Webmedx fits that bill, great company, great benefits, great pay and always on time. NM

Great pay, great benefits for 11+ years..sm
I've just started with this great company (eMTS).  I have 11+ years of experience and I was started at .10 per line as a regular employee, not IC, with a huge sign-on bonus, full benefits, very nice people, and a good account.  So far, this is the best experience I've had in my years as a transcriptionist.  Unfortunately, I don't believe they're hiring more right now, but you could always check in with them, they're online at eMTS.com.  The management seems to really care and they work with you.
Yes, they have QA hubs in India, where they do all these *****
I am not surprised!
No more great benefits. Only if you are
xx
Yes, they have sick pay and PTO, great benefits...sm
I've worked for TH for a long time, have taken sick time, and have never been fired for it.  Ridiculous.
Benefits don't sound that great to me.

They may be better than some, but certainly not great.

$15-18 is great, but what if ya' need health benefits?
Sometimes those premiums can be pricey in private practice.  Not what the OP asked, but just adding by 2 cents.
Great benefits don't help if the work isn't there.
It's been a while and maybe they've gotten better. The recruiter at the time was less than above-board with me. Try to find current employees to talk to.
They are able to offer great benefits...
because they do more than just transcription. And, for clarification, my posts are referring to the supervisor to whom the MTs report directly. Ms. Nasty-for-no-reason-at-all.
Webmedx is great for me; good benefits, sm
PTO, reasonable insurance cost. Plenty of work, decent platform (although we had some trouble last week but that's rare). I realize one company can't be right for everyone, but Webmedx has been great for me. 8 years and counting.
I bet the benefits aren't so great anymore.
Everywhere business are taking a hit and passing it on to their employees. Good insurance now at a company is one where you aren't spending more than $300 a month and you have just co-pays or a very small deductible.

Wages are frozen, people being fired for budget costs, everyone's doing two or more jobs and getting paid for one.

It would probably be a big blow to go back for a lot of people. The work place isn't the way it used to be anymore. Sad.
They had great benefits and little work. I lasted three

Great benefits, plenty of work, pay on time
Depending on experience, slightly above-average pay. I used to be with a company where I would have given my right arm for those few simple things. As for the posts below regarding line count, IF this (or any other concern) was affecting my work, there's a new invention called a telephone that comes in handy when wanting to address concerns (and their phone number is on their website).
Seem to have great benefits, which start after a month of employment. sm

Pay is so-so, level III 8 cpl, level IV 8.5 cpl, level V (high ESL) 9 cpl.  Everyone seems very friendly and helpful.

Good luck!

bouncing checks & crazy captain
Ladies: I PROMISE that if I find out that both of my payroll checks from Klaar (there are only 2) actually clear the bank and are okay in my checking account, I will return to this post and let you know that I retract my negative statements about Klaar. The payroll checks are drawn on Wachovia. Don't know if that is good or bad, Chicago area. I SINCERELY HOPE that both of my checks clear and all of this is over. I don't want to contact Dept. of Labor but I will because one way or another, I WILL GET MY MONEY/WAGES. I EARNED THEM.
Transhealth is very organized, great benefits..horrible platform
Maybe it was just me but i never made it through training. It certainly could have been a lot easier than having to open up 3-4 programs to get going. I found it to be time-consuming and in a production-based atmosphere, this did not cut it. On the other hand, maybe others think the program is wonderful, but I sure did not. I have used Dictaphone EXText and that is way easier.
TransHealth has great benefits, PTO, paid holidays for fulltimers. nm

Hourly pay, great benefits, schedule depends upon which accounts...sm
you are QAing.  Solid company.  Good luck!
Great office staff, okay pay, no benefits, horrible ESL all accounts...NM
NM
Gotta agree -- YOG was the best! Great pay, good benefits. I quit sm
the moment I heard she had sold to MQ .. ugh.
Great company -- good benefits, average pay, easy-to-achieve sm

incentive tier, ExText platform, pay by direct deposit every 2 weeks, always on time.  The people in management seem to genuinely care about the employees, which is a nice plus.  I have been there since October and am very happy.  Of course, one man's paradise is another man's hell it seems at times, but it is a good fit for me.

Good luck!

Hey Retired WMX
Is that really you?  We miss you so much, our ShortHand guru.  I sent you an email.
No. I am retired. NM
Goldbird
My husband is a retired
truck driver.  The truck driving industry seems to have gone the way of the MT business.  I wish you well though.  Sometimes I'm glad I'm old and really don't have to work anymore if I don't want to.  Gonna go paint my gourds!!
Happy! thought you retired. nm
x
Retired or retrained, probably. I don't think they care sm
what anything looks like or where it is typed, as long as it is CHEAP.
I'll be retired or dead by that time. Let the
bn
I directed comments to never worked on VR and those retired
I don’t think, therefore, this was meant for you, directing my comments elsewhere. Sorry your platform is bad and if you read my other postings you will see I don’t assume, tell others their's probably just not as good a system. I definitely am not an assumer.
Aha !! Retired and painting gourds as a hobby? Envy you. nm
.
Seriously, gourdpainter, I have been in the same boat as these people, you are retired, remember?
When I had to work and make a living I took most things that were thrown my way, because I had to have a job. If my boss told me I had time off and then changed their minds and I did not have in writing, then that is what I went along with. I hardly think now since you are retired you have the ability to tell others about what they should do. I have retirees tell me they think I should retire but now I am saying to you, let these people decide on their own what they want to do and it is different when you can afford to sit back and say that. You get retirement, they don’t!
I know of many Teamster union workers who retired at an early age, i.e. 57 yo and have a HUGE

retirement check for the rest of their life.  It is a great organization.  There may be strikes, but usually get it resolved in a reasonable amount of time and with MUCH better PAY and BENEFITS.

Only from my experience with union workers.

Good company, great people, good benefits.
Affordable insurance. Good luck!
Who did she fire?
Can you give the initials? Just curious.  I keep seeing the e-mails coming through for quality department positions.  I wondered what was up.
Did they actually tell you they would fire you?
I am ignoring the paperwork until pushed. How do they know I even got it? My attorney says that arbitration agreement would not stand up in a court of law anyhow.
They cannot fire you just because you
are pregnant. There would have to be a cause as you are an employee. It is discrimination if they get rid of you just because you are expecting.
They can't fire an ex-employee.
nm
where there's smoke there's fire!

Obviously more than one person has come forward and said they were told work is going to India.  The person who told me was not a "mere" MT.  Everyone knows they're sending work to India but no one on this site is going to stand by their promise of USA companies only!  I'm sure Webmedx is not far from turning into another Medware and trying to turn all us MTs in to janitors to clean by the C**P that these Indians put out.  This is just another example of the big companies turning our jobs over to India and then waving their flags trying to hide what they are about.  I can't believe this site actually expects companies to "publish" they're stabbing us in the back while they're smiling to our faces asking us to come to work for them (until they decide they want editors and not MTs).

Wake up Administrator!  No one is going to admit they're the "bad guys"!  When are we Americans going to start standing up for own jobs!!

They don't like to fire people, so when they
would like someone to leave for whatever reason, they get the no work thing or the worst dictators.   Until this week I could work 24/7.  Never, ever (except during hurricanes) have I not got my lines, rarely have to call for work, NEVER told to take a day off.
let them fire you ... and collect
As long as you are not being fired for not keeping to your schedule/agreement, etc., I'm pretty sure you can collect when fired (even if you weren't making your line count, were ill, etc.) It's much harder to collect (and easier for them to dispute the claim) when you resign.

Spheris WILL NOT give you a good reference. They make a permanent note on your record so you can't re-apply either. So forget that!

IMO, you should just wait it out, if you can, and collect while you're looking for something worthwhile.

Good luck.

frying pan to fire.
stay away and see if MQ gets their act together.
and it is rapid-fire

questions, bam, bam, bam.  so have a cup of coffee about 1/2 hour before. When I took it the recruiter actually apologized for their line rate.

Maybe so they can fire the slackers? nm
.
If I'm not mistaken, they can't fire you for doing so
.
Most MT services can fire you "at will" and it is in most
contracts that you sign.

However, I will tell you working in QA that generally if an MT has quality issues, they have had enough feedback to warrant it. I just do not think there is any place for someone that has a problem with quality.

However, the fair thing to do in my opinion is to limit reports until the quality issues have a chance to go up and then if they do not, then someone might be out the door.

You will find another job. Just try to work on your quality so this does not happen again.
So you would fire one for exercising RIGHT to free

After their email the other day about looking to fire people, I'd say …

why the water bucket being thrown on the fire
?
I know people there who need to be fired and they won't fire them. That just simply sm
is not true.  They are a very nice company.  They have benefits which include PTO and sick time.
can you give initials? Trying not to jump into the fire.
