NO COMPANY is ever going to be perfect, none of them are.  You can't have it all and that goes for every single worker in the world, not just MTs.  You have to pick your battles here.

Want excellent QA? Look for that.  Need prompt communication?  Look for that.  Want to be left alone to do your job and get paid for it?  Look for that.  If you have to have all touchy feely and nicey nice, look for it.  Pick what is most important to you and search for a company that will give it to you.  There are plenty of opinions on this board, enough to give anyone an idea.  I have had VERY similar experiences with others in regards to certain companies...so much so I read every opinion carefully.

I work for TT.  I love them, but they are not perfect.  I sometimes have emails ignored.  I sometimes get frustrated with QA because an old report will be just plain awful.  The system is occasionally wacky and sometimes I wait a long time to find my lines on the iChart.  Oh well.  I am not micromanaged.  I have plenty of work.  I do my job when I am supposed to do it and I get paid on time, every time.  When I do have occasion to speak with the office, they are pleasant.  When the work is backlogged, they can be a bit short tempered, but then again I am too, at that point.

I look at the total picture with this.  No, not perfect...quite good, about 90% of what I want and need most days, 75% on others.  I am an ADULT and I put up with it because I have worked for those companies that were 30% of what I needed or 20% of what I needed.  My main chosen battles with this career choice are pretty well taken care of.  It doesn't get much better.

Why do some people think they need it all in one place?
