I know that there are at least 2 more in the works, being converted over. How do I know? I am the lead on one of them and have been involved with the conversion for the past 3 weeks.

The only people who know would be KB, LT and PG for sure as they handle sales and operations.

It happened quickly and was unexpected but it was really for the best. Keystrokes does not string people along or lie to you. After being with MQ for too long, I am happy there, although it is not for everyone.

I really would give them a call as the other poster suggested. That whole situation was a nightmare for everyone including management but the account pulled a fast one on them.

I have the facts on this because I have a good friend at the hospital and what she told me matched what my manager did.

I know that they are trying to give more when so many companies are giving less and taking away more.
I just asked. We do get paid for spaces. If QA said that, they are wrong.

the posting that he is a criminal, steals $$, threatens lawsuits against MTs, and more. Geez back at ya! Can't you figure out that posting the wrong guy in with this mess may tarnish the wrong person's reputation? So you thought he was a salesman, your opinion. But you opened your mouth and inserted the WRONG PERSON in this thread, and others then knew who YOU were talking about and assumed you had to know what you were talking about, or why would ANYONE post something so horrible about someone? Read names more carefully next time. There were far more than a few letters off for to you arrive at your wrong conclusion - the entire last name was wrong. And yes, some people do value their reputations, especially when their livelihood depends on it. Seems these days our reputations are about all most of us have left.

If I was a person who you were unable to offer a position then how would I know that you often misspell and use words incorrectly in your emails and IMs? I am not the person you think I am.

I did not say anything about your work. Just offering a kind suggestion to you so that you are aware of the misspellings and misused words. It does not look very professional and does not give MTs much faith in QA when the person heading the QA team has trouble spelling simple words.

I have worked for them for years and they are not offshore. The only people that are offshore is team leads. The Office is located in Massachusetts so your facts are dead wrong, look it up. The corporate staff is US based and they are owned by a US based company Nuance so another fact that you got wrong. Another fact you got wrong is that yes, you were paid way too much because you kept working all the overtime you could on your hourly job taking work away from regular QCs. There is no counting days because they are owned by a US based company that now owns te two biggest MT software platforms in the country, so I think we are pretty safe. Who cares if the SWAT team was laid off. What the heck di they do anyway? I hadn't heard of tem till now. And to my knowledge werent you offered another positon before you took the lay off? This company did not offshore and will never offshore. Look it up before you start posting wrong info on this forum!

Let them know. It is worth it to be persistent, especially with the new accounts. I have been there a while and have been through many changes. Unlike other companies, Keystrokes' changes benefit the employees, not take things away. Every change has been positive, just part of the growth. The longer I am with them, the more I am convinced that I will retire there. Hopefully in 5 years as these fingers are getting old and tired!

We get NO -- zilch -- paid holidays.  If you work any holiday, that is correct about the line count pay.  Usually the lwork is very low by the time a holiday rolls around, and not much to be found on the actual holiday.  They really pump up the MT's to work before the holidays so that they won't have to pay the time and a half for the holiday, plus doctors lots of the time take off, so no or low work.

Wrong. The person who was fired this week was from Keystrokes. I just got an email

from someone asking if was me posting here tonight, so I came to look.   I agree with a lot that the poster has to say but I post my name when I post.  Anyone who knows me or of me knows this.  I do not have to post behind anonymous names nor do I. 


I do disagree with some of what this poster says though and will take a moment to tell her/him something:  You chose to run a service and knew or should have known what you were getting into.  If you are doing all that, you should either hire more people or hire different people.  The best move I ever made as a service owner was learning to delegate and hiring the right people including Human Resources, Accounting, Operations, QA, Recruiting and IS.  (The second best move I ever made was to stop letting the posts on the MTStars and others affect me).  Best advice I could give a service owner is to cough up the money for a good staff; it is worth it in the long wrong although hard in the short term.


While not everyone agrees with me or likes me or wants to work with Keystrokes, I do not feel a need to hide behind the anonymous nature of these boards and would rather have people know where I stand than wonder.


You would also know that I value our transcriptionists and know that as a company, Keystrokes constantly tries to improve.  If you know me at all or anything about Keystrokes, you would also know that our rates are going up not down and we do not undercut prices to beat our competitors. 


If anyone has anything to say to me directly, please use my email.  I do not visit here often anymore and do not plan on starting again as it gets a bit addicting :)

ALWAYS had work.  It is slower now, probably because of new hires, but we've been busting *ss for 4 months+ now and I'm enjoying a slack time.  I'm still getting my lines and often get extra.

How are you privy to know amount she was sued for?
I might be wrong, and I keep up with these posts and never saw before the $$$ amount GP was sued for. Very interesting- sounds almost like she could have written this.
I too have asked for a different account as mine of 3 years..sm
has now consistently been out of work...as well as my secondary! Up until recently I never even had time to do my secondary as my primary had tons of work but suddenly neither have. I have emailed Dorothy and indicated I needed more only to be told things will pick up. This is not a holiday thing as it has been happening for months now. I am looking for at least another part-time job which may turn into full time. I think we are getting the run-around and they have over hired and want to keep it that way so the reports are running a few minutes behind the dictators. Also, now that they have over hired they probably don't care too much if some of us have to leave! Bad situation for what was a great company.

Sounds strange to me.. They would make me nervous as that should be the first thing they discuss.. or at least that is what I would want to know right off before I wasted my time with them.

If you were running an MTSO and/or answering to venture capitalists, you'd be shopping the "past expiration date" meat section for your daily protein allowance. Try it, you probably won't like it.

Transcend ER account...any information...

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the ER account out of California that Transcend is hiring for.  I was thinking of applying, but was wondering what I might be getting into.  Thanks. 


Hmmm...wonder what account you are on..my QA is great..what was wrong, which report,what I put and
what it should have been.  I've no complaints at all about this company.  The account is picky but that is not Amphion, that is their client.  Besides, that what  I get paid to do.  To each their own I guess.

WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! We turn down work because so many hospitals are sm
calling wanting a company that keeps work in the USA. The trend was stronger a few years ago before it all came to light about poor quality, the woman in Pakistan who threatened to post medical records on the web, 911, etc. There are hospitals who look for US-only and they are the MAJORITY not the minority. Definitely seeing the tide turn on offshore from an MTSO perspective, both MTs and customers!!!!!
When they called me and I asked them if they offshored, they asked me why that was my business!

I printed them to show my manager but she told me that there are few bitter people out there and no one can do anything about them. My manager said that everyone can tell that it is the same few over and over again, for Keystrokes and a few other companies as well. Time to move on Ms. Anon. I cannot think why a company would go through the trouble of getting IDs and getting you installed just to ignore you after that. Doesn't make sense, does it? Are you sure that't the whole truth? Sad but true. You're asked to work NOW, then asked to stop NOW, then go again and then stop
If you dont get off the minute the hospital asks, even if you have no idea that they have requested that your to be off, then the hospital MTs steal your work right out of your queue and I mean reports you have already done. I dont understand the concept of having a contract with a hospital and then having to fight for work with the hospital MTs. We should have guaranteed work during our shift and enough of the the hospital wants you to help right now and then a few hours later they want us to stop working as the work is too low. It is crazy and I couldnt work like that so I had to quit.

Anyone with information on this company? 


That account in Texas was not a MQ account. They did not use DQS on that account until KS started.
They are moving 3 other accounts to DQS between now and January 1st. I asked. The MQ accounts they have gotten in the past did not go to DQS. I followed my old account, which is how I know, and it was Meditech. The account is still run by KS and is a big account too.
Repeatedly told another new account would come soon, but it never did. In fact, our slow account is.
everyone else's backup account. What a disorganized mess.
Then when we MT's are **thrown on** an account because of lack of work on our account

What is so hard to understand about that? 


Then we have that account info filed away in a folder in our Outlook Express by name of account and can look at past emails sent out regarding that account.  Not fun to be tossed on an account that you have never seen NOR ever received an email on.  Sounds like business to me.
