No one wants to be overweight, noone what to contemplate surgery, but I think there is a conscious choice to want to live and will do anything to keep doing that with a decent quality of life. It's not always by choice that people are overweight. All I can think of here is ....empathy.. and I applaud anyone who cares enough about living to do whatever it takes, no matter how drastic. For some, it's their last chance to live so spare us all with the Just diet and exercise speech.

I have absolutely no reason to lie about my experience with SS. It was a horrible place for lots of reasons and I'll tell anyone who asks about the company my experience to spare them the headache. IF my QA scores were down (how could they be I was in QA), if I didn't stick to my schedule, etc. and got fired I would admit that also, but none of it happened - I QUIT and H did beg me to stay. I know it is hard with all his sliminess to believe he could beg, but beg he did.
This is a person who finds it SO easy to judge
and assume, and preach - that because HER life works, everyone else's should as well. Got a news bulletin for the OP - there is NOTHING mature about posting a one size fits all philosophy with a 'holier than thou' tone to boot.
Perhaps the OP doesn't realize this about people who fall from financial security so that a new pay schedule can be devastating: There but for the grace of God go you.'

The skinny on Spheris rehire
The fact is...
When you terminate, your supervisor checks a little box at the end of your form that says "rehire" or "No-rehire."
If you quit without notice, or if you quit just to go work with someone else without giving your supervisor a chance to make things better, quit without any reason, or if you were especially difficult while you were working with the company with lots of production or quality warnings, etc., you will probably be more susceptible to the no-rehire-box check.
If not, then you certainly should be able to be rehired if the rehire box was checked.

I just tested with All Type, Inc., in New Jersey for a PM position for OP notes only. I have read the most recent posts, but would like more comment on whether this is a reputable company to work for, what the integrity of the supervisory staff is like (seems like they have gone back on some agreements), accounts, QA, work load, voice quality, platform(s) are. Any information is much appreciated. I am working for a company that I like and account that I like, but they constantly overhire, and I keep running out of work.

Their recruiters are probably the rudest you will meet, simply horrible and so unqualified or uneducated. They are a small company trying to look big. Probably have about 400-500 employes.
Inside skinny on MedScribe and ChartNet
I have read every posted comments on MedScribe and ChartNet, but many of the posts were from three years ago. I just hired on as full-time MTwith MedScribe of Jacksonville, FL, and I would appreciate any input on the company, personnel, and the platform (ChartNet). Any comments on either subject? Thanks. I lost a couple of accounts after years (cheaper the office managers said but did not answer me if American or Indian companies) and now I am back working for a lower line rate. Comments on productivity would be appreciated, too.

Or perhaps his MT(s) has/have been filling his head with horror stories about VR and how it is a lawsuit waiting to happen?
Personally, I don't see any reason an M.D. would not trust a VR program, unless he's seen the products of a report edited by a less than competent MT who didn't do their editing job appropriately.

I don't really thing that is true. I think people like to jump all over TTers who praise TT because they are happy with their job. I do think people have a tendency to be kind of cranky and nasty when they are not sitting face-to-face with someone, and are posting anonymously. If you have any questions, ask away. I would be glad to answer them.

Right now I'm working full-time for one of the Axis of Evil...where, as we know, the recent denied-until-it-happened pay cuts and global equilibration of account levels screwed me, so I'm trying to get out of that hell hole, where the only thing left after VR gets done are the crappiest of the crap. I saw light at the end of the tunnel, and it turns out it was a train coming through to smack me head-on.
So I guess I'll hang onto the 2 jobs I have now, while I continue to look for 1 or maybe 2 that will be more amenable. I don't mind working hard and I don't really even mind the account job #2 has me on (although it has been NWA all week...must have hired some more bodies), but I hate the perceived sneakiness of it while they've got my back against the wall. GRRRR

When companies switch insurance plans, they do it months in advance and not keep working on it long after their insurance is canceled.

being specifically singled out for bad treatment because she **dares** to question them. Completely ridiculous. I know all of us would like to believe the world revolves around us, but the reality is that an MT that questions my corrections or feedback is barely noticed by me.
Just like MTs, our working conditions have deteriorated over the years and the majority of us have the same priorities as MTs, getting the work out the door and keeping the office off our back.

I have had a positive one. I have been with Keystrokes for 3 months and am very happy.
I printed them to show my manager but she told me that there are few bitter people out there and no one can do anything about them. My manager said that everyone can tell that it is the same few over and over again, for Keystrokes and a few other companies as well. Time to move on Ms. Anon. I cannot think why a company would go through the trouble of getting IDs and getting you installed just to ignore you after that. Doesn't make sense, does it? Are you sure that't the whole truth? the positions that had open were not a good match for what she has done. I read her post a few times. It says that her skills do match the opening that she applied for, not that she was a bad Transcriptionist or anything like that. Their question sheet is pretty specific. If she was looking for hours that they did not have available or a type of account that they did not have openings for, that would explain it. At least she heard at all. I applied to at least a dozen companies, many mentioned here often as good or great companies, that never even acknowledged my application or resume. Each experience is obviously different.

I do not know All Type or any of the people involved in this but it have been reading along because I am interviewing with them next week. I was very upset by this and scared that I had made the wrong choice. You have made a lot of statements and I was thinking that you were treated unfairly and that I hoped you proved your case in court and maybe make our place in the industry a little stronger. We are the lowest people on the totem pole in every company and we do get kicked around a lot. But you now sound like you had it in for one particular person at your company and have worked very hard to cause problems for that person. I just do not know why you would stay there or even want to go back if you hate this person and she makes you this unhappy with your life and job and she singled you out to cut your pay so drastically. I agree with the other poster who said you have wasted a great deal of time on this and that you should move on and find yourself a better job with a company that is a better fit for you. I think you have gone too far and become far too emotional when you get this dangerously close to slander.
