MedScribe in November

In Reply to: I know someone who has been there about - me
I started with Medscribe in November and we began by training on one account before the account we were hired for moved over to the new platform. I trained with 3 other MTs and we all moved on the same day as they said we would and it has been pretty busy since then. My team leader just told us yesterday they are starting a new hospital on Feb 1.

By November 30, all Indian Team Leads will be replaced with a US Team Lead.
We should have seen in coming in November
Remember when we partnered before and there was no work because another company did it all? And no notice, either.
I got the call, too but haven't gotten an e-mail yet about how to view this conference thing tomorrow.
One thing: We have some accounts that REQUIRE that the work by done by U.S. citizens and we be accountable under U.S. law/court system. How are they going to get around that? Some facilities absolutely refuse to off-shore. I myself refuse to go to a facility that off-shores and I ask who does the MT work before I make appointments. I don't know how an India-based company is going to be able to keep those accounts.
I will be there 2 years in November (sm)
I love the people, the platform, the tech support. One of the better decisions I've made in my life to go there. Ditto - you will not regret it.
November slow?
I've only been doing this for 15 years, but have never seen it slow from November through the first of the year. What with flu, skiing injuries and surgeries, overeating at the holidays, etc. Now with all the MRSA (which has probably always been there it is just now coming to the forefront) I have not seen a slowdown ever during this timeframe. Now after the first of the year, yes, when people have to meet a new insurance deductible it will be slow for a bit - but not during the fall/early winter months. Where are you located?
I have worked for them since November
Its a good fit for me. Plenty of work once you get primary AND secondary account. They have improved communication since I started - but there is NOT a QA person 24 hours/day. so you may have to email questions and wait for response or samples. Program/platform is very user friendly, and on my accounts I only get about 30% ESL dictators. No problems with paychecks. Office/admin staff is friendly. They tend to leave you alone to get your work done. Pay is average, 8+ cpl depending on shift. Decent benefit package after 90 days, health insurance, 401K, etc.
I've been with them since November
I know the account I'm on is a permanent account. That's the only one I have direct knowledge of. It's a clinic account, so the work was light at Christmas time and about 2.5 weeks ago when a lot of people were out sick. I had a lot of hoarse dictators the next week. Other than that, I've never really had a problem with lack of work. If we're staying caught up, then by Saturday night and into Sunday the jobs should be done until Monday. A lot of the doctors have been doing catch up work on Saturdays, though, so there's been a lot to do on the weekends lately.
I hope your account evens out. I hate that sinking feeling when there's no production to be had and you're wondering how it's going to affect your next check.
I remember, it was announced in November
The theft was in October and released to the public in November. I didn't follow it so don't know how it all turned out, but here's the link for anyone interested.
I've worked for them since November
I like them. Pay is always on time. People are great. They leave you alone to do your work.
Left Zylo in November. Loved it at first, but
not enough work to maintain 800 lines/day to qualify for employee status. 1000 lines one day, 150 the next. Gave me phone notes which took 2 minutes to download, 8 seconds to type, 1 minutes to upload, and got 2 lines of dictation. 20 reports in 1 hour equalled $3.60. No one else would do them. Kept asking for more work so they switched me around several accounts, then had to learn new account, new supervisor and still not enough work. Finally left. I made $6000 with them as an independent contractor and now have to pay taxes on all of that.
No, they built a new one last year and moved into it in October or November. sm
I think they have a really big office now, from what I heard.
That's MEDSCRIBE, sorry. nm

BEware of Medscribe......... Listen to this.......I've had Susan interviewing and calling me for three months on an Editor position at $17/hr. Well, after being told I did NOT get the job (even tho I was never tested), she had the nerve to call me back a week later and said the job reopened and she wanted me for it. I tried calling her and leaving messages for three days. She never returned my calls. I finally got ahold of her and she had the NERVE to tell me that the original person changed their mind and took back the position? Did anyone ever hear of this? So to all of you out there.......stay clear of Susan!!!!
Medscribe
SM, Yes it is all about me....it is about how all of us as potential hires should be treated. Besides, Ms. L did not even test for the QA position.....so the question is, was there really a position????
Medscribe
No, I'm sure she thinks ONLY about what is good for her not caring about how she plays around with other people. Sorry, but I don't have to take this kind of treatment and let her know it.
Medscribe
They're not the only one I've been working with one here in Canada and the same thing. I thought maybe it was me that was wrong but that's what they did too..mind you we got $1.50 to put up with it and work ha work we did or at least me!!!!
Medscribe
What's the story with these people? I tested before Christmas and never heard back (I know I did well). Today they didn't answer an Email. Should I keep on truckin'?

Things can change a lot in FOUR YEARS. I cannot imagine they would have been able to keep up that practice and still be around today. Maybe a person should simply ask them about the incident four years ago; you'd have nothing to lose and as an applicant, I would think they would HAVE to tell the truth about it. The problem is sometimes just ONE incident can get out of hand, repeated a little differently, and a different story could come out other than the real story. I'm not saying your friend didn't get paid. I'm just saying NO company could get away with this kind of protocol and still be in business.

Medscribe
anyone have a clue why Medscribe is constantly advertising for MTs?
medscribe
I don't know why, but whenever I post about this company it is not able to be found in the archives. I have posted many times about how miserable I was while working there. I didn't trust their line counter but I think worst of all was the way the talked down to me and scolded me for not making line counts which by the way... i normally could do but their accounts are MOSTLY re recorded and very VERY bad ESLs.... on top of a faulty line counter.
Medscribe
I did three weeks with them. Only filling in headers, sent to office where THEY input the macros (which we did not get paid for doing, of course) and I think I averaged about $3 per hr. A friend of mine got stiffed for her paycheck and they got threatened with illegal interstate activity because they were doing their business over state lines via phone. She got her money but it tooks MONTHS. This was a couple of years ago, but I don't think they've changed. Stay away from this place. The owner is a classical jerk.

I am interested hearing about your experiences there. I read the story about the gal who had to sue to get paid, and before I went to work there, I asked about it. They denied it vehemently, but in the proceeding 4-6 months, I had 2 checks that went missing. I really do not know if it was the fault of the post office or not, but I was not impressed. I also am not very impressed by the support system in place at this point, but would rather dish that privately.
I have been considering other employment because I always meet my minimum line count, and my quality scores seem to average in the 98% range, and I rarely take time off, but having only worked for HealthScribe (which I would almost take back right now) and MedScribe, I really don't know what a good company looks like. I am pretty specific at this point about what I want in a company, but it seems like they tell you what you want to hear and is not necessarily true.
Medscribe
Does anyone work for Medscribe and if so, can I get some feedback - considering working with them. Thanks.
Medscribe NY
thanks
MedScribe?
Anybody working for MedScribe? If so, how do you like it?
MedScribe
I have never heard of this company. Where are they located?
Hope you find out the information that you need.

medscribe NJ
I would if i did have some!
medscribe NJ
Does anyone have info on medscribe out of NJ? there seems to be one in Florida but would really like to know if anyone has experience with medscribe in NJ. Thank you in advance.
medscribe
Wow. I was just about to apply because their ad sounded good. I read the archives and realize I sidestepped a mess. I want to thank all of you for coming together and sharing your experiences so that others are forewarned.
medscribe?
Archives stuff is old, old. Sounds good - 12 hour time period to work. Please, anyone know anything?
MedScribe
MedScribe does only pays between 7 and 7.5 cpl full-time IC. There is an incentive bonus plan in place (if you are full-time) where if you fullfull all of your line commitments it is another 0.08 cpl, and they will place an additional 0.05 cpl for CMT status.
MedScribe
A family policy will run you more like $195 per week (dental and vision extra)for the $500 deductable plan.
I like it at MedScribe
So far so good, little over 6 months. Happy with the line rate and the insurance, my supervisor is very nice too. They must have added some accounts because I have heard they are hiring right now. I have not worked for the other 2 companies you mentioned, but did come from a rather big company and I like that I can call MedScribe and reach someone. Hope that helps.
MedScribe
Hello. Does anyone know if MedScribe in Jacksonville, FL, is a good company to work for? Also, on another note, have "they" decided to drop the hypen from "well-developed, well-nourished?" Thanks. LLD
I have been with MedScribe
they have been a fine company to work for. I liked the training and support from my supervisor is professional. I also came from a previous company that issued checks, so now having direct deposit is a blessing in my life. They are OK by me, I hope that helps. Good luck to you. Karen.
Medscribe FL
Anyone willing to share Medscribe's acute care line rate and what their average LPH are working at Medscribe? Thanks.
MedScribe
I started with MedScribe about 7 months ago and so far so good. They have a 12-hour window to do your work within, but that is for acute care work only I was told. The sign-on bonus is paid out $100 a pay period once you get out of training and up to speed, so that was nice too. I have seen emails where they are starting a new hospital account, maybe they are hiring. Hope that helps.
Medscribe
Sorry for the confusion. I should have been more careful before posting. It is Medscribe, FL.
MedScribe
I started with them almost a year ago, platform is easy to learn and you can use normals and templates for ERs, plus you are paid for all of them. I have the healthcare only, did not take the dental or vision as I pay that myself, but the medical is a nice policy.
MedScribe
Very happy there and like the flexibility. Hope this helps.
Medscribe FL - please
any relatively recent comments. ** I KNOW** I can search archives, but I would like some fresh input. Thanks in advance.
I have been with MedScribe for
I always have work in my account pool, they are super friendly and I like the direct deposit every other Friday. Big difference from chasing checks where I came from. I may also add you do not need a second phone line, the platform is all Internet. Karen.
MedScribe ER
The platform is easy to learn and the training is very good. I type ERs and they do ask for a schedule, but they worked with my needs and we came up with something that worked for both of us and I am quite happy. Benefits are about $37 a week and they are good, very low deductable. Pay is direct deposit and I have had plenty of work, good line count. I use InstaText and it converted right over so that made me happy too. Good luck, I hope that helps.
MedScribe
for me, I like the people and my primary gives me a good line count. Insurance is not too expensive and we get paid vacation and holiday pay. Good luck in your search.
MedScribe is 35 hrs

MedScribe IC
I think it is only the IC contracts, we have 20% of our contract on weekends, anytime. The remainder can be done during the week. Plenty of work, we have a national account that adds new hospitals and I know they are hiring. Nice people in the Jax office if you ever need help with your computer or anything.
MedScribe FL
Can you tell the usual - good/bad experiences? I appreciate all input. Thanks!
Medscribe FL MTs
Can you tell me if weekend work is required at Medscribe as well as any other info like flexibility with hours, etc? TIA.
Medscribe, FL
Can anyone tell me about Medscribe, FL and their ER accounts ASAP as I am about to sign on with them. Mainly my question is do they pay on time, are they a good company, the usual questions. I really do not want to jump out of the frying pan into the fire. Anything helpful. Thanks
MedScribe
I do not know about the family, but I have the individual, it is from Aetna and is about $37 per week. Only a $500 yearly deductable and also includes a prescription card. I like my account, I am on a level 2 acute care hospital. Mostly ER reports but I also get some DS and consults. The people there are very nice and the pay is direct deposit every 2 weeks. So far so good and alot better than where I came from, it's nice to work for a smaller company for a change. I received a sign-on bonus when I started so you should ask if they still offer that, it was paid out $100 per pay once you are out of review. That really helped my Christmas last year. Good luck to you.
