I know what you mean. A good friend of mine and one of the best MTs in the whole world just lost her house to foreclosure. Of course, California real estate was screwed up to begin with, but it was very traumatic for her. She ended up going bankrupt and everything and it just broke my heart because she is a nice gal and did not do anything to deserve that. I give thanks for the work I do have (on my filler job) and just pray for each and every MT out there. UC Medical Center (where I worked for many years) is going through many job cuts right across the board from the top brass down to the cleaning staff. It is just a mess. I am glad I no longer work there and I feel sorry for the people who do. Their future is very uncertain right now. Many of my former colleagues have left the profession completely. I often tell people that I am going to become a fry cook and they think I am kidding but I am not.
