Keystrokes has new insurance (finally) that is reasonable and good coverage. sm

In Reply to: How much are single insurance rates???? Webmedx, Axolotl, Keystrokes, TT, Transend? - keep on learning

The cost for a single person is $404 per month but they pay 1/2, so it is $202 or $101 per pay check (1st and 15th). I received my papers and card and rx card last week and the coverage is better than the BCBS that I had with others. $20 per visit co-pay, instead of $50.

BC/BS - single is reasonable and good coverage...
Family is outrageously expensive. I know they are trying to change it, but still expensive.
What about Keystrokes insurance, is it reasonable?
nm
Welcome to Keystrokes :-) I have single coverage on the insurance sm

so I cannot really answer your question about the family plan, but no one had responded, so I at least wanted to say hello.  I have medical ($1000 deductible), vision, and dental for $129.86 per pay period for single coverage.  I'm glad you cleared that up about the license thing because that threw me!  (smile).

I do not know what the percentage of ESLs is on my acccount.  It is a Meditech/C-phone count, and the lines are not really difficult to obtain.  The only problem I have is me ... can't seem to find my focus lately.  :(

Good luck!

Keystrokes' insurance was not canceled. They are looking for better rates and coverage sm
in more states as Unicare is not in every state. I have Unicare with them and while it is a little on the high side IMO, it is less than what my husband's non-MT job offers for our family of 5.

They are not working on it long after their insurance is canceled. They are working to change, which can be done at any time although preferably at the beginning of a year or quarter.

And by the way, your grapevine is not that great. You should check facts before posting something that makes it look like they don't have any insurance.
The current insurance is not bad. The coverage is decent, and they pay which is good. sm
I actually hope that they don't change, but I know that it is a big hassle for the office because they are in the middle. Too big to be individual coverage rates and too small for the best rates. I talked with the HR manager, and she told me that the rates they were given for one company tripled once all the worksheets were in. They based the price on the worst case scenario or worst health. Now they can get a flat rate but only if half of the FT employees sign up. I could here the frustration in her voice when I was talking to her. Insurance companies do not always play fair.
It is finally in place June 1st. It is reasonable and sm
really good. My sister has had it for yours and says Guardian is better than BCBS.
Is OSI's the cost family coverage fairly reasonable or sky-high? nm

Would ya'll say that Medware's family ins coverage is relatively reasonable cost-wise? nm

companies with reasonable insurance
... but not enough to have my premiums double from one payday to the next.  Surely there are companies still with reasonable insurance.  I get it that everything is going up everywhere but please if you have information on companies wtih still reasonable rates I need to know.
Is Transtech's insurance reasonable?

Axolotl insurance is very reasonable. Unfortunately, I did not pass the testing with 14 years exp.
I'm not sure what my problem was. I thought the transcription testing was easy but apparently my headphones are just an awful quality because I just did not hear what it actually was on some parts of the test.  In any event, obviously people have and do pass their tests. I was in the same situation. I needed affordable insurance and Axolotl was very reasonable, I want to say like $300 a month for family so I was pretty bummed when I did not pass the test but best wishes on whatever you decide.
Keystrokes: How reasonable do you think

it would be to expect this:  We require a minimum of 1200 lines per day.  This must be achieved within 1 week of starting on an account. For radiology accounts, we require a minimum of 120 reports per day.  I ask how reasonable due to the fact of learning a new account, a new platform in all probability, getting down the account specs for each and every account if in a pool, entering with each report POSSIBLY new short cuts/macros if current Expander does not work with their system, loading of demographics in particular or whether they populate, and all the things, including ESLs, that impact production especially when starting over.

Keystrokes states nothing about a training period before starting on an account.  Any current Key Strokes employees want to comment?

I did not take the insurance coverage - already had it. nm

Did MDI-FL ever change their insurance coverage? SM
I was told by the owner several months ago that she was looking for a cheaper policy for their medical coverage.
Health Insurance Coverage
Anyone know of any companies that offer health insurance with a company other than Aetna.  Aetna is probably great insurance for most people but almost no preferred providers in my area.  Would like to find Blue Cross and Blue Shield or United Health Care.
group insurance usually has a broader coverage
than individual, or so I have been told.
Axolotl insurance. They have great rates but what is the coverage
like?  Can anyone tell me what insurance company they use and what your experience has been?  TIA
Webmedx insurance question - coverage for self and spouse? (sm)

I saw posts regarding 1,000 and 2,000 deductible.  Is this the difference between BCBS gold and silver plan?  Also do they have a category for just yourself and spouse  or is it just family.  Since family could include umpteen children, I would think there would be a cheaper class for just you and spouse?

Not eligible for quite a while and haven't receive info yet from company. Just trying to make sure this will work for us or if I need to seek different employment.  We will be needing me to cover us as hubby is retiring soon.

TIA

Re MedScribe in Fla. Can anyone share insurance info for emp/spouse coverage? SM

I am especially interested in rate, copays, deductible, and prescription coverage, if possible.  Thanks very much!

Does anyone know what DeVenture offers in terms of insurance for famly coverage, costwise?
Thanks
Any companies offer part-timers chance to buy into group insurance? need coverage ....

I've been looking at prices for solo medical insurance and while I can probably afford some coverage, I'm feeling rather paranoid about having insurance canceled if I actually get sick -- I'm fairly ignorant about what protections may have been passed and may just be responding to other people's horror stories.

Anyway, I'm not entirely sure I want to work full time for any of the nationals ... they seem to have gotten awfully rigid wrt daily line counts within certain fixed hours ... some days I'm simply creaky and hate feeling pressured ... so part time to start seems more reasonable than jumping in with both feet.  Any infor or recommendations appreciated ...

Thanks!

How is the single coverage/premium at Keystrokes
nm
I feel the same way!!! I love Keystrokes...I have finally found my fit....
I type Ortho and absolutely love it!!!
RAD MTS-good pay finally

Just got put on an acct for 9 cents per gross line plus $1.00 per report, did not know how it would work out because by other account pays 14.5 cpl.  Well, let me tell you I am making 10-13 dollars more per hour, what about that!!!!

Thanks! Finally, some good news
.
Dental is thru Metlife (good coverage). sm
Platform is their own, uses ShortHand for expander.
The new insurance is very reasonable. I pay $200/month and they pay $200/month. sm
Unfortunately, I have had to use it a lot since it changed and I am very happy. They have covered everything.

The insurance is actually $80 cheaper per month than I paid at the local hospital, which is a large employer.

I've had a lot of bad ones...finally found one that's pretty good sm
It is a struggle though!! I have worked for several that stunk up the place!! LOL Been cheated on line counts, etc. My best advice is to see if there are any companies near you, smaller, home-based MTSOs who have fewer employees. A way where you can actually get to know your employer. I found one not far from my house who advertised on Craigslist and she has been pretty good to work with.
Mine through them is Blue Cross PPO. Very good coverage.
I don't know if they offer other options or not.
Thanks.. I really needed to have good family coverage.. I guess MDI is out for me.. nm
nm
No, not Humana. It's First Health. Pretty good coverage.
x
Fairly flexible but they do like a schedule. Insurance is good. Benefits are good in my opinion.

For the past week, work has been a little slower but I think that is common in every company..some days busy and other not.

Spheris supes/QA are good, insurance not good; they offshore
nm
U.S. only, very steady work, some VR, good pay, good insurance, no PT, schedule. sm
That should cover it!
insurance Keystrokes

You might want to check it out because I don't think KS is offering benefits any longer, I believe after the first of the year they went to IC status only.  But it could be a case-by-case basis, who knows.

I work for TransHealth and they have pretty good benefits, medical, life, dental and vision, PTO, sick days, and paid holidays, and direct deposit, and they do not hold anything back or do you have to wait to get paid like you do with some companies you have to wait a month before you get your first paycheck, or 3 weeks, with TH, I was paid like 10 days later for training, as well as, my money was in the bank when they said it was going to be there.  I like TH very much, nice company to work, for me.  TH is looking for MTs and I think they had a QA opening as well.  I would apply to TH if you need benefits.  Mine are very inexpensive, and there was no waiting period either, I started like September 15th, and my insurance was in effect on October 1st.

Keystrokes insurance

Can someone give me details on the type and price of insurance available at Keystrokes.  Am thinking of applying with them in the near future but need insurance info as that would make my decision for me.  Price for family or employee/spouse, office visits covered with copay, prescriptions, etc.

Thanks for any information you may be able to give me.

Keystrokes Insurance
Has there been any change in Keystrokes health insurance yet? I need to know if they have gotten new coverage, how much it costs and how long does it take to get on it. Thanks for any info.
Keystrokes insurance
I was wondering if anyone who works for Keystrokes can email me privately or over this forum as to what their insurance costs per month.  Also, how is the coverage, etc?  Thanks!
Keystrokes insurance

This company's actions in this matter are simply disgraceful.  I was made to feel that I was the ONLY one in the company distressed over the inadequate insurance offerings.  When I received the AFLAC brochures, I trashed them.  Supplemental insurance is useless to those without comprehensive primary coverage.  Their excuses get more creative each time I inquire (i.e., The reason we can't get better coverage is because most of our employees are women...; most of our employees are married and covered already so they don't even CARE about insurance...; yada yada yada...).

So...while they continue to explore the options, and promise us weekly that things are almost finalized, many of us are just hoping to stay well.  In 2007 I was told that the only oustanding issue was whether office visits would cost $20 or $30.  Shame on them.

I'm at least relieved to know I'm not alone here.

Keystrokes Insurance
Has anybody heard if there is any chance that we will be offered more affordable insurance? I love this company, but the insurance rates are killing me.

I don't get their insurance because my husband has better insurance so can't tell you much else...Hope that helps :)
Keystrokes insurance
Can anyone working for Keystrokes tell me how their insurance coverage is, what it costs and the deductible. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Keystrokes insurance
Please, I didn't mean to start another war. I just wanted to know about the cost of their insurance. Anyone working there have an answer to my question? I would really appreciate this as it will decide whether I even go through their testing process. Any useful information? Thanks
TransTech and Keystrokes insurance
Can anyone tell me who carries the major medical with these companies?  Thinking of applying with both companies but want to know who they have their major medical with before I apply.  TIA
Keystrokes - Health Insurance
I think I remember that Keystrokes is supposed to be getting new health insurance that will be less expensive.  Can any Keystrokes employees tell me what is going on with that?  Do you have it yet?  How much is it a month?  I am considering a job at Keystrokes but I need the health insurance benefit, preferably low cost.  Thanks for replying.
Did Keystrokes ever get the new health insurance? NM

Just wondering.

Keystrokes Health Insurance
For single coverage:
$202 a month with $2500 deductible.

$251.30 a month with $1000 deductible
Keystrokes insurance vs mine
I just saw the post below on Keystrokes insurance. Count you blessings guys. My company's health insurance is only around $100/pay, family $900, but get this. The deductible is $5000 single/$10,000 for family, and if you have family coverage, the $10,000 must be met before anyone is eligible for coverage. This company does not really expect anyone to buy this insurance. This is insane. You are better off just to pay your own way, and take your chances. I pay $20 a month on my hospital bill, and there is nothing they can do as long as I am making payments. I don't know what else to do. I have lots of health issues and worry every day.
Is Keystrokes the beneficiary for the life insurance they pay for?
If so, I'd be a bit careful
Keystrokes is hiring. Can anyone tell me how much for their medical insurance benefits etc...
I am looking for a FT job with good medical benefits for either myself or family coverage. They are seeking ortho MTs and that is right up my alley. Thanks in advance for any help.
