Good intuition..
You just have to be careful. Sometimes not working full time at all you end up shooting yourself in the foot. That's why I want a full time job but I will keep working the odesk jobs and the per diem and quarterly work. I mean, if it wasn't for odesk my kids would have had a really crummy Christmas and Easter this year! :)
But you are right, the way everything is offshoring and VR is becoming the way to go (unfortunately) it is good to have a backup plan! That is why if I really can't get back into this I can always fall back to technical support and put myself back through school - I don't want to but if it gives me the career I want that is what I have to do! :(
Thanks for all of your responses. You echo my intuition.
Thanks so much for your responses. I agree with you. I do have a roving eye, just in case, but that would be for any job in this economy. But, I love TT, and considering the fact that I am willing to put the work in to get up to speed, I really don't want to leave, at least not yet. Frying pan to fire, etc. TT has a lot of things besides what I mentioned that I can't put into words. I guess it is just a right fit and where I want to be... so unless things change really badly.. I want my job and I want to keep it! Thanks again everyone for your help.
Absolutely exists
As a MTSO I had another MTSO give me a list of names of people to never hire because he/she had a bad experience with them. I like to make my own decisions so I ignored his/her advice.
I don't think a better company exists.
I do think you should look for another job though. No one should be as miserable as you are. I left my last company after 10+ years because I was as angry as you were, best thing I ever did.
Ever hear of woman's intuition? Find another before you leave
ers
Cymed no longer exists, it is SPI and from
everything I've heard/read about SPI they run a second to SS in being the worst place to work.
If it exists, I doubt anyone in the know would openly share it.
