I disagree - MDI has been the absolute best place I've ever worked....there is no comparison. I've been there 4 years and have had no complaints. The low workload is part of the industry, but that is easily solved with a part-time position elsewhere to tide things over. Good luck to all MDIers everywhere.

Not overrated at all
MDI is not overrated at all. I have never been treated more like a person by a company who cared for its employees more. It is only my hope and prayer that this may continue as the time grows closer to Transcend and MDI to merge.
No, it was not overrated at all
It was wonderful and caring. That is the why so many people are so upset. MDI was the last place in the world that we thought would do this. And yes, it IS their right to do it, but it still hurts. But the old MDI is no more, and I will miss it!
Because it gives your a$$ a paycheck!! Joy is overrated...sm
Why don't you ask one of the millions unemployed at Christmas how joyful is was not being able to provide toys or even clothes and food for their families at Christmas?
You might find some joy serving the homeless in a soup kitchen...or at least a reality check.
