Keystrokes/medquist radiology
I am looking for a new position as a rad transcriptionist. Does anyone work rad on Keystrokes or medquist. What are minimum production requirements? Are they easy to meet? Do they let MT's go that fail to meet them?

Going from MedQuist to Spheris
I did and I couldn't be happier! I was miserable at MQ. No work, crappy accounts, switching back and forth on different accounts I was not familiar with. Supervisors unavailable, the list goes on and on. I am very happy at Spheris. I make almost double what I did at MQ! Great account, supervisor is great. I know others are not so happy at Spheris, but I am. I was at MQ for over 6 years. Have been with Spheris 2-1/2 years now.
Webmedx vs Medquist vs MTC
I'm trying to decide between jobs with these three companies Webmedx vs Medquist vs MTC...radiology. Just wondering if anyone has input to help in my decision. Thanks!

Medquist versus Spheris
I worked for MQ for 6 years. I was not a very happy camper most of that time. I was afraid somewhere else might be worse! Communication was bad, rental fee every month on computer, very disorganized in all aspects. Now, I've been at Spheris only 3 weeks but I can see a great difference. Very well organized, detail oriented. My supervisor does NOT call me if I am away from the computer 5 minutes or more. I think I will be very happy with Spheris. I also love the idea of changing accounts to a higher level and getting paid more for harder accounts--you won't find that at Medquist!

Those are about the only companies I know that use dial-up unless things have changed. Good luck!
Transcend vs Medquist vs Spheris
I could really use some advice. I'm new here and a relatively new MT. I'm a CMT with only about 8 months exp. I accepted a job with Transcend last week with a good cpl rate. I'm in training now. I'm a little worried b/c I'm hearing mixed reviews about the company and how they are going to all edit...
Anyway, Medquist has offered me a job, but the cpl rate is 2 cents less than what Transcend is giving me. I'm not happy about that. If you were in my position, would you stay with Transcend or go to Medquist?
Also, I got an email today from Spheris that they want to interview me. I don't know what the cpl rate is yet. I have heard good things about them. Should I accept with them?
I'm so confused. I don't want to burn my bridges with Transcend b/c what if they turn out to be a decent company? I am getting a good rate with them. But Spheris seems really appealing to me...
Any advice??
Medquist versus Spheris
So, do Medquist and Spheris both send work to India? Yikes- I am trying to avoid applying for work with a company that is pro offshoring. Any ideas of a good company to work for? I have 10 years multispecialty experience, not enough work, already with a small pro-India company who takes away from the Americans and gives the accounts to India employees, trying to get more work with a new company.

Do you have to maintain X number of lines per hour to qualify or just X number of lines per payperiod? Is the family coverage affordable and decent insurance?

Did they not hire you? Do you have the right experience? If so, that's where I would go.

Well since MT stars is global you will see Spheris, Medquist, Diskriter, etc. posts sm
so if your going to be unemployed because of offshoring that is to bad. The majority always think of India when it comes to offshore but the Philippines, Australia, Europe, etc. also transcribes.

I posted before but got nada. Can ANYONE?? please give me some information about Webmedx and their radiology accounts before I jump ship with my current MTSO and go with them? I'd really appreciate it.

Could you let me know if you have enough work and a ballpark figure on what I can expect to make per line/report with them? Also, do you have to work strictly certain hours or do they go by lines? Is it possible to make $600 weekly? I hear a lot of good things about them and I am thinking of applying. TIA

Please email me with your experience as a rad MT with this company. Is pay per line, report, etc. What platforms they use. By looking at their website, it looks like they don't offshore. Please, any information would be helpful.

I can tell you for a fact that Transtech is a great company. I'm very happy there. Going on 2 years.

Are all of the dictators ESL as in the test on the website? If you sign on as a radiology MT are you still allowed a 12-hour window. Has workload been fairly consistent? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I took the test and would like some info before I am contacted. TIA.

Spheris and Webmedx
They both require a deposit that is taken out of your first few checks, and you must keep the box to return the computer when you leave the company. Don't know if either of them is hiring right now though.

Close associate used to work for them. Very dissatisfied she moved on to Webmedx where things are even worse. I don't know that any of these companies are worth working for.

Having worked for Spheris before, I'd vote for Webmedx.
I tried to get on with them, but I was working three part-time IC jobs at the time so I couldn't get their test files completed on time. I got maybe two hours of sleep three nights in a row because I had so much work dumped on me. Blown chance! I wish I'd blown off the IC jobs and finished the test instead. The test reports were easy enough for me to do. I asked for an extension on the test due date, but never heard back from them. I understand their need for TAT, but they have to realize that it's tough to squeeze testing into an already overloaded schedule. I'd much rather work one steady job than three IC contracts.

Can anyone give me current information on working as a QA for TransHealth, Transsolutions, DSG, Webmedx, and Spheris? Do they pay hourly? How do they test? Employee or IC positions? Workflow? Do they require 100% listen on all reports or are some fill in the blanks?
Are there any companies you would recommend for a QA position and can you please provide above-requested info?

I left EDiX/Spheris after 8 years there to come to Webmedx. SM
I moved over here in 2003 because I knew the recruiter and she told me it was a great place to work. She was right. The benefits are fair, the work plentiful, the bosses fantastic, and the QA staff wonderful. Good luck!
