I bailed after 6 months
I have never seen a company so short on communication. When I was hired, it was done by email. I received NO information about the account, what the account specifics were, nothing! My only communication was with one of the QA people who sent me what information she had. It took MONTHS to get my insurance benefits and I paid for them for months before I actually got the cards. The payroll guy would never answer my questions until I went to the head of the company and still that didn't help. I would send receipt requested asking about my insurance and nearly 3 months later got one back saying it had been returned unread. He didn't submit my life insurance paperwork and 4 months later when I kept asking him about it, he said I had to resubmit, and because it wasn't turned in during the hiring process, I could only apply for the minimum. One evening I received a particularly nasty email from a QA person saying I needed to go to school and listing all these mistakes that had been made the night previously, so I went through all the reports I had done and the reports weren't mine! I told her and the head of QA that they were NOT my reports and I did not appreciate such a nasty email. Never did hear back from the two of them, but the nice QA sent me an email saying they made a mistake and she wasn't sure why they sent that to me. I just thought boy I'd hate to be the new person who got that one! They tell you nothing and assume you know it all. I worked 7 days a week, never missed a day, yet somehow never got the bonuses they promised, nor did I get the sign-on bonus. The only thing close to a bonus was the email saying they didn't meet their profit quota for the quarter so wouldn't be paying anything. I was particularly disgusted when they sent out the pics of all of them at some big banquet patting each other on the back yet we never got a single thanks. Did you notice too it seems that it's all a family thing? They hire account managers with NO transcription experience and then their spouses, cousins, etc. I got tired of the emails from the account managers saying everybody needed to work harder so they would get more money that month (they get paid based on what we type). Another little thing that finally put me over the edge was the assistant account manager would call me without fail 2 hours before my shift was to start and ask me if I would be able to get on and help out. I worked nights so most of the time she would wake me up. I told her time after time I would be on when my shift started, like always. The last time she did that, I just quit and I'm so glad I did. The accounts were great to work on, but the people really suck big time. I love the company I'm with now!
I bailed four months ago for an sm
in-house job, and am I glad I did! The hospital where I am is local. I have two more months in-house and then I get to come home to work. Sounds like I got out just in time.
And to think, they get all of their stuff from CHINA!
whoa!
Either China or Japan - right now, we are actually
money from them EVERY DAY to pay for the war in Iraq. So, when it's all over and the fat lady sings - she'll probably be singing in Chinese or Japanese, because at that rate, they WILL own us.
Actually it was probably made in China - LOL.
I was switched from one heavy ESL acct to another and couldn't get the lines, so I bailed. Other

I stayed 3 months and then bailed out. Ran out of work, lack of communication, etc. nm

You're SO right! Not only China, but now the US has an open (sm)
trade agreement with KOREA... another less-than-scrupulous part of the world.
As for the name of the guy you talked to in India, I have noticed that with Dell Computers. When you get tech support, whether on the phone or by email or instant message, they always have an American-sounding name. That seems purposely deceptive.
Not sure if they do, but their software hdqrts are in Japan, China, India & Mongolia, found on

"United States of China" roflmao!!! That's the funniest thing I've heard all day!
