm
I have said many times for two years
That I am with Medware, they treat me fair and keep me in work. The line rate is higher that MQ where I spent 4 years, the insurance coverage at Medware is $17/week for United Healthcare, the incentive plan is attainable, we get direct deposit every other Friday. They treat you fairly. Sometime I wish I did not read this board, but I still believe there are those who are looking for a better company and ask for information. I happen to like working for Medware. Calling someone an idiot is rude, I guess one must consider the source. Time to go to work.
Have gotten cards from them svl times over the years. nm

I live in NY & have applied to them svl times over the years. Have never had a reply. nm

Very true, really long weekends at times, but no real vacation in 7 years.I'll travel when retire
nm
I have been there 4 years and never had a bounced check. sm
I have and always have had FT work, greater than 1400 lines a day.
I've worked there 7 years and had what I thought was a problem with my check, but that was
due to MY mistake. I accidentally counted lines typed after midnight on the last day of the pay period and thought I would get paid for them. It was when I first started. They actually cut me a check for those lines that day. Glad I work close to the office.
Just to clarify for you, Grace does the paychecks on site. If there is a problem with your check, call the 1-800 number and ask for Grace or email Grace@medwaremt.com. She will check the problem and fix it right then and there. Don't go to the team leader, go to the person who does the checks. Her office is also right next to the Flannery's so it not a big thing to get them signed.
Too little, too late? It is never too late. I am one person, true, but together
Let me tell what this ONE person achieved on her own and then you can imagine what many of us can do if we stand together.
Two years ago, I was working as an MT for a local hospital. One day, we were told that our overflow was going to be outsourced to one of the nationals, just the discharge summaries and not even all of those. Two months after they told us that lie, they called is in one by one and fired us because they were outsourcing the entire dept because it was cost effective. The service they were using was a very large national who I happened to know had a reputation of offshoring. And I just knew because our little hospital had easy as pie dictators with maybe 4 out of a staff of 200 that were ESL, our work would most definitely be one of the accounts offshored.
I was angry! Oh, they offered us jobs at the service and told us we would definitely be working on our hospital, but I'm no fool and I knew it would be a matter of time before we were forced to take secondary accounts which would eventually become our primary accounts and our little hospital would just disappear from our queues.
I refused the job with the service on moral grounds. I refused to work for a company that offshored. And then I decided to channel my anger and outrage into something proactive. I wrote letters to every newspaper in my area. Every small farming community newspaper this hospital served, and the big city newspaper in the big city close by. I never dreamed that anyone would pay attention at one woman's rantings. But a funny thing happened. My letter was printed in more than one of the papers I sent it to, and reporter from one of the larger newspapers called me and asked if I would do an interview. I said absolutely.
Long story short, they did the interview and then interviewed the administrator of the hospital. They put him in the hot seat and asked him about offshoring health information to India. He had no definitive answers to give except that he would have to look at the contract and make sure that it was stipulated that his hospital's work was not sent over seas.
It was a small triumph, but I took some satisfaction in it. Two weeks after that and just when I thought all the hoopla had died on my little letter, another letter appeared in the newspaper -- from an HIM director at another local hospital who said as a result of reading my letter and interview, that she had received a number of calls from concerned people asking if their medical information was being sent and transcribed overseas. She wanted to write the letter just to set the record straight that her hospital employed their own MTs and did not outsource to a service nor did they offshore any of their work to third-world countries.
And I'm still not done. Still a few weeks later another letter in the big city paper was printed from another HIM director assuring the community that her hospital employed its own American MTs and did not outsource or offshore.
Now, everything has quieted down since then, but I managed to ruffle some feathers and make a point, and if I (one person, one middle-aged work-at-home mother of two) can cause that much ruckus -- think what a whole bunch of us can do.
I think we, as a group, need to take control of our industry and our career destiny and do something. Maybe march on Washington DC protesting the offshoring of American jobs -- not just ours, but ALL American jobs that are being offshored. There are more Americans out of work and losing work to third-world countries and corporate greed than just MTs! Our government needs to hear our voices! We need to MAKE ourselves be heard!
Instead of sitting back and pasting little smiley faces in our posts and saying good luck with that we need to come together. There is no room for MTs willing to accept lower wages, no room for MTs whose hearts bleed for our third-world counterparts, and no room for MTs who want to sit back and do nothing, but reap the benefits when the strong win the battle. We've reached a critical turning point and it's time to take up the cause and change the future.
A lot of times, if they need extra help, they will over 1-1/2 times our regular rate. sm
This is the equivalent of OT but you get it even if you have not done 40 hours already. I have also received AmerExp gift cards a few times for incentives offered. I think it depends on the account.
I do know for sure that they are working on an incentive program but I have no details and not even sure if they are still looking at it.
I do know for sure that I make more $$ with Keystrokes than I have ever made anywhere else.

The lady is extremely nice. The work is very flexible. The program that she uses is GREAT!!!! I only worked there for a very short time. Really wish I could have stayed but I was juggling between two jobs at the time. They are at the top of my list if things were to change and I could add on more work or even switch companies.
StatIQ
Anyone have any info on them. I tested, did well, offered a job and have yet to hear from them since last week. Is this the norm for them? Just curious. Thanks.

RESPONSE FROM STATIQ
Hi all!
I just couldn't sit back and not respond to this trail of messages about our company. Hopefully you'll all see that the original MT who posted has contacted me directly (because I responded back directly to her post), and we have resolved the confusion. She was kind enough to update the status of things later in the day – please do read her post above.
This particular situation was nothing more than an isolated incident that occurred, which had absolutely nothing to do with anything intentional on our part. I want to make one thing very clear to those of you who may be reading these posts wondering if our company is one that is reliable to work for. We have ALWAYS understood that the people working for us are human beings who are working to earn a living, and we have ALWAYS made a point to pay our contractors and employees on a very consistent, regular basis. We make it clear from the beginning which days are the days we mail out checks, and we always mail checks on those dates. If there ever were a reason that we did not mail them, any kind of a problem, we would notify our MTs about it. Our MTs are more than welcome to contact me directly about a missing check in the mail, and I will always remedy the situation in a very timely fashion. I would not ever intentionally ignore an e-mail about that subject, of that I can assure you. StatIQ is definitely NOT in the category of “Nonpayers,” never has been, never will be.
To sum it up, I guess I'd encourage all of you out there who might experience a situation similar to pick up the phone and call someone at your company if you don't receive a response via e-mail. E-mails get lost, overlooked, etc., but any respectable company should be available to receive a phone call from you and would hopefully be willing to resolve an issue like this promptly. I know there are plenty of companies out there who DO take advantage and do get away with not paying or paying slowly. We don't happen to be one of them.
Anyone out there work for StatIQ?
Any info would be appreciated. Thank you.
Anybody ever work for StatIQ Solutions...
Any info would be much appreciated.
Is StatIQ doing voice recognition?
If so, what is the average line rate?
Yes, Greenlight Transcription out of Oregon and StatIQ out of NM..
.
Any current information RE: StatIQ Solutions? Thanks!
It is not my fault I'm a better MLS than
you are. You will be an okay MLS
And somehow its all QA's fault! Everything!
We're lining our pockets on her misery or something? Really scary - really, really scary. The kind of MT who makes me cry myself to sleep at night. How dare I correct that incorrect drug? I mean, it was transcribed in love, right? What does it matter if its just a tad the wrong med? Here I am on my QA throne of judgment....its so scary.
Its always QA's fault isn't it ?
Gosh I really get tired of the QA bashing. Sounds to me if the company thought you were worth it, you would have been begged to stay and the QA would have been gone. You say We all left? Must have been all the ones not able to conform to whatever your company's standard was for QA. Many MTs leave a company because they just don't want to comply or learn anything, its like a revolving door, very common. I have been in this business doing QA for over 25 years. The only MTs that get a lot of emails from me or contact are the ones you have to constantly correct for the same things over and over again, and believe me that gets old. The MTs doing good work, we never hear from them and they never hear from us. Check the board here, you'll find many more sour grape complaints about QA. We are the only ones I guess to lash out at, its all our fault. Take responsibility for your own work! As far as not being able to work because of IM, I know for a fact that some, (and I do say some, not all) MTs chat away all day, even go into chat rooms to talk, they luvve to gossip, and especially talk about how terrible their company is, and you think we can't find out what chat room your in? Check out Buddy Spy. Thats why you can't get your work done, excuses excuses.......
I'm not saying that it is the fault of TT..sm
could be ExText, could be me, could be TT, I just don't know. My account has a high number of ESLs so I think this is a huge factor.
Not TT's fault
ExText...no matter where you work on ExText, line counts are hard to get. I can't figure it out either!
Yes, it does take a while sometimes..and the fault is not with KS (sm)
but with the hospital where the ID is coming from. I had to wait over a week and a half to get mine last fall. It's perfectly OK to call the office and check though, so you can ease your mind. Welcome to KS and good luck!
Not their fault
From the mistakes you made in your post, I can see why you did not pass their test! Sounds like sour grapes to me folks.
I think you are right, not TT's fault
Thanks for your kind words. After thinking on it, I realized that I never even think to skip jobs and I was getting the ones skipped. I realize that this patient needs their document, no matter how ESL the doc is, it's patient care. I am sure today will be better. I am going to have a similar outlook as yours. Thanks for your sane answer, and your validation. Today is another day :) and Thanks again.
It is also the fault of anyone who
encourages them to do it. Many newbies jump in because they are so eager to get a start. IMHO, we do not need to make it harder for them by linking them up with scam artists. Yes, in an ideal world, newbies would do their research, but most don't. That's their fault. But I am not going to let it be my fault that I recommended some fly by night matchbook school.
Don't tell anyone else it's their own fault and to get another job. (sm)
I work for a company that is highly praised on this board. People are always saying their accounts are overloaded with work. Well, mine isn't. It used to be, then they overhired on the account and the hospital's business has dropped steadily due to the poor economy. Since the end of October there has been virtually no work in this account. I have a backup account which does not contain what my specialties are so I barely get enough lines from that account either. It will take me at least a couple of months to learn the account and become fluent on it. There are many companies that promise you the moon and that you will NEVER run out of work. Well, the company I work for does have accounts that run out of work even though everyone who works for them on here says they don't. I don't care what company you work for..they do have accounts where there is no work and instead of moving some of the recently hired people on low work accounts to new accounts, they keep everyone on there and no one can make any money. It is NOT the MTs' fault.
Whose fault
I have been reading a lot of these posts and they have been most helpful in pointing out companies that are unfair, etc.
However, I've also noticed many people complaining and just trying to point blame on others. This is not helpful and creates kind of a negative atmosphere all told.
I never said it was the mt's fault...sm
I am not taking sides in this. I read all of her previous posts and all I have to say at this point is: If she had just kept her opinions to herself, whether she felt she was justified or not (and she probably was), it would not have come down to this. Sometimes it IS best not to say anything, as it always has a way of coming back on you. Now there are consequences to her actions and unfortunately, also to others who felt the need to also continue the litany. There are always two sides to a story and this one definately has two sides. I am staying neutral and will just see how it all plays out. I just think there is a lesson to be learned here, is all, and that's just my opinion.
Wasnt Bonnie with Medware, then StatIQ or something and now Transolutions?? Kinda makes you worry
when a recruiter keeps changing jobs too.. Maybe, it's because she is unsure of whether her companies do or DONT offshore... Hmmmmm...(scratching my head) Could just be the sad state of affairs in that before you know it, even the most solid people become job hoppers. I had ONE job for 10 years and all I have done since I started doing this at-home stuff is job hop. Very discouraging.
Thats nobody's fault but your own, go get what your worth!!
There are too many companies out there that will pay you what your worth, why settle?
In response to It is All Your Fault
I COULD NOT AGREE WITH YOU MORE. I am not a stay-at-home mom. However, this is what most companies want now. If it was my way, MT's would be treated as the professionals that they are and not as a group of bean-pickers (Not that there is anything wrong with bean-pickers), but I paid a lot for my medical transcription education, which is frowned on because it is a college education and not AAMT, as did a number of MT's. I would appreciate being paid a decent hourly wage or salary. They do not expect doctors to be paid only by the operation, clinic visit, etc. And yes, it is correct to compare. (Some days I feel that I can perform an appendectomy) Comapnies do not want dedicated MTs who need a PRIMARY income, but those who are just trying to supplement husband's income or make extra cash. Working at home was not my choice, but just my option to stay employed as the hospitals were eliminating their transcription departments and giving in to outsourcing to transcription companies, etc. (Imagine the money they save by not having to buy equipment or providing space to a department). YOU ARE RIGHT! The profession of medical transcription has been XXXX by the greedy.
