It has been my experience as an MTSO that IF we overhire it is because we are looking for a handful of RESPONSIBLE MTs out there that will work their shifts and be available during their chosen working hours. I found that too many MTs take advantage of working at home and disappear for many days at a time. May I ask how as an MTSO are we supposed to know when you will decide to grace us with your presence and do a little work?
There are those who do very well at MT. They are the ones who are responsible, reliable, work their shift when they say they are going to, are willing to pick up the slack when other MTs are nowhere to be found. There are TAT to meet. We MUST keep the client happy or that client will go away.
BTW, those threatening to quit. You probably won't be missed as much as you think you're going to be!
As a former MTSO, every bit of money I made went right back into the company. No raises for me or the office staff, same bennies as I offered everyone else. No big house, no fancy cars, no jets. Some of you folks need to quit whining and find another profession.
