It's just logic.

In Reply to: This is definitely simplying things, but I think you get the gist (inside) - Another Transcender
Just in the first 2 words in your sentence it's obvious that it takes more to edit than to type. Typing "so you" takes 6 Keystrokes (including the space). Editing will take a keystroke to get to that point in the text, 2 keystrokes (ctrl, shift + arrow, arrow) to highlight the 2 words, a keystroke to delete them, and then the 6 keystrokes to retype the correct words.

Yeah, logic says you should go with
the company that only 40% of the employees seem to be happy with, judging by posts.
Seriously, I've worked for both, and I'd never go back to the Q.
I'm not sure I exactly follow the logic
To me it's much easier to remember that I get paid every other Friday, and if I didn't get paid last Friday, I will this week. Perhaps it's my advancing age, but I have an easier time remembering that if I watched Project Runway last night, it might be payday today than remembering the current date and calculating when the 15th or 30th is unless it's a 31 day month (it takes time to run through 30 days has November, April, June and September...) As far as consistency in pay, assuming the work has been there and I've fulfilled my obligation, it's easier for me to figure 10 (or whatever) days in a pay period than it is to look at a calender and figure how many actual work days there are between the 16th and 30th (or 31st or 28th). Plus, a lot of us have specific days off that we take care of things. Some of us really do live paycheck to paycheck, so shopping by necessity has to wait until the eagle flies. If you paycheck comes on a Tuesday, conceivably it might be rough being able to get away to do that shopping with the hours we're forced to spend in front of the computer these days.
Of course, everybody is different and I think it's also a lot in what you get used to. If you're used to getting a paycheck every 2 weeks, it's tough to suddenly have to extend that out over anywhere from a 1 to several days.
NOTE: I wish they'd stop calling that button QUICK reply because I sure as heck can't do that.
The logic for incentive pay.
The reasoning for incentive pay is to do something that most people don't want to do which may entail some sacrifice (above and beyond merely working!), that may be hazardous in some way, or when there is more of a need.
For parents, especially during the school year, this is their chance for quality, non-stress time; if their child is in athletics on any level, there frequently are activities on the weekend. If you're single and/or social, this is when most people date, activities happen at clubs, sporting events, etc. Obviously if you work weekends you could find someone else that also works weekends, but then you're dependent on them having your same schedule, and the opportunities for 'social' events through the week are limited. Scientific data confirms the importance of bonding and social interaction, and a work schedule that limits is detrimental to our mental health and emotional well-being.
In addition, as far as third shift goes, our circadian rhythms are set up to sleep in the dark, wake in the sunlight. Working a shift that forces the body to go counter to those natural rhythms has been shown to be stressful to the body.
In addition, as companies frequently cite a need for these shifts to be covered, an incentive may motivate for someone who doesn't have the above issues to work it.
Sorry this got so long.
Your logic is circuitous and not logical at all sm
What does scamming (because basically you ARE scamming multiple companies out of their hard earned money, by being dishonest about your intentions) multiple employers on your part, have to do at all with some companies that overhire??? What, you punish everyone for the sins of a few?
I hope to god you don't come to work where I work. We don't need your kind.
It was the sound of logic going over your head.
x
To follow that logic one step further,
then why is Transcend trying so hard on this board to convince everyone they are not the anti-Christ? If they were that good, everyone would be beating a path to their door and they wouldn't have to be defending themselves to the degree we are seeing...
but correct me if I'm wrong...
A blindly written defense regardless of logic
I don't know how many, but just because 1 or a few are having a bad time doesn't mean they are lying no matter how small of a percentage they comprise. I never said they are all sister MTs sharing the good word. I said this is a place also for MTs to share and support each other when they feel they are in a bad spot, not just share the good word on a company...sometimes there are problems and they want support anonymously. There were 2 posters specifically that had intelligent well-worded concerns they voiced (and I believe one said at the risk of being bashed even)...that seems scared to me and they seemed to be real concerns, asking if it was just them or were others having the same problem. Their posts didn't come across at all as company bashing. And who are you? Do you know the poster, Carlotta either? or are you her? How do you know what she does or doesn't do or who she can weed or cannot weed out unless you are her posting under different names as you accuse others of doing? & she didn't say come to me IF...it was much harsher and dismissive than that. But I tell you what, I've actually got better things to do at this point than argue because people are going to believe what they want to about any company regardless of what is said. It is just sad to see people come here for support and then have to fear being weeded out because they sought honest advice and help and find their boss coming after them on here seeking to find out who they are and calling them liars. So, I respectfully disagree with you. The whole tone of her post, to me, proved more than discounted what she set out to prove/discount by writing it. have a good night!
For a great radiology program, you want Fusion RIS (formerly RIS Logic)
https://www.merge.com/estore/software.aspx
Now THAT'S a nice, quick, simple radiology program that you can use ShortHand with and WinScribe or whatever waveplayer. Ahhhhhhh!
your post lacks logic and makes no sense, whatsoever..sm
What is the REAL message in her post?
That her grammar is awful.
Don't understand your logic....Sour grapes = unprofessionalism, incompetence, outsourcing
A true professional MT will refuse to work under such conditions.
