for someone who says they are not trying to be snotty
I want to apologize for coming across as sounding snotty. However, I have been in this business MANY years and the way that I see it is that a lot of people want EVERYTHING, benefits, excellent pay, etc., but they don't want to be willing to work for it. Most medical transcription companies have problems with weekend coverage because of the fact that too many MTs feel that their family obligations come first. Hospitals operate 24/7 and on weekends and holidays, and the MTSO or company expects that an MT will provide the same amount of coverage.
FN also offers bonuses for working weekends and holidays. I work part-time for another service who doesn't offer such a thing.
I have read job posts and generally, if a company does not mention DD, then it is usually not offered.
As I said before in my original post, its a matter of personal choice.
Hey snotty person
Someone was talking about it yesterday you bitch.
About how we can't celebrate it anymore fuckface.
I did not think your reply was snotty at all....sm
I do agree with you that eventually we are probably going to have to just accept this as a sign of the changing times in this industry. One by one, it just seems that all the companies are going this route, whether we like it or not. Really not much we can do.
for somone who says they are not trying to be snotty
your first three emails sure came across snotty. Get a grip.
LOL okay....you must be extremely insecure to think that was snotty
??
Thank you, I get tired of snotty answers too

It's Arrogant, NOT
Snotty or chrarming recruiter--irrelevan, right?.
After all, you're looking for a job, not a new friend, and anyway, you'll never talk to the recruiter again once you're hired. If you were interested in the position, go back. It costs you a phone call, right?
For others looking, keep your eyes on the prize. There are a probably a lot of brusque recruiters out there these days.
Oh please!! You really are arrogant aren't you?
A LOT of positions don't pay much more than 7.5 cpl for clinic notes no matter how much experience/knowledge you have and some are even less. YES, OP notes should be paid at a higher rate.
I didn't mean to be arrogant.....sm
and if I came off that way, then I apologize.
Still, I don't think all of my comments are wrong. I do believe that MTs will always have jobs, but those jobs are everchanging. I, too, had my own service for about 8 years and it was technology that ended that for me, not because I would not keep up but because I could not finacially keep up with the changes.
I offered suggestions to try to help you see that maybe you could make some changes on your end to help your situation, but you have not even commented or responded to those. It appears to me that you don't want help but rather just want to sit on the pitty pot and everyone to feel sorry for you. I'm sorry if that is arrogant and blunt and hurtful, but that is what I see from where I sit. I am sorry that you are in the situation that you are in.
What's arrogant is your assuming that other MTs in a bad
situation with this company are there because they've somehow not kept up with the times and have become dinosaurs. I'm on ASR, I'm certified out the wazoo, I to go the conventions, I am active in the industry. Guess what? No dinosaur here, and my job has changed for the worse. I've done literally everything I can do to climb in this company and make more money, and it's been impossible so far. My pay isn't climbing either. When it comes down to where the rubber meets the road, the fact is I need an income that brings in enough money to meet my bills. If I'm doing everything right here and it's not, then the problem lies with the company. The timing of when to leave is the dilemma. Things can get better at companies, but if they do, sometimes it takes years. Sometimes they never get better.
Why do these companies tolerate the arrogant,
nasty technicians/programmers that are supposed to be helping keep us up and operating, but instead think they are doing us a favor by fixing their problems, usually problems created by their own incompetence? Is this just a bluster to cover up for their inadequate personalities and their lack of ability? This used to be the tactic the quack doctors used to make their patients think they were great. How many more MTs does a company have to lose because the equipment is always down, no communication when it it goes down or comes back up, just an attitude of I am better than you and you will just have to keep trying every 10 minutes (at no cost to the company) to see if it is fixed.
Customer satisfaction is always listed as a company priority. From what my husband has told me about management, employees are also customers, but the way these rude donkeys treat us, there sure is not going to be any satisfaction with a job, so people just keep looking for a better company, one that will at least communicate and make the techs have a decent attitude or fire them.
How arrogant. I have been doing this for 20+ years and have no idea what your 10-key skills sm
is a reference to. Throwing little code phrases out that mean nothing to the vast majority of MTs as a measurement of MT skills does not help your point of view at all.
Their head tech is very arrogant and good
