I know a lot of people who work there and love it, and that says more than the Q. I gave notice to my PS at MQ 3 weeks ago to start at another company but they did not get back to me after repeated calls. KS sent an email, called me and I start in the morning. They already set up my computer today. I am glad I made the move.
With the attitude of the OP, they probably tossed her resume into a compost heap!

Starting with Webmedx Monday - computer not delivered yet and tomorrow the 4th. (sm)
Does anybody know if they deliver on Saturdays and/or holidays. I sure don't want to have to reschedule my training as I have already quit my other job. Not sure if it is coming UPS or FedEx, could check their web sites but don't have a tracking number.

Maybe what you wanted and what they had were two different things. This board cracks me up. People act as though they are entitled to a job just because they apply. I am grateful that they called as I am the victim, yes victim, of offshore transcription. The company I gave 5 good years to dumped us all flat when they sold out.
This is happening to me now, due to start tomorrow
with a new IC company paying 4/7 that ignored me once I was told I was hired. After two weeks and my prompting, I am scheduled to start tomorrow. I've yet to get a login or any information. I had decided to take the job mostly to get more updated experience on a new specialty account and hopefully make a bit more money. I'm not so sure about them now. Does the company you are talking about start with a D?

I start w/ Keystrokes Monday after
7 1/2 years with MQ, and am way excited to have ONE account, to be no longer drowning in the cesspool!! Anyone thinking about MQ, better keep thinking. Better yet, start RUNNING the other way, fast.

Usually it takes about two weeks allowing for an MT to give notice, our equipment to be shipped out, and you to be trained on the platform. Please call me at the office tomorrow if you are available immediately and I'll see if we can "rush it up". I'd call the recruiter tomorrow and ask what the
deal is. If you need $$ now waiting until 9/1 isn't helping and my the time you go through interviews/testing with other companies it will be about 9/1. They are hiring lots of people and I'm sure things are chaotic and you might fall through the cracks.
You may want to call and ask them directly on Monday...
but I believe it depends on the way you were hired. If you are an hourly employee, your PTO would be paid at that rate. If you are production based, your PTO rate is paid at your average production over a period of three months. You must maintain a minimum line count though. Rochelle would know better.

I would give them a call. That happened to me when I started over a year ago. They were supposed to call on a certain day and they didn't. I waited a couple days, called them and they said they would get back to me that afternoon and they did.
I plan to call tomorrow for my password and I'll ask then.

The IDs were sent back from the hospital but only one part of them. I have been on the account for 2 days and it is great. HBO Star and lots of volume and good dictators except one or two. Call and ask if the IDs are ready. There are a bunch of new accounts starting at the same time. They pulled me from my primary to help until the other IDs are in, so they are definitely needing you on there. You will love the KS rad department; I have been with them for 4 years and every year it gets better!

Start with a phone call! sm
Call the offices or clinics, ask for the office manager, and ask about their transcription status. Go from there. You just may end up "in the right place at the right time".
It takes lots of energy and motivation, but it is well worth it.
Also, you must keep your promises to them to succeed. If you say you will have the work back in 24 hours, you must have the work back in 24 hours, etc. It is very important to be honest with your clients. They are frustrated just as much as we MTs are with the lack of honesty and integrity throughout this industry.

IMHO, my objection to CBay is simply part of a bigger picture of the problems in this country. In my gut and my honest opinion, it'll take a while but more American jobs WILL eventually be lost with CBay owning MedQuist.
We don't need to be a country of consumers -- we need to be the producers like we used to be. That is where we had the edge. We are really starting to feel the impact of the work leaving our country big time, as well as our dependence on foreign oil. We had 3 pages of foreclosure notices in our newspaper today. How sad.
In the long run and the big picture, this is very scarey for the future of our country. Many people (absolutely, certainly not everyone) in the Good Ol' USA need to learn how to work hard and take pride in their work again!! Work smarter AND harder. We need to stand up and make our elected officials do what has to be done.
Hopefully we can start to get back there. We have to start fighting back somewhere ... it won't be easy and it won't be PC .. but our country is in trouble. We need to stand up and be heard.
I am gradually getting to buying American-made only. It means I buy less for sure, but, I feel it is important.
And, I personally don't want to work for a foreign-owned entity. JMHO.
If we don't do something as individuals and a nation, we won't be a free country that much longer. Things are just out of balance.
Sorry if this offends anyone, it is just my opinion.

I'm sorry, but as a recruiter it's hard to believe that a company looks at your testing and assumes that you'll buy in to what they're selling before having a long discussion between the two of you. Something's fishy here.

because I would think a new person would be busy, but due to getting used to the account might not be producing a lot. I'd rather hear from a person who has been there a while.

I was hired and during training realized what a huge mistake I'd made. The software is really outdated and complicated, and there was a lot of miscommunication and misinformation from the start. I didn't have a good experience with the gal who hired me either. Strange to be treated like a number before you're even out of the honeymoon stage of employment!

They emailed me and wanted to know why I left and if I would consider coming back to work for them. I emailed her back with a long list of reasons, never heard back. That was a few years ago. Hey, if they offered me 12 cents I would have gone back, LOL.

Were you working through information on their website? All the info about the computer specs are there as well as the application and your shift preferences.
I didn't have the call but have had "calls" before.

At least in my phone call, they tried to say that they conducted a survey of MTSOs and determined that we were way overpaid, so in doing the global calibration, they have determined that we won't be hurt too badly. While no specific mention was made of VR, I'm wondering if that's going to be plummeting down to the 2 cents that we thought must be a joke in a prior posting.

I thought the test was very easy. I've got 18-years of experience, sent a cover letter (that I spent an hour on) in addition to my resume and got not response whatsoever. The least an MTSO could do is say, Thanks, but no thanks. Daily applications, cover letters, and testing without so much as an email is beyond frustrating!

I called and called and e-mailed my STM. When that got no
results I went over her head. Got another account, but with 3 accounts still not enough work to get in more than 20 hours/week. I worked a shift that was part 2nd/part 3rd. Some days OT was offered, but then there wouldn't be work the next day.
