If so, how is that handled by the company?

12,000 lines per pay period
It's a pretty strict requirement for all full-time MTs to make their lines in order to remain full-time and keep benefits. Obviously, if there are valid circumstances that prevent you from making your 12,000 lines, they are very understanding. They will help everyone in any way they can.
20,000 lines a pay period would be wonderful.
I'm lucky to get 10,000 to 12,000.
12,000 lines per pay period to be considered SE...nm

12,000 lines/pay period not 1200
I'm sure it was a typo, and I'm not picking on anyone, but I just want to clarify that it is 12,000 lines per pay period that is required of an SE which is roughly 1200 lines a day. Hope this helps!
1200 lines/pay period?? nm

1200 lines a pay period
The requirement for direct deposit is 14,000 lines a pay period CONSISTENTLY, so in breaking it down over a 13-14 day period, a bit over 1,000 lines a day -- hope you can brush up on you math too
I meant to say 12,000 lines per pay period (nm)

x number of lines per pay period. I have sm
insurance for myself and husband and it runs right at 200 a pay period but it is fantastic insurance. It has only gone up once since 2003 when I started working for Webmedx.
I manage to get almost 20,000 lines per pay period typing.
if you really must know.
Insurance way too high. 12,000 lines per pay period.
All they offer are the few days of PTO. That does not include sick days or personal days and if you take a holiday off you will also have to use PTO to get paid for it, only pay for holidays if you work um.
My friend told me that there is no way she will be able to make the minimum line requirement after being switched to a VA account. She also said that on a whole their accounts are lousy and QA is very inconsistent.
I think its 6000 lines per pay period and 20 hours.....but

10,0001 lines per pay period for FT with benefits. nm
I'm fulltime IC, need to get 10,000 lines per pay period, believe parttimers need 5000 per pay
period. They've been very flexible with me, as long as I get in the required lines by the end of the pay period. We use DQS platform, which is user friendly, but I don't think it's as easy to get lines as on some of the other platforms, I think because of the way it counts them. DSG is a good fit for me, always treated me fairly, pay is on time.
Had you worked for them very long? How many lines were you averaging each pay period?
That is terrible. I am so sorry to hear that. Best of luck to you in your new job.
Is that $12,000 per pay period or 12,000 keystrokes
6000 lines per pay period (2-weeks) and 20 hours per week that is
Just clarifying.
Full time empoyee status only -- 1000 lines/day, 10,000 per pay period.

Cost per pay period for single coverage is $94.36, $1.68 vision, $7.06 dental. Hope this helps.
Ditto, Keystrokes is a wonderful company with wonderful people! I love working for Keystrokes!
I am just not making enough money. They are a great company though, just ask for a back up account.
185 lines? The company I'm working for wants 250......what is the average???? Anyone???
Thanks!
Been working almost 2 months now and almost at required lines. (sm)
Taking me longer to get used to program than I had anticipated. I know we have 90 days to actually make the grade, but am getting slightly worried. No one has called me on it, but I am sooo nervous. I am not a newbie, but maybe I am getting too old to learn new programs/etc.
Of course, checking the boards while I am working is not exactly helping me. I realize that and am only doing so on breaks now. Any helpful hints?
15,000 lines per pay period. 8 years with KS, 6 years on this account! nm
Not going anywhere else!
DRC used to be 60,000 keystrokes/day for about 925 lines for FT. Will

Keystrokes lines
I worked on an account that paid by the minute of dictation.
been working a split shift for a month just to try to maybe get my lines in
Which is slowly draining the life from me. I can get their minimum NO problem at all if they provide steady work. However, it trickles in now and most of the time I have to wait between jobs for work. Also really tired of their dumb e-mails patting us on the back because everything is in TAT. Well, with not enough work and too many MTs, what do you expect?? I am heading for the way out pretty fast!
I've been working 5 hours and it is still only showing 250 lines. It will
come up eventually correct, but seems to take forever.
That is *.11 for all lines typed* when working agreed-upon schedule.
Making less per line is not a raise.
I am currently working for Keystrokes and
I have to agree with the poster who said she does not have enough work. I have repeatedly asked for a back up account since September and I keep hearing they are looking into it, and yet there are ads for new transcriptionists all the time. I'm not sure what the deal is and why they can't seem to find a back up for me, but I'm getting very tired of it and am seriously thinking about looking elsewhere for a job. I love the account I am on now if only there was more work, and my lead is great but I am just not making enough money.
Keystrokes does not go by keystrokes, we go by lines. sm
1200 lines per day comes out to 150 lines per hour. Most transcriptionists are able to do 200-250 lines per hour, so this is not unrealistic, nor is it unreasonable. The hospital that I used to work at prior to coming to Keystrokes had a minimum of 185 lines per hour. The service I worked for prior to Keystrokes had a minimum of 200 lines per hour.
Does Keystrokes provide 800 lines or do you

I love working for Keystrokes...
I can't answer the second part of your question because I have been with them for 2 years...but I know they are a stable company and I finally found the perfect fit for me...good luck!!!
Great working at Keystrokes.
I would like to hear from anyone with Keystrokes. I have been here for 7 months now and really love this company. The only thing I might complain about is their system for keeping line counts. Has anyone experienced any trouble as far as line counts go??? I would like some input on this. Thank you very much.
Anyone working at Keystrokes using dialup? Please help. sm
Keystrokes all set to hire me (and I want job) but dialup killed it. I work on DoQuscribe with dialup currently with no problems but Keystrokes said no. Any input or help appreciated. Thanks.
That many keystrokes worked out to 925 lines +/- a day. You have to stick to 8 hrs a day, though. St

Think it was a minimum of 60,000 keystrokes a day, equiv. to about 925 lines? That was a while ago.
s
my company, not Keystrokes, 1020 lines/day
nm
keystrokes vs. lines doesn't really matter
If they stick to a standard 65 character line and include each keystroke as part of a line it won't make a difference. I made a mere 7.5 per line at a previous job (counted headers and footers) and made much better money because I was put on good accounts and kept on them. I've read some companies do not pay for spaces. My thoughts on that is fine, Iwouldn'ttypethem.
If it's not a trick line then counting by lines is okay.
How do you get your required lines if there was no work at DSG or Keystrokes. Is
that a problem with them if there is no work or what do you do. Thanks!
If you are doing 2400 lines in an 8 hour day, working 5 accounts +, running out of work on all 5,
then pray tell us how you are doing it. I certainly would like to share this with MQ because I also have done this many years, know my work, and there is no way to do 2400 lines because most days all the accounts are out of work.

Anyone working for Keystrokes care to comment?
Talking to them this week and just checking around. Anyone work for them or had experience with them? Appreciate any advice. It is for a RAD position. Thanks.
I am not management...I just happen to love working for Keystrokes...
sorry you had such a bad experience but doesn't mean that Keystrokes is bad...just in your opinion...
