What was the recruiter's name you talked to?
wondering if it is same as the one I talked to. They seemed very nice, but I got a much better offer elsewhere.
OSI - talked to their recruiter sm
and she got snippy with me for just asking a few questions, so I never went further than that with them.
I talked to a recruiter and she had the
most WONDERFUL position available and that I was luck because the MTs loved this account and there was rarely an opening on it - blah, blah, blah.
She mentioned the account and I had worked on that account when I worked at YOG and I knew it to be a horrendous account.
I talked to the team leader (or whatever her title was) of the account and she told me that they can't keep MTs on the account because it is so difficult and no one wants to work on it. Then she let slip that they offshore and the best dictation goes offshore while the crap stays here.
The recruiter was constantly IM people during my interview, which I felt was unprofessional.
Just talked to recruiter
I did accept the job, now I have to get the C-Phone. There are a lot of sites that sell refurbed ones, so I guess I will start checking there.
I start May 18th. Good luck to you!
I just talked to a recruiter 2 days ago! nm

Well I talked to the recruiter today
I do start in 2 weeks like the Stacey said. To me the payscale was a little confusing but I bet if I saw it on paper it would be more clear. The two job thing is a little scarry. I have not done that before but DH said he will help out with the kids and fixing meals so hopefully all will turn out. I told him I am not going to do this forever lol.
When I applied and tested they then told me they did not hire IC at least the person I talked to
said that. I had applied because someone else said they did hire IC. So I actually dont know if they do or do not hire IC.
I talked to the insurance person yesterday (we all have her phone #). She told me sm
that the holdup was the insurance company and the fact that all KS employees did not get their paperwork in despite phone calls and emails. They needed both the applications for those who want it and the waivers from those who don't, apparently a federal requirement to prove that they offered it to everyone eligible.
The date of effect might still be 6/1 and everything will be retroactive with cards in the mail this week. They will know today.
I am excited about. I too have been without insurance for too many years!
I talked to the insurance lady too (she is very nice) and was told the same thing. sm
I called the office and talked to a high-up manager who said that they haven't said anything because they do not have anything in writing and do not want to give information and have it be wrong.
The premium for employee only is $404 per month and KS is paying $202. This is much better than I had at another company that I do not want bash as this was the only issue I had.
I love it at KS because I have plenty of work and everyone in the office is so nice. My lead changed positions in the company a few months ago and my new lead is very nice and more organized. I have been there 11 months (this time) and was there a year before that in 2005-6. I made the mistake of thinking that the grass was greener but it wasn't!
Here is what the recruiter told me
A few weeks ago I was offered a position with the Baltimore office for their "big" oncology account. The recruiter told me they start all transcriptionists at 7.5 cpl but after 90 days you would be moved up to 8 cpl. She also said that they now have a production pay plan that would pay 7.5-8 for the first (I think it was 700 lines); then 8.5 for for 701-1200; 9 for 1201-?; and it would go on up to as high as 9.75 cpl depending on lines produced. I turned them down because I thought that 7.5 or even 8 was low for someone with a lot of experience in oncology. I was very disappointed to say the least...especially after going through talking to them on the phone, then testing, then waiting for them to get back to me (which took forever) to see if I even passed. I thought I hadn't made it through the test and was really down and out...then after all that I turned them down anyway.
The recruiter for KS told me I
Lanier Voicewriter. Haven't heard back from the recruiter lately. She must be busy doing other things, trying to make ends meet.
That is what the recruiter told me.
I talked with 2 MTs that told me they were making 10/5 cpl for night shift. They were hired as new grads straight from Career Step back when they had the Focus on the Future program. I asked the recruiter about it, who confirmed that is what they pay for night shift. I have also seen others on this forum post that that is what they are making. I would be inquiring about why you are not getting the night differential when others are. Sounds like you are getting screwed.
Recruiter told me the don't outsource
And supposedly they are hiring me because they are getting a huge account with 6 hospitals. Any more info on them - I need to let them know tomorrow and don't know what to do. It sounded good, but now I'm worried.
another thing, recruiter told me about this
wonderful account that rarely had an opening because the MTs loved it so much. I had worked on this account when I was at YOG so I knew how horrible it was. After talking to the TL she told me they constantly have openings because the account is so difficult that they can't keep anyone on it. I'd only believe half of what the recruiter tells you. The recruiter is the one who denied the offshoring, the TL was the one who told me they did and also told me they offshored the good stuff.
I was told by recruiter that about 80% were now internet nm
nm
The recruiter for Axolotl told me
nm
ITA. The recruiter told me how lucky I
was that they had an opening on this wonderful account. Said the MTs just loved it and there was rarely an opening (A.V. in CA). I had worked on the account at YOG and it was HORRIBLE! When I talked to the team leader she told me that it was a very difficult account, that they couldn't keep MTs on it. Fortunately for me I already knew how horrible it was and turned them down. I wouldn't work for a company where they lie to you before you even get your foot in the door.
Recruiter told me they do pay for spaces...sm
The black and white line did confuse me a bit though.
I was told by their recruiter that they outsource off-shore.
x
I was told by recruiter they pay gross line
nm
Recent info told to me by recruiter...
Requiring minimum 700 lines a day, 5 days a week, and the weeks must be either or Sun-Thu or Tue-Sat. Past workers only had to commit to 2 weekend days a month but new hires must take a weekend day each week.
This seemed to be as low as a person could go for weekly commitment, unless I misunderstood.
S/l Precyse. The recruiter told me how lucky I
was that there was an opening on a particular account because all the MTs just loved the account and there was rarely an opening, it was a great account, yada, yada, yada. They mentioned the name of the account and I had worked on it several years earlier with another company and it was a horrendous account with the absolute worst ESLs I've ever countered and I like doing ESLs usually. I then talked to the team leader and she told me it was an extremely difficult account and that the MTs hated it and they couldn't keep anyone on the account. She accidently let slip too that they offshored and that the best dictation went offshore and the garbage stayed here for the US MTs.
It was fortunate for me that I knew about the account and I turned down the position. I don't know why they coudldn't be up front about it, because no way would I have stayed past day 1 with that account.
Dunno. Recruiter told me 8 cpl w/sp. for 1100 lpd, 8.5 cpl if you do 1400 lpd. nm

No, I am not paid any flat rate and I told that recruiter
I gave my notice, but he continues to ask me. Of course, I have not given my notice and will see how this job plays out. One thing to note is the recruiter claims I have a great account that many would be happy to have. May be he is worried about fabrication.
Yeah, my old company told all of us our jobs were secure
They told us to go about our business and work as usual, that a merger or acquisition may be taking place, and we need not worry. In that first call, I asked the supervisor about sending it to India and got a very defensive answer. I should have learned!!! Six months later, 150 of us...bam!!! Laid off...no more US MT force for that company...
I spoke with recruiter 3-4 wks ago and was told mixed acute care & clinic, no ops exclusively. Low
s
Right and told we should be happy we have jobs. Not too happy right now.
.
Cherrypicking is when you work from a pool of jobs and being able to reject the worst jobs to those
,
Monster Jobs and Career Builder usually have a few path jobs. nm
s
I don't hesitate to ask. Have been told "yes", and have been told "no." Never been to
:+
Don't think any do except for those in-house jobs. Some QA jobs are paid hourly. nm
s
They didn't take our jobs, QT gave them our jobs. The account is now
back in the hands of US MTs, or will be in just a couple of weeks.
Are MTs that are looking for jobs finding good jobs right now with everyone looking or is it
getting more difficult to find a good job. I am most interested in jobs for experienced MTs with more than 10 years service. I wonder if it is better to put a resume on or just keeping applying or what is the best way to go about this.
Well I am one of the ones who has talked with them....SM
The pay they quoted me was fairly good though not all that great, but I'm really looking for a smaller company and to get away from the really big companies. I did email with one MT who said she had been with them for 3 months and is now moving from PT to FT because she likes the money she is able to make with them. I took that as a good sign lol. I also looked them up in the archives and could find nothing negative.
I know what you mean about thinking with a maybe this will be the one attitude. I've been really disappointed in my search over the last few months.
I really think what is showing through as excitement in these threads (or just this one lol) is the fact that someone finally heard back from this company. I also think it took a while because it IS small and maybe they are extremely busy. I think the smaller MTSOs and their managers, account leaders, etc., probably all have too much to do everywhere so maybe these particular ladies really have just not had the time to finish up their hiring. JMO you understand.
If you are still looking, maybe you should email them and see if they still have openings. Their ad is on the job board. Just be prepared to possibly wait a couple of a few days for a response lol.
When i talked to them
they were very, very rude!
Only because we do so much rad. I talked to someone who sm
went to a radiology conference this week in Chicago (a radiologist friend) who told me that Keystrokes is everywhere and that whenever he talks to others in radiology, they all mention them. I hope that is good for all of us. I feel secure knowing that. He knows I work for them, so he made sure to tell me that they are very respected in the world of radiology!
I think I talked to them about 18
months ago, and that's what they were offering. Then I asked questions about how efficient things were, and it sounded rather time-consuming to me. They may have improved things by now, of course.
both I talked to
were women. I was actually told the Nuance recruiter wasn't with the company, but her email is still listed with them. This lady had a very thick northern city accent.
What was the name of the person you talked to? nm

I talked to them about IC status sm
and I really liked them. You might just call and ask. It would be IC status and you need your own equipment. They download their software.
I talked to her by telephone. sm
After about a 5-minute conversation, I knew I wouldn't be going to work for her. When I asked her about pay dates, she stated that MTs do not get paid until she receives payment from the client because, well, you just never know. She also stated that if she does not feel an MTs work is where she thinks it should be, she will lower their line rate. In my opinion, this person is very unprofessional. I agree with the above post about staying very far away from this business.
When I talked with them about a position, I was going to have to use....
their software and they did send a pedal. However, I decided to go with another company and never even plugged in the pedal that they sent.
Their software is based on MSWord, from what I understand.
HTH
I have talked to the office.
They say they are looking into finding me something.
Susan -- I talked with
recruiter today. It sounds pretty good.
Have you talked to DeVenture?
It is $20 a week for me and another $50 to put my two kids on. The company contributes a flat rate of $280 I believe.
I got hired the same day I talked to them but (sm)
I had to wait about 2 weeks for my keyfob from the hospital.
It has been talked about several times, but no one is
willing to do anything so nothing gets done. Personally I have no desire to be in a union and wouldn't join if there was one. By the time you pay union dues you wouldn't be any better off than you are now.
I talked to her yesterday or the day before... nm
x
Have you talked to your lead? sm
My accounts are busy. They were slow for 2 weeks but picked up, asking for extra help through this week!
I talked to them last year - sm
I am a long-time MT as well and they offered me 7 cents a line - umm, NOT! They gave me some song and dance as to why ER was only paid that as everything else was slightly more. I was shocked to say the least.
I talked to a Transolutions MT and basically
she was happy with the company. I try to find out as much as I can about a company when I interview, just to file away for future reference. She was looking for part-time work, and actually said she would recommend them. So.......who knows?
