As I read these posts, I could just as easily insert MQ. No doubt you know this.

It appears that no communication if any is fast becoming the norm now. While I personally prefer not reading msgs from mgmt, there are many times when an MT needs a reply (see the post from the MT who is trying to firm up vacation plans).

This is also why I'm glad when MTs from other companies post here. In cases like these, we all learn and share info.
