A company in Florida. The bad news
died down and no posts for quite a while, so I thought it got better, but oh, was I wrong.
Very small company in Florida.
There are only a handfull of us working for this company and so when other MTs cherrypick, it really affects the rest of us. I am constantly stuck working all the difficult doctors and trying to get the reports from going out of TAT while other MTs cherrypick the good doctors, even though their reports are no where near TAT.
This just started recently so I don't know if it is someone they just hired or not, but I am tired of it already. Since this has started happening, I have seen my pay drop as I can't get the same lines I could before with a mix of doctors. Now I regularly transcribe for the same three docs that no one wants to do and I am losing about $4 an hour. I am so tempted to just start cherrypicking myself, but that is not in my nature. I play by the rules, and I am getting dinged for it. Since my account manager could care less, I am looking elsewhere, which will be hard as I really love this account and the flexibility it provides, but I can't afford the loss in pay.

MedScribe in Florida is a good company
MedScribe in Florida is a great place to work, you will find many posts in the archives. There are several other places that call themselves MedScribe but they are not out of Florida. The one in Florida has been around since 1992, I have worked there for 3 years and they pay on time with direct deposit every other week and the insurance is affordable and a good plan.
I believe that the Medscribe out of Florida is a different company than the one out of New Jersey
but I could be wrong... I applied with the one out of New Jersey and there never seems to be anything on here about them, which to me is a good sign. This was for an Dictaphone account also.
I also work for a company in Florida and we're running
low on work, just within the past 10 days. I know it's due to the hurricane though. My main account was in New Orleans and just isn't dictating and won't be for a while, I guess. They didn't dictate each day but when they did send work about 3 times a week, I could work for 2 straight days w/o running out of their work. I type a lot of lines each day and for me and the others on that account, we are now on our secondary and third accounts which takes takes work away from others.
Has anyone heard of a small company called SRB in Florida. Curious.

Has anyone ever heard of the transcription company Medical Dictation out of Florida?
Just curious to see if anyone knew anything about this company. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I work for a company in Florida too who gladly pays state taxes because
they know it is the law.
JLG is not in Clearwater ..
but a smaller town named Oldsmar .. they used to be in Tampa. ATSI is not related to JLG and are relatively new to our area. There may be some last vestiges of Spheris left in Clearwater too .. TSI is in Clearwater.

and Sarasota, I used to work there a long time ago. Very nice people, checks always on time. As I said, it was so long ago I would not know about benefits or pay scales but the people were nice and honest. It was a good place to work.

If this is the same place I was hired there but waited over a month for them to get the paperwork in order to start. In the meantime I was offered an home position with a local dr so I did not actual go there. I was getting a little worried on how long things were taking. Sorry not much help here.

I noticed ATSI just posted once again on MT Daily the same job ads last month where they offered me a position and then never bothered to follow through with me. Please DO NOT even consider applying or working with this company. They will do you like they did me. It's not worth your time testing with them. Very disorganized company. I am very disappointed how they treated me and how they lead me on to offering me a position and then totally ignoring me when I left numerous of phone calls, e-mails, etc. Again, please DO NOT even consider applying or working for this company. It's not worth your time!

I just saw that ATSI posted AGAIN the same job ad (3 times within the last 3 weeks) that they screwed me on when they hired me last month and then totally ignored me and did not even follow through to me with my job offer. Looks like they cannot find any qualified MTs. Thanks for not applying with them and taking my advice. You will be sorry if you work for this company. I do not want you to get screwed like they did me. You do not deserve it!!! This company really has a lot of problems.

This is a wonderful transcription company. I actually worked in the office with the owners when they had an office in Sunnyvale, TX, and got to know them - nice people! I always have plenty of work unless it is around a holiday or Spring Break and everyone medical is slow at that time. My checks have always been GOOD and ON TIME! I have been with them since 01/2004 and would never want to work any place else.

going by the address in Clearwater - it's a pretty crappy crappy location
so it kind of makes me wonder what the company is like! I know that location shouldn't really matter, but let's be realistic - there are TONS OF PLACES in Clearwater with office space to rent, but judging by the address, I am pretty sure this is out of an apartment or house. Not that that should make a difference,

I always see job listings for them and have thought about applying but after reading through the posts, I am not so sure. I work on eScription now for MDI, great accounts, need help right now in a big way. I love it, and the money is good. I happen to work on 2nd shift and could use some team mates to help me out. If you like eScription, this is a great job.

For some reason, any info on them always gets deleted... and i have been watching for years and it's all bad.
I also worked for them... words cannot describe... it had a bad effect on me and I didn't deserve that. I work like a dog and am very conscientious always, my entire life. This was in the top 3 of worst work experiences of my life.

I work for OSi (Optiscript)in PA and it is great! The platform is great, compensation is very good as they pay incentive. Very nice people to work for, and good support.
