More times than not, a recruiter will receive many resumes and/or applications in which the MT is not qualified for the job or their skill-set does not match what the company is advertising for. The recruiter may also have over 300 resumes/applications to review and may need to hire as many qualifiied MTs as possible in a short period of time. The recruiting process can be lengthy, so a recruiter will go after a qualified candidate first versus responding to an MT who is not qualified. If you feel your level of experience/work experience is a good fit for the job advertised, then by all means contact the recruiter. Squeaky wheel gets the oil!
