I get mine check by mail with no problems
I work for the Q and my checks are mailed to me. They come on time every time. I have never had a late paycheck with them. I have worked for companies who consistently pay late and left because of that, a definite deal breaker for me no matter how good everything else is with the company. One day late and I quit working until check arrives, this from experience with not getting paid at all for two weeks of work at one place. My bills have to be paid on time so payday has to be dependable. I have been messed up by a bank computer glitch with direct deposit twice in the past and that is why I have gone back to having my checks mailed.

regarding retirement? i have been gone 2+ years and wasnt there long enough to get retirement paid in --- anybody have any clue why i would get this? Anybody ELSE who is now a former get this?
My company rocks. Got an E-mail today from our manager about cherry picking (sm)
stating they noticed jobs were getting cancelled once and sometimes twice by same person and that the more difficult dictators were getting picked over. They stated it would not be tolerated and cherry pickers would be addressed and possibly terminated.
I know this is a huge undertaking and may not always get 100% done, but at least they are aware and taking a stand. Perhaps the guilty people will grow up and take the time to learn those dictators now. We all know that some of those horrible ESL say virtually the same thing over and over.
I am just happy that they, once again, prove they are trying to look out for the MTs and MEs and see that we are all treated fairly and equally. I have been very happy with Webmedx up to this point and now even more so.
All the years I worked for MQ, they knew it happened and I don't think made any attempt to address it. At WMX at least they must be monitoring it or they wouldn't know the same person kicked the same job back more than once.

2 years old and it does not have a 9-pin serial port, nor does it have a game port. I have used both ports on other computers so I know what both ports look like. I also have a company provided computer and it does have the ports on it.

I don't post here frequently because so many of the messages are vitrolic and full of negativity and meanness. I think the mindset of today's world is reflective of just the opposite of the life advice given by your mother (and mine, too). So many, not all I know, but so many folks these days seem live their lives based on the belief that they should
-say ugly and hurtful things every chance you get.
-be rude and insensitive each and every day in each and every way.
-it is not necessary for people to like you, just make sure they know (that you believe) they are less that you.
-nothing is private, nothing is sacrosanct. Let it all hang out.
-if you're miserable, do your best to make everybody else miserable, too.
-do all manner of dirt unto others, but become aggrieved and just downright highly pissed if (when) you reap what you have sown, and feel empowered to lash out in any and every way you can.

QAs being cut today
From what i was told they cut 100% of the US based eScription QA force, 75% of the US based SWAT QA force. I was making 6 cpl as a QA on escription, nice first shift M-F job. They offered me 4/8 cpl as an MT 3rd shift in escription or 5 cpl to be QA for a new account on the Dictaphone side, and told me that being they offered me a new position I would not qualify for unemployment.

Well I had an interview today and received a job offer about two hours later. Whoo Hoo! Smaller company but they supply all equipment etc. Tech support, one weekend day a month etc. You never know the whole details until you get started, but at least its something. Money isn't bad either with incentive scale to boot!

One thing you have to realize is Dragon doesn't work efficiently on most platforms. It is great in MSWord, but when you have to type in most if not all these different platforms that are Word-like programs,(these platforms actually pull from your personal Word program) it prints a character at a time, not good! (most of these platforms have all kinds of security and nonmicrosoft programs will not work inside the platform) I can still use mine but I have to open WordPad and speak to that and then copy and paste into the platform program.
There are some who will say you have to tweak it a bit to work in some of these platforms, but you still loose a lot of functionality.
I love this program as it has helped with my carpal tunnel immensely, but don't think for a moment that with this program, once you have it trained you are going to be making big bucks. Yes, you line count will go up a bit and I mean a bit. You are not going to get rich. People need to understand this is not a program where you have very little typing and the money will just roll in. You have to be realistic.

It is refundable after 3 years of employment. If you leave before 3 years you get it back when they receive the equipment back. I received my deposit upon 3 years of employment without having to ask for it. I was pleasantly surprised, figured it would take awhile and need a few emails!
Mine too BUT..
The CEO called me personally and fixed mine as soon as I notified them that this happened. The company had no idea wbout this. They were great! I even sent them proof of fees that I incurred and they reimbursed those too..I am very happy with the fix
