Talk to HR if you need more help. It was presented by BCBS, not our HR group. Showed how to access your account, benefit stuff online.

for an individual in your age group for $300 a month and only a $250 deductible sounds pretty good!
Re #3, you need not mention the fit at all if you're looking for an at-home position. If asked, just mention they were happy with your work. We at-home MTs don't do phones!

Maybe I'm showing my ignorance
But I don't know why it wouldn't. When we use these platforms, at least in theory they are not supposed to do anything to our copy of Word. They just sort of overlay it with their platform. Over the last couple of years, I've accumulated several different platforms on my desktop without problem. Maybe if you tried running both at the same time you would run into issues, but using them separately should present no problem.

Those are the MTs who are so terribly outraged about the change to VR because they cannot make usage of their so helpful, comfortable and practical Expanders anymore.
How dang dumb is that statement. Those helpful, comfortable and practical expanders are what made us more lines and thus made us more valuable to the MTSO by making them more money! Sheesh....
Dennis Paulik not showing up
You know what...those 2 ladies did his dirty work for him...the 2 of them have built quite a reputation for themselves. I wonder if he (Dennis) will turn around and find them to be overpaid so that they will find themselves out of jobs too. Let's be honest, there's nothing they do that a person from India can't do...Just remember...you reap what you sow. That motto applies to not only to Dennis but to Kathy Clemmons and Colleen Neidert as well...because remember, God doesn't like ugly, which is all that they seem to have spewed here. This is a horrible situation and if I were in the shoes of these 2 women, I would worry if I would be the next person to stand in the unemployment line.
I have BCBS individual policies for myself and
my last home-living son. When all my children were still at home, they had individual policies that they could take with them.
It was cheaper for me to do buy each of us an individual policy and know that I can keep us insured 100% of the time regardless of whether I changed jobs or not.
The plan I chose for ours has a $5000 major medical deductible but we have not ever had to use hospitalization and I can pay out $5000 one way or another. Office visits are covered 100%. That was my main concern as I wanted the routine items covered. I can handle facing the other big ticket items. I also wanted the lowest premium possible. It was a great bargain for us.

I've been working 5 hours and it is still only showing 250 lines. It will
come up eventually correct, but seems to take forever.
Is Transtech payroll being done in-house now? My DD is not showing up yet today and it always is.
I know payday is Monday, but mine has always shown up at my bank today. I hope they don't start delaying our paychecks because it is being done inhouse instead of being outsourced.

I am not going to argue with you but suffice to say that RD is no longer here either. It has obviously been a while since you were an employee of the company. I don't know and don't care why you left/or were let go, but do not speak of something you know absolutely nothing about. It only looks bad on you.

Dental is Metlife; medical is BCBS w/medication plan sm
$1000 deductible but office visits are $25 co-pay. I think there is a vision option but I don't take it. DD, payday every other Monday; my checks have always been on time. Incentive plan based on total # lines produced, as well as shift differential (not much but there is one). 6 paid holidays, PTO (which is not much first year but rises after that).
As for hours, talk to the recruiter about what you want; I believe schedules are based on which accounts have needs at the time you apply.
401K - no matching.

401k funds are protected by govt insurance similar to the insurance
that banks have (FDIC). It is safe even if the company goes under.
The insurance cost is double for Transcend but insurance probably doesn't factor in for her.
I have heard more good things about Axolotl than Transcend, although it seems Axolotl may be less flexible with your schedule and someone told me that QA was pretty strict, which should not matter either if you have worked for a hospital and know what your QA score is.
The insurance plan in my opinion is excellent insurance. I am not sure if it will change when it'
time to renew or not. I really hope not but I know that a lot of companies change every year in an effort to keep costs down because most insurance companies start raising rates after you have been with them a year. The insurance is Great West and they also have excellent dental and vision plans. I believe the cost is less than $70 a pay period for the employee.

The insurance seems like they don't want to cover anything, even simple prescriptions I used to pay 4 or 10 dollars on I now pay 20 to 43 dollars. I like the company/people so far, just don't like the insurance.

MTSO, which MTSO it is and whether the coverage is decent? I currently pay $92.00 a pay period for decent coverage but am trying to figure out if I am getting a good deal or if I could do better elsewhere.

I have not complete any formal training with a medical transcription school, but have 15 years experience in acute care. Their web site says they prefer transcriptionists who have completed formal training with an accredited school. I really want to apply, but since I haven't gone to school, I am hesitant. Anyone know if they will hire based on experience, without having completed training?

I am thinking about making a website/blog specifically for Pro-American MTs, educating the general public what's truly at risk here. For starters, I am personally going to boycott all doctors who support/send their dictation other countries!!!
I want to make the general public aware and get their input on supporting such a boycott. Hopefully, they'll join in on the boycott too.
My money is going to the doctor who supports American jobs. I'll put my trust in those physicians, thank you. As far as the docs who send their dictation to MTSOs who send our jobs overseas, I hope they all move overseas and live happily ever after! You don't deserve to live in America!
