Complement or compliment
You are correct, mtMOM. She spelled compliment wrong, among other things (rediculous?). Complement is a word but has a totally different meaning related to rheumatology.
I think we should consider it a compliment
I mean after all, why are they trying to recruit a few Americans? Umm, because they know we are good! They know the quality of work we turn out.
Also, I was always under the impression that if you were inside the American compound you didn't have to abide by their strict dress laws, its anytime you leave the compound that you do. Keep in mind too, your neighbors would all be other Americans who are there working. If I felt qualified for this position I might actually have to apply. If they still provide 2-3 round trip tickets during the course of your contract, it used to be that those tickets could be for anywhere in the world you wanted to go, no restriction to home only.
My husband and I actually considered doing this back in the early 80's as he was a respiratory therapist. The pay then was $100,000 a year for CRTT's or RT's. Can't imagine what they would pay now. But, you can't take dogs there, as they consider them food.
I was giving you a compliment...
that even though you only type clinic and for 1 American doctor, you are valuable to them. But nevermind--I'll take it back if it will make you feel better. :)
Thank you for the compliment! I will watch for your...
post on job seekers!
