Is the platform compatible with an expansion

I don't mean using the features in MS-Word (Auto-Text, etc.), but something like Smartype or Shorthand? When I interviewed with them a couple of years ago, I was very impressed with them, but I can't fly without an Expander and there were issues with Lotus not counting expanded text with every expander I asked to use with it. It was only for that reason that I did not accept a position with them.

What is the best expansion software to use
I may be taking a position with them and need to know which program works.
For me I believe it is in the expansion program
It doesn't really matter which one, just USE IT! I don't use it just for reports or canned material, as you said, I do a lot of different accounts and docs. I do use it a TON for words that take time to type!
ie
ttpp as an ow hla wm inad.
26 Keystrokes should be 87:
The patient presents as an otherwise healthy-appearing white male in no acute distress.
See, it's in words, too, not just full sentences.
Hope that helps!
Help on converting expansion
can someone tell me how to convert my expansion file from Medquist so I can use it at MDI??? You can E mail if possible.

Have you tried just making the whole thing an expansion?
i.e., make an entry and call it pobid and have it expand to p.o. twice a day. Not sure if that would work in autocorrect but it worked for me in DQS, where we had the same problem. Might be worth a try. I have all those entered...poqd, potid, poqid, poq4h, poq46h, etc.

She only wants the expansions which were entered by her and were a product of her intellect. I don't sew myself a nice little dress and then send it on to Singer just because I used their machine.

VISTA IS COMPATIBLE
I dont know who told you VISTA was not compatible but it most certainly is! I bought a new laptop with Vista and have been working without any problems whatsoever. If you're having a problem downloading it, it's because you must first sign in as, run as administrator...then it will download for you...

MT equipment is often not compatible with VoIP too.
For example:
If you need your (*) key to sign off on a job, it may not work because some phone plans/phone cards will use that key to disconnect you so you can dial another number to avoid having to dial in again and enter your whole ID# and PIN# all over again.
Same goes for the (#) key; some may use this key for that function, which might be a key you need to get the header info. for each job or to repeat the header info.
It's very difficult for an MT to find a LD plan, and unfortunately, some MT companies out there don't realize this or simply don't care.

You were not fired; the offer letter states that employment is pending IS approval of your computer. Vista is NOT compatible with most MT platforms at this time. No one would have told you to purchase that. We do just the opposite and tell everyone NOT to purchase VISTA as it is does not work with our hospitals.
