and the sound quality was  very good.  If that is any indication, maybe something has changed?

experience and I've had tests that I've left blanks on before and still been offered positions. It depends on why you left the blanks.  Was the dictator an ESL, was the sound quality poor, etc. 

I think they are a good company, not without some issues, but then no company is.

the person recruting called me to ask if I would consider the QA manager position because I had scored higher on their test than anyone had before.  So, they fly me down, put me up, I rent a car and take a look.  It is a slave house.  Everyone but the person who was acting as the recruiter was great.  It was a slave house.  They record off RERECORDED work...talk about listening through the sounds of Pink Floyd!  They say they wanted to offer me the job but don't tell me how much they will pay me.  I go home and sit back and wait.  THREE weeks later the recruiter calls and gives me the details.  I tell him I'm no longer interested.  It had taken over 2 months from the time I took their test to get an offer.  While I was their, the person boosted about infidelity...that was what really got me.  First time I made a mistake, there wouldn't be anyone there to catch my back.

I walked away and never looked back.

Now they offer no testing for experienced MTs? 

When I applied, they said they had no PT hours available unless strictly weekend.

Also, you have to work 1 weekend day, and supposedly Mondays are very slow.

I was offered a very low rate and was told that would mostly have to do VR.

Politely declined and will leave the work for those happy TTs who like to work weekends for next to nothing.

Why do the MTSOs give us the crummiest dictators for application testing? I know it wouldn't be a challenge to our MT abilities if they all spoke like Shakespeare, but it seems like they do it on purpose...after lengthy applications, vocabulary tests, interviews, they give us dictation to pull our hair out.  They probably couldn't understand half of it themselves.  Why not reverse the process (lol), so we can save ourselves some time and effort? 

I don't know that it follows any particular way, but I always use BOS guidelines unless told otherwise.  I am by no means an expert on BOS as the companies I've worked for haven't used it at all, or only used bits and pieces - the client dictated style most of the time.  The company that did the testing and Axolotl both told me I did extremely well on the testing, so I'd just say do your best and don't stress. 

I just tested for a company who had me transcribe several reports.  The reports consisted of good dictators that were extremely fast.  Unfortunately, I left a few blanks where I just could understand what she was dictating. 

My question is this, how many of you tested for a company where your sample reports had blanks and did you get the job???????

She is mailing my check via Fed Ex.  The original must have gotten lost in the mail.  My intention was not to post negatives about the company.... and I do not feel that I have.  My original post was to inquire if whether or not anyone else was waiting on a check, as there are some companies that do have problems here and there, whether it be the payroll company they use, etc. 

I am sorry if anybody saw my post as a negative about the company.  It was just an inquiry, that's all, and everything has been resolved quickly and wonderfully.  StatIQ is great place to work and I would never discourage anyone from working for them.

stating they noticed jobs were getting cancelled  once and sometimes twice by same person and that the more difficult dictators were getting picked over.  They stated it would not be tolerated and cherry pickers would  be addressed and possibly terminated. 

I know this is a huge undertaking and may not always get 100% done, but at least they are aware and taking a stand.  Perhaps the guilty people will grow up and take the time to learn those dictators now.  We all know that some of those horrible ESL say virtually the same thing over and over. 

I am just happy that they, once again, prove they are trying to look out for the MTs and MEs and see that we are all treated fairly and equally.  I have been very happy with Webmedx up to this point and now even more so.

All the years I worked for MQ, they knew it happened and I don't think made any attempt to address it.  At WMX at least they must be monitoring it or they wouldn't know the same person kicked the same job back more than once.  

that whenever they offer a bonus like that and the work is so far behind, somehow it almost never fails, everyone pitches in, even if it just for a few hours, and the work somehow gets done.  They have been a great company to work for, and I think a lot of it has to do with morale and actually wanting to help out, not just $$.
